Francesca is an amazing teacher. Her musical education is stellar and she has a gift for teaching music theory through the pieces she chooses as well as instruction. Using the right balance of fun and creativity with instruction, her teaching style resonates with students.

My son is 5yo, loves music and started his first music lesson program with Francesca. He is a thoughtful kid who has been exposed to a few activities and appreciates good teachers and coaches — he really enjoys Francesca’s lessons — he always comes home with a takeaway on what he learned, feeling successful that he made progress on a song and a definitive «yes» when I ask him if he would like to continue.
On the logistics side, we have been able to find days and times that work and find her fee reasonable for the quality of the experience and great time my son has.
I am looking forward to seeing HMS grow and add recitals to the program, it’s pretty awesome to be able to bring formal piano training into my son’s life and I can’t wait to see the product of Francesca’s training!

My 10– and 7-​year olds have been studying with Francesca since they were in Kindergarten (my 3rd child will start soon!). What I love about Francesca is her blend of theory, structure and skill matched with a simple desire to help kids to enjoy the piano.
I studied piano for about 12 years myself, so I’m quite particular about the quality of instruction and I am continually pleased with Francesca. I initially learned the way she is teaching my kids (although they get more theory, which I think is fantastic) and I really think it’s setting them up with critical fundamentals and a true musical appreciation without pushing them to the point of frustration and disenchantment.
Francesca is undoubtedly fabulous with young children, to boot. It’s one thing to have the musical skill, it’s quite another to match it with a talent for teaching youngsters. I would most highly recommend Francesca to get your child on the right musical track!

Our 7.5 year old son has been studying piano with Francesca for the last several months, and he loves it! He really enjoys his lessons, and is happy to practice the piano at home.
Francesca is very patient, knowledgeable, engaging, and — though my own musical instruction has been limited to a few years of piano — I can see that she is very thoughtful about her approach to musical instruction with young students, combining theory and practice that is readily accessible for her students.
I’m also excited by the knowledge of her wide ranging background in musical performance, instruction, and theory, and that as our son’s abilities grow, she will be right there with him.
Highly recommended!
