This is the kind of store I grew up with in the 80s. All vinyl with a very cool staff of music experts. Not to mention live music and lessons in the back. This is a great place for the kids and adults who miss real record stores.

A year later and this place keeps getting better. Ian is cool as heck. There are always great scores. Prices are always reasonable and the $ 1 bins can’t be beat. He also rehabs turntables so you get get a quality player at a solid price. The back room offers music lessons. Support this store — it’s a hit!

Friendly staff with their hearts in their business. A wide collection of vinyl and they are so knowledgeable and ready to get you what you need. They also provide an array of music lessons like piano, guitar, and violin. They also host shows with local bands on the weekends. So happy that San Clemente has a record shop now.

This place is rad. Knowledgable, friendly staff! And an excellent selection in a wide array of genres. Hell, there’s even a studio here complete with music lessons!
Most record stores employ pretentious hipsters who only work there to check in «back to the grind» on their Facebook & foursquare status updates, so they can try to convince social media to forget about two years ago when they didn’t have their beard or tattoos, because now they work at a god damn record store. But then give you a blank stare if you ask them about burger records.
I’m stoked these guys know their tunes and make awesome recommendations. Almost 20 years later, I felt like I was 15 all over again! Thanks for the McButterflies guys!

New location up and running! Shop owner Ian is a McGreat dude. First bought from him on eBay last year and been a regular at his shop ever since. He specialises in punk, but has metal and classic rock for me and pop and jazz for others as well. Also sells shirts, back patches, posters and stickers. Go browse and pick up some music. Rock on!
