When I saw cracks on my walls, I was deeply worried. I called Haven. Shawn replied the call right away, and showed up on my property on time. He is very down to earth, knowledgable and honest. Spent 30 minutes with me, walked around the house, and pointed out possible drainage issues and solutions, and told me that the house just needs a proper drainage work. Haven Geotechnical Construction performed the foundation work on our house along with some interior repairs that were needed. They did an AWESOME job in the middle of winter. Haven Geo earns our highest praise. Shawn, the company owner, uses his degree in Geology and vast experience to come up with thoughtful, creative and cost-​effective solutions to engineering challenges. He and his diligent crew built an amazing, lifetime retaining wall, complete with the optimal drainage system, on a steep canyon of nearly impenetrable bedrock and in blistering heat — on time and on-​budget. Even though the crew was commuting from San Clemente to La Jolla, they were always on time and worked diligently throughout each day. Furthermore, Shawn and his crew were courteous, pleasant people, very respectful of my home and property, leaving the materials on site neat and stowed each day.
These days, you’re lucky if a contractor shows up, much less does what he says he’s going to do. Haven went the extra mile to do everything just right. They maintained ongoing communication with us, and made an effort to please us at every turn. Speaking of going the extra mile, Shawn noticed me struggling with some stubborn roots in my garden and interrupted his well-​deserved 15-​minute lunch break to fetch a power tool that made ready work of what might have taken me hours.
If all contractors were like Haven, homeowners would be fortunate indeed. I recommend Haven without reservation.
