An Evening with Children’s Authors

Why is it that I’ve only been to one official Unilocal event so far and I’ve been to this Evening With Children’s Authors several times?
+ This year’s authors and illustrators were the AMAZING Elisa Kleven, Leuyen Pham, and Robert San Souci, a talented and interesting bunch.
+ All the money goes to a great cause (a co-​op preschool for low-​income families in East Palo Alto).
+ The authors and illustrators will sign your books after they talk.
+ There’s no line to get into the event.
+ Hiller Aviation Museum is fabulous and not far from home.
+ Free parking.
+ There is never a shortage of delicious food and wine included for the price of your admission (this year they had Jett mini cupcakes — OMG!).
+ There is a raffle. This year I won the best prize (4 one-​day hopper passes to Disneyland).
+ Other Unilocalers attend (Ruth B. and David P. had a mini-​UYE).
I highly recommend checking out this annual fundraiser next year. It’s very interesting and cool.
