I’ve never been to a daytime bonfire before. Having now spent the greater part of my life in the San Francisco Bay Area, I was pleasantly surprised to find a warm beach(albeit a bit windy). And unlike San Fran beaches, most people here were fully clothed. Despite the 7 days a week parking meters, there was ample parking, a nicely maintained stretch of beach with fire pits, picnic tables, and public showers to spray off the sand. We were there celebrating a wedding but saw people running the beach, families enjoying a beautiful day and lots of kids building sandcastles. Located right by one of the metro lines, it’s easy and accessible.
