Plaza Florist & Gifts

Just went in today during my lunch break. The lady was somewhat helpful in choosing flowers and creating a decent arrangement but I wasn’t really blown away and left feeling like I got ripped off. I highly doubt I’ll be coming back here in the future :/

I have to start with listen to the other reviews. I wish I had seen the honest opinions of fellow Unilocalers before taking in two vases for artificial arrangements. I needed them for my mantle and like supporting local stores so this place seemed to have a beautiful selection of fresh flowers so I thought I could trust them to make my artificial arrangements. My husband went with me and set a price limit of $ 200.00 per arrangement. Keep in mind I didn’t want anything extravagant, but rather tasteful to compliment my living room. Considering I brought in the vases I thought it would be a rather simple job and would have rather set a $ 150.00 per arrangement because I think that’s reasonable for the size of the vases. Well, I arrive to pick them up 2 weeks after they were ordered because she had to order the flowers which was fine. As we were paying a man checked us out. He didn’t ask if I liked them or anything. Then he told me my total 431.00. She charged us 198.00 per arrangement. She obviously stayed within my husband’s budget, but just barely. I feel taken advantage of and will NEVER use them ever again. I gave her too much freedom I guess and that’s my fault. Lesson learned the hard way. I will not be returning and I’m a local which is unfortunate for them because I buy fresh flowers weekly.

I went to Plaza for my all of my wedding flowers and they turned out beautiful and they weren’t over-​priced. The owner is very thoughtful and was absolutely on time. I’ve been back for other occasions and they have always delivered what I want. Strong recommend.

This is by far the worst florist you can go to! I’ve ordered sterling roses twice and they bring in lavender roses and try to sell them as the special sterling roses. I’m sure a lot of people don’t know the difference and get taken. Yes, they charge you the sterling price as well. Stay clear of this place. I agree, they are rude too!

Nice owners! Came in wanting an arrangement made for a friend’s house warming. I didn’t have any particular flowers in mind. So she ask what my budget was and she put together a beautiful arrangement of flowers for me. It was perfect! Colors of different flowers melded nicely together. I’ll be back for future floral arrangement needs.

It is a perfectly good florist. It will take care of most floral needs.

Nice people, but I didn’t look closely at the tulips until I got home an hour later. Although properly wrapped by the florist, the flowers were way past prime and bent over double and «on the way out» the same evening, despite being put in water promptly. Couldn’t really take them back as it was a Valentines Day present so too late.
I will look more closely next time (if there is a next time here).

Roem B must be related to these people because quality here SUCKS.
I debated about posting this for about a week — on one hand this is a local business in my industry so I don’t want to ruin anyone (not like one Unilocal review can but still… I’d be worried if my business got a 1 star) but on the other hand I was so unhappy with my flower delivery!
I received flowers for Vday and as a professional florist I can tell you one thing — they dont care about design or about the quality of their flowers. I would NEVER ever send anything like this out — ½ of the flowers in the arrangements were bruised or broken. Lilies still contained the staining dust. The collection of flowers was clearly made up of left overs on this busy Vday.
When I called the lady knew what arrangement I was talking about and was ”surprised” b.c. they had just made the bouquet — you could «just» make the bouquet of old flowers — doesn’t change the fact the flowers are old.
I’m all about supporting local businesses but I will not support this establishment. Who sends out old flowers? In addition, I asked my fiancé what type of flowers he ordered — he said roses and tulips. Umm… why did my arrangement contain 2 roses and 1.5 tulips (yes…half a tulip b.c. it was broken).
Although they promptly replaced their first delivery (yes…I did call and complained — the flowers were OLD and broken!) I can’t say that the second arrangement was any better. Again, I don’t understand when someone orders tulips and roses you send out gerbera daisies and filler flowers (most were dying on the spot).
2 stars only b.c. they promptly replaced the bouquet.

I asked for a pink and red bouquet with mix flowers and NO POLLEN (especially no lilies). We set a price, and I hoped for the best. Instead, I got a pink bouquet with tons of lilies after I especially request for flowers without any pollen. I hoped that they, being the professional florists, would give me the perfect bouquet. I could have spent much less money at an on-​line dealer, but I wanted something custom made with that touch of personalization.
Anyways, I’m not too happy about the bouquet I ordered. Although, if I hadn’t made any special requests, this bouquet would have been nice. If you aren’t making any custom arrangements, special requests, etc then you should try them out.

Pleasant, straight forward locally owned florist. Nice balance between cut flowers, arrangements and potted flowers for sale. They are always very considerate and obliging whenever I go in looking for a hostess gift or bouquet for my wife.
