We’ve come here a few times over the years. Was in the neighborhood and came by as they had the farmer’s mkt in town today. Ordered & food took a long while to arrive(there were only 2 tables dining and 1 already had their food). We ordered a salmon plate($ 18) and a lamb plate. Lamb plate came as 3 small patties. I though the price was a lit’ bit overpriced.

3 ½ stars. Just had a late lunch there. The food was decent but the portions were quite small. I guess it is authentic in the sense that they have«European» portions similar to what you would find elsewhere in the world. I guess us Americans are too used to getting huge portions.

Color me surprised. After so many mediocre Mediterranean restaurants, I thought this one would also be so so, but I thought the food here was quite good. It may be in the top 5 in the Bay Area I’ve had so far. Our visit started off a little rough though. We waited about 10 minutes before someone took our order. They were so busy helping everyone else but weren’t so timely in taking our orders. Almost walked out, oops! Anyway after the rough start, we got the food shortly after and I was pleased. The spanokopita comes in an order of 3 so it’s perfect to share. I thought these were quite good, with a good amount of spinach and cheese filling, and the phyllo dough was flaky and on point. I wonder if these were made in house? I got a gyro kebab plate and to my delight the meat was already sliced and not on a skewer. It came with rice, pita, some salad, and tzatziki sauce. The meat was quite flavorful and not dry. It went well with the tzatziki and the green hot sauce on the side. Most places don’t even give you tzatziki sauce for free anymore so this was a delight. Plate was $ 11 and while the portion size wasn’t super large, I thought the quality of the food was worth it.

Wrap was soggy and filled with more lettuce than actual chicken. Tzatziki was watery and didn’t have much of a taste.

We attempted to eat here tonight. We ordered our food, both got soup and an entrée. 10 minutes later another customer came in and placed his order. 15 minutes later the other customer was served. We waited an additional 10 minutes and did not receive our food, not even the soup. No one even addressed us. They kept staring at us but never said anything. We finally got tired of waiting and left. No one even asked us why we were leaving. We were so hungry too. Very disappointing. We’ve given them a lot of business in the past but they will not get our business again.

I absolutely love this place. The food is always good. Service is a little slow sometimes, but whatever. The gyro is the best thing ever. The potato chips are delicious. The cucumber tomato salad thing is amazing. Can’t say enough about this place in a great way!

I love having lunch in this restaurant — it’s perfect if I am taking my kids(10 and 13) out for a quick bit, and just as lovely for a lunchtime date with my husband. The wraps are delicious — on my most recent visit we enjoyed a chicken wrap and gyros wrap. The Greek salad is great and my kids like the hummus and pita. The staff are polite, the service is good and price is right! Would definitely recommend.

The Kefte Kebab with Greek Salad, rice, pita bread, and tzatziki at Santorini are just delicious. Don’t leave San Carlos or SMC without eating here first.

I am reviewing on behalf of my colleagues, we catered with Santorini via a 3rd party vendor. They offered reasonable prices, and a variety of choices. They were popular for their very traditional Mediterranean choices. They also were organized, from a catering perspective. So overall, A-Ok with some comments to great taste and healthy portions!

Nice little hangout for quaint gatherings, has a family run feel. Food quality is good, prices are affordable which is rare for that zip code! Good variety from the typical choices in town.

a NICE lunch spot in the downtown San Carlos area! it was perfect for us since we worked nearby and needed to be in & out the wraps come with yummy chips that are fried fresh in house & a side(i got greek salad) —gyro wrap: the meat in this wrap was so good but i didn’t like that it was made with a flour tortilla instead of pita! the tortilla was falling apart as i ate my wrap! NOTE they offer outside seating so take advantage if weather is nice

We stopped for a quick bite on our way home in SF. Everything we had was delicious — The gyros was tender and tasty, the baba ganoush(sp?) was smoky silky goodness, the homemade potato chips thin and crispy, service was fast and friendly and the price was more than right. Wish they were closer to home!

A nice Greek place(yes, really, Greek, not just Mediterranean) — definitely great for a quick lunch or dinner in San Carlos. They have real gyro wraps and healthier salads as well. Also they serve wine and beer, for those needing a drink. Prices are very moderate, we have a lot of food, and the check was under $ 35 for two, which I have not seen for a very long time at a sit-down restaurant in the Bay Area. They also do catering — mental note…

My first time trying Gyros was in Portland, OR. It was amazing and I’ve been craving ever since. My friend recommended this place when we were in town, so I tried it out. The dine in experience was great. The service was fast, the atmosphere was intimate, the food was delicious. It was a quick in and out. FYI: parking can be a pain because there are so many other restaurants nearby. Today, I ordered their gyros for take out. The quality was just as good as dining in. Hopefully my attached photo does this place justice, it’s as good as it looks. I called it in as I was on my way there(about 10 minutes away), and my order was hot and ready when I arrived. Totally satisfied and full! I’m sure there’s pretty better places, but I’m definitely happy with this place. It’s so good that I don’t want to try anything else, I just get the gyros whenever I come here.

2.5 stars. The location, outside seating & heat lamps make this place a good spot. But the food is nothing special. My chicken was really really dry. Mediterranean Delight on El Camino serves up better dishes.

I love this place. I used to sublet in San Carlos and I think it’s the best Greek/Mediterranean restaurant around(even if you go down as far as Mountain View). The falafel is moist and well seasoned. The salads are good, the pita bread is DELICIOUS. The hummus and baba ghanoush are also good. I recommend getting the appetizer sampler — you get A LOT of food for like 8 bucks. The wraps are also really yummy, and come with chips or a side salad. The greek salad is «meh» — I like mine to have lettuce in it, but theirs has only cucumbers and tomatoes. The outside tables are a nice touch, as on a nice evening you can people watch or just take a book and have a quiet bite to eat on your own. The inside is cozy and not too loud. The service is great, and they are willing to accommodate special requests(to a point). Oh, and I forgot one thing — the wine is so cheap!!! Can’t find a decent glass of wine for 7 dollars anywhere else within a 20 mile radius :) I come here often, and now that I’m writing this I think I may need to go again ASAP!

This place is garbage. The lamb in the lamb platter was tough, not flavorful and borderline dry. The white rice tasted bad. Who messes up white rice? Way too expensive for how poor the food was. We spent almost $ 60 on take out for two people and barely ate any of it because it was so bad. Even the pita bread wasn’t great.

I ordered a half-falafel half-shawarma(one of my new favorite dishes) wrap. It was pretty good. It came with a small Greek salad and was filling enough. Sadly, I can only compare to «Gotta Eatta Pita» and their’s blows me away every time. I liked this place too, just not as much! Also, it took quite awhile to get our food and we were the only ones there.
