We had our company holiday party here in January 2016 and everyone raved about it! The venue did a great job. They have a friendly and helpful staff and were quick to oblige our last minute needs. The food was delicious and they were very willing to accommodate our employee’s dietary restrictions. People seemed to really enjoy their wine too. Parking is a little tricky but manageable. It is conveniently located near 101. Although when you first arrive the location seems strange for a winery, once inside it is absolutely beautiful! We had about 120 people attend and there was plenty of space for people to mingle and sit down to eat. The wine bottling activity was a big hit! I felt the venue was reasonably priced for the quality that we received. I highly recommend this venue.

I loved these guys for a variety of reasons:
— First of all, the wines are really good. I took a wine class at Cornell, where I tasted more than 60 different bottles and these at Domenico’s I tried are really good.
— It’s a family business. Sometimes people do a business for money, but sometimes they do for pleasure. I can tell you that they like what they do.
— I had only a few hours before my flight and decided to go for a last-​minute wine tasting. I did a basic research on Unilocal and found out that these guys were close, so
I decided to stop by. The business wasn’t open, but they opened for us anyway

We had our firm’s holiday party at Domenico’s this year. What fun it was, and everyone was happy with the beautiful space, relaxing yet celebratory atmosphere, varied seating arrangements, wonderful food, WINE, drinks, wine bottling station… everything that Domenico put together was fantastic. (I enjoyed how little I needed to do!) Many thanks to the entire crew.

I am writing this review on behalf of our team as a collective feedback on our recent Company Holiday Shindig @ Domenico Winery.
What comes into mind from the team feedback is this, «what an amazing space!» and it truly is/​was! It really brings to light the whole «don’t judge the book by its cover» saying. From the outside, it looks like any olé warehouse and you walk in and you are just pleasantly surprised!
It was a pleasure working with Marina and the Domenico team. These guys know what they’re doing and it made our event (my life) so much easier and seamless. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the activities were awesome. We wished we had more time!
But more importantly– the wine! OMG, my team could not stop talking about how good the Chardonnay was and the Mambo Italiano which was the crowd favorite.
IF you’re looking for a venue that can be transformed into a beautiful space, a wonderful experienced staff, and reasonable pricing– don’t look too far this place is legit!

Domenico Winery helped give me and my husband the wedding of our dreams! It’s definitely the hidden gem of San Carlos! To start, the staff is so friendly and provides top-​notch service. The Director of Events (Marina) is incredible! She is so organized, professional and responsive (even if you send her a ton of emails — which I definitely did). She always makes time to meet with you, and goes out of her way to make sure your wedding layout is exactly what you wanted. Marina was a dream to work with!
Next, the tables, table cloths and chairs are taken care of by the winery. While you have to pay for some rentals, the winery has a handful of 60″ rounds, cocktail tables and table cloths that you can use for free! This is something we really appreciated, as it definitely saved us $ 100 or so.
Additionally, the wine is so yummy! My husband and I went out of our way to go to a few tastings and events at the winery before our wedding to not only see our beautiful venue and the amazing staff, but also drink some of the fabulous wine! The week leading up to the wedding we picked our wines, which was a difficult decision as we loved all of them! Our guests also complimented us on the wine choices. There is also an option to have a full bar — something we also decided to get, which was well worth the added funds!
Lastly, the ambiance is phenomenal! The whole space is decorated like a tasting room — wine barrels around the perimeter of the space. Once the overhead lights are turned off, the barrels are decorated with real-​flame tea lights and the market lights are flicked on, the space is absolutely breathtaking! Nearly all of our 120 guests told us they were blown away by the romantic lighting and beauty of the venue — something most weren’t expecting from a winery in San Carlos.
I really can’t say enough about Domenico Winery. It is the perfect venue for anyone looking for a local venue with a romantic feel. Do yourself a favor and check it out!

Beautiful place with amazing people. We got married their on April this year and had the most amazing experience.
Marina is a delight to work with as she made our wedding experience very smooth, pleasing and relaxing. Right from helping with décor, to selecting wines, to co-​ordinating with wedding vendors, she took care of all the promised details.
They were very flexible with the choice of food vendors and helped us with furniture rental. My husband and I still get compliments for the wedding venue :).
Our guests loved this place and we recommend it to anyone who wants to have wedding or any kind of celebration.

I had always pictured my wedding reception to be at a winery. So when my husband and I got engaged last year we went on the search for the perfect venue to host our wedding reception. Domenico Winery was at the top of our list because it was spacious, gorgeous, and it fit our budget. I especially loved the chandelier, the large bar area, the wine barrels and the market lights. The wedding package they offered us came with chair and table rentals and beverage service and even a champagne toast for our guests. I also liked that we got to choose our own food vendors, unlike other reception venues we were looking at. Marina, the coordinator, gave us a wine tasting a few weeks before the wedding to choose the wines for the reception and they were all delicious! The vendors they selected for the signature drinks bar were very professional and the drinks were so good! They even iced the martini glasses so they would keep cool before serving the drinks in them. Marina also allowed me to use a private bathroom at the winery which was so helpful. They also allowed us to use their large flat screen TVs for the slideshow which saved us money. Marina was especially helpful in guiding me in the whole planning process. She was very attentive to all my questions through email and helped me with the day of coordinating. My vendors were allowed to go in 6 hours before the start time to set up. Which made them all really happy!
We got married on June 20, 2015 and it was incredible! All of our guests were impressed with the jaw dropping décor provided by their preferred vendor Marianne Dove Events. Marina made sure things ran smoothly and worked with all of my vendors to follow the timeline. We were very pleased with Domenico Winery and so happy that we had the wedding of our dreams there. We couldn’t have done it without their help.

It’s not your typical winery located amidst a beautiful vineyard. In fact I don’t think I ever would have happened upon this if not for an invitation to a private party… but I was there.
The sparkling wine I had was quite tasty but the catered spread was delightful. The in-​house catering included wait staff strolling by with a variety of lovely tastes — mostly vegetarian which I adored. One was a spoonful of watermelon morsels sprinkled with feta cheese… a treat! And then puff pastry with sauteed mushrooms. Quinoa lentil fritters…
As we mingled and chatted we noticed a few different stations appear around the circular expanse — a Cesar salad station, grilled vegetables (and lamb thingys) with portobello mushrooms, several other stations but my favorite was the polenta station. I ladled creamy polenta into a parfait glass and helped myself to portions of pesto, grilled veggies, mushrooms, Parmesan cheese…

I went for the Meritage and was delighted. Such a great wine. I love the environment in the inside and it is so beautifully designed and decorated. Wine, beer and other non alcoholic beverages offer anything for anyone.

I’m writing about the winery overall, and the event hosting in particular. I am a partner in a local law firm, and I have been holding events at Domenico for about 5 years. They have been just terrific. It is a great venue for events of almost any size. We typically have seminars of about 30 people, and it feels intimate and welcoming. We have also had events of 100 or more people, which it easily accommodates. And the staff always nail it. They put out terrific platters of salumi and cheese, and a great assortment of wine that the attendees rave about. We also give away bottles of wine to attendees, with custom labels featuring our firm.
As I’ll put in the Bacchus review, I have been making wine through the Bacchus Winemaking Club (the other half of the operation) for 10 years. It has been a very worthwhile pursuit, with great wine at a great price, and so much that comes with it in terms of the venue and the community.
Dom and Gloria and the rest of the crew are THE BEST. We are so lucky to have them in our community.

A winery in San Carlos, who knew? But it works wonderfully! The wines are delicious, with a few Italian wines — and reasonably priced. The people running it are fantastic and friendly, especially Mike A! The interior is done up with lights and barrels that make you forget that you are in a large warehouse. It’s amazing! They have wonderful events — get on their mailing list! Go to the events to find they’ll have selected wines on sale at even better prices. I’ve been a member for 5 years now and always enjoy the winery and people there.

I love this casual neighborood winery, in the middle of industrial area, a few miles from Belmont, Redwood City, Redwood shores, there is this family owned Domenico Winery.
The winemaker Dominique is quite awesome. He makes small production and keep the wine price very affordable because he sources grapes all over California. Dominick and Gloria Chirichillo’s choice of name for their winery is a reflection of their commitment to their Italian heritage and the tradition of family winemaking. In 1955 in New York, Dominick who is called Domenico in Italian was introduced to these traditions by his Nonno (grandfather), Domenico Giovinazzo. In the basement of their home was a wine press that Nonno showed Dominick; passing down from one generation to another the love of handcrafting wine.
Dominick’s passion for winemaking took him from amateur competitions, while he lived on the East Coast, to commercial status after moving to Northern California. Moving to California has enabled Dominick to choose his grapes hands-​on from selected vineyards in Napa Valley, Sonoma’s Central Coast, Alexander Valley, Russian River Valley, Amador County and the Lodi District.
Not to mention he is a member of the Santa Cruz Mountains Winegrowers Association, where he sources Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. As of fall 2010, the wines of Domenico have won 300 Medals for wines produced from these various regions!

I enjoy the 2009 «Miscela», Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, 76% Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cab Franc, 12% Merlort, a Bordeaux style blend, 13.5% ABV — Production 223 cases, a lovely wine to pair with food, and only $ 39.
I also like this 2010 Chardonnay, Santa Cruz Mountains, Production 394 cases, only $ 28, a perfect wine for seafood and light pasta dishes. I can drink it during the day or at night!
Service is always good here at the tasting room on the weekend. Good folks that truly love wines.
If you don’t want to drive to Napa or Sonoma, Domenico Winery is a good place to come over on the weekend for some wines tasting with friends. They also offer to rent out the place for corporate event or special occasion with catering food as well.

Their red wines are delicious, staff is courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. One of the best in the bay area for an urban wine space. Décor needs a little updating, but the warehouse space is unique.

Been seeing this place for awhile an always wondered. hmm a winery in San Carlos and Domenico wow. Then I stopped in and wow big difference. Its very nice inside, you wouldn’t really expect it from the outside.

I love all the wines they have, Of course I had to buy some everytime I came.
It was quite when I’d first come but then I found out all the great events they have going on and I just had to join this place is definitely happening. Live bands, food trucks, and its very spacious inside for all the parties they have. I suggest joining the wine club for all there great deals and v.i.p invites to all the events they have here.

I’ve been a member here for years. It is close to home, their Italian style wines are wonderful, ans they have lots of member events. Their staff is also super friendly and knowledgeable, especially Michael…

I’ve been a member at Domenico for over two years now and I love it. Their wines are really nice and they do many different Italian varietals. It’s also really convenient for picking up wine shipments or going to events. The pourers are always friendly and Domenico has many nice events for its members.
The wine club is easy to join with as few as 2 bottles per shipment. I’ve bought a futures case of Zinfandel in the past and gave bottles out as gifts to friends and relatives.

Semi-​urban wine tasting at it’s finest. I’ve been a fan of Domenico for the last few years. The wine maker focuses on Italian grapes and does a darn job at taking you back to the Tuscan countryside.
A few of my favorites include the Montepulciano, merlot and cab franc but do not miss out on the cabernet as it will knock you off your feet. And you wine haters fear not. They do have a small beer (and soft drinks) on hand so you will not feel left out while us wine-o’s down a few glasses.
The tastings are inexpensive and in a warehouse setting and the perfect place to kill a couple of hours. If you are up for it, you can bring in a hunk of cheese and some crusty bread and sit for while sipping a bottle of delicious Montepulciano.

Our «Employee Appreciation» event was held at Domenico Winery last night and we had a fantastic time!
Coordinating the event was a breeze and the facility is spacious and beautiful. The wine is excellent and their attention to detail was noticed and appreciated. Our group was also treated to a tour of the winery by the gracious and informative owner.
Kudos as well to DW’s recommendation of «Crystal Springs Catering». The food was outstanding.
We will definitely have another event here and highly recommend Domenico Winery.

LOCATION: On Industrial Road approx 5−8min drive south of shopping center on Brittan Ave & Industrial. Inside an industrial-​like building; shared parking spaces with other commercial business. FYI, parking spaces a bit tight; I got out of my BF’s car to let him park, then when we got ready to leave I just waited ’till he backed up to get back in the car. Wine barrels all along the walls are the main décor of the place. Simple round tables w/​& folding chairs on the floor to sit, drink, & eat cheese. Further in the back was a special RSVP wine tasting party. Very open space all around so you can see everyone. Bright lights high above since there’s no windows for natural light. Bar area to the immediate right when you first walk in.
CUST SVC: Excellent! The staff that greeted you at the door to the staff behind the counter were friendly, helpful, educational, & always with smiles. The staff here ENJOY their jobs or at gave me that wonderful impression. Keep up the excellent customer service!
TASTING: Our GP Deal came with 3 wine tastings and 1 bottle of wine. The tasting portions were suited just fine in our eyes. We opted with a sweeter wine to take home, their Sirene California Rose which is $ 20/​bottle or $ 16/​bottle for members
