Now that they’ve started recovering from last year’s fire next door, this place is really starting to roll again with more classes and more teachers. I especially recommend Patti Martin and Jeremy Jenks’ Iyengar classes. These teachers are great for both beginners and people with more experience, they’re never too crowded, and they focus on meeting you at your level, not pushing you into something dangerous just to get the pose completed. It’s a little hot even on cool days, so wear something cool or at least layer, just like being in San Francisco or San Bruno. I always feel very comfortable and supported here.

I took my very first yoga class. It was great. we had around ten students in the class, so it was not crowed at all, and instructor paid attention to student’s different needs.

I had a chance to checkout this place a few times, and enjoyed the instruction. The only complaint I have is that I wish they had more classes, specifically before 9am, after 5pm, and at around lunch time.

The Omine Yoga studio is like the hidden gem of San Bruno. Its a very clean, respectful, and beautifully lit space. Which made for a refreshing yoga experience for me. For example; shoes come off at the door, in the studio’s nice windows look out to the horizon, and the instructors are certified and dedicated. I look forward to future sessions there.

Omine yoga studio isn’t like any other yoga I’ve ever done. They focus on making sure each pose is done correctly using props and blankets. I love how«open» I feel whenever I come here. The chest, shoulder and back feels amazing. Once I was so open that I got lightheaded from being able to breathe so much easier. Hahah strange right? Anyways, I’ve only been here on Saturdays at 10:45 am so I can’t say much about other teachers. But I enjoy the class and I don’t have to bring anything but myself since they provide all the materials and props in the closet. The first time I came here it was a bit hard to find but you walk up the stairs. Make sure you take off your shoes before you enter the doors. Sign in on the right, watch people do karate, but you go to the right and up 2 steps into the yoga studio. The teacher will have how she wants you to set up your area and the props you’ll need. Go into the closet and set up your yoga area like the teacher did. Love it. I always feel amazing afterwards :)

Excellent! I found this place through groupon and I just love it! The Iyengar yoga classes are extremely good. I go for Patty’s classes and she is a wonderful instructor with loads of yoga knowledge. She has answers to all the questions, remedies for all aches and discomforts during the yoga sessions, and an ever smiling face. Loraine’s agelss yoga classes are nice. They are a good way of relaxing yourself after a hard long week. The only problem is that this class is generally very crowded since it is in the evening. So arrive early if you would like to have props of your choice and a comfortable corner in the room. There is a good collection of props — mats, blankets, bolsters, belts, sand bags, etc. The studio is huge with two halls for yoga practice. The restrooms are clean and well-supplied. There is a water fountain too. The owner Susan lives in the same building. So she is always available for any questions or requests. She is very cooperative and caring and always tries to make people comfortable. There is ample parking, and Susan makes sure that you get a perfect spot to park. Approach is easy as the building is right on El Camino. The neighbourhood is safe. The studio is a 5 minute walk from the San Bruno Caltrain station too. Just retaining one star for occasional cleanliness bumps. I once developed a sore throat after one of the ageless yoga sessions. It was probably lack of sanitizing or the side effect of a packed class. Also, some cubbies will make the place really convenient for us to keep jackets and other stuff organized.

I decided earlier this year that I would revive my never very steady Yoga practice. I had really only been to a handful of classes over the years, in many different locations, so it is a bit of a stretch to say that I ever had a «practice.» But I did find I liked Iyengar the best for it’s precision and focus on total alignment. So when I went looking for a Yoga studio in my new neighborhood in San Bruno, I was delighted to find Omine Yoga, which teaches in the Iyengar style. Nestled on the top floor of a building on El Camino, the Yoga studio shares space with Omine Dojo, although they don’t appear to have classes at the same time — at least any of the times I have been there anyway. The woman who runs the studio, Susan, is sweet, and knowledgeable and a warm, welcoming face when you first arrive. I take the Sunday morning class and have had two different instructors, both of whom I really liked. They clearly know their yoga and are great at helping modify poses to support the limitations of the individual. The regular Sunday instructor, whose name I inconveniently can’t remember right now, is totally awesome! She brings some great cheer and humor to her teaching. Although it is a beginner class on Sundays, I plan to stay in it strictly to remain her student. One of my classmates and I were talking after class one day and he said, «I like this studio because I can tell these folks genuinely care about us» and I can’t agree more. If you are looking for a great place to practice your Yoga, go to Omine.

I’ve been a regular student at Omine Yoga since 2009 and am a big fan both of the place and of the Iyengar style of yoga that Omine’s instructors so conscientiously teach. I had attended Iyengar yoga classes back in the early 1990s but had not pursued yoga for years. A friend took me to a class at Omine and I knew right away I’d found the right place and time to get back into practicing. I value the place for a lot of reasons: The teachers I’ve learned from are experienced Iyengar teachers, so they put a lot of emphasis(of course) on explaining the right way to do poses to get the most benefit out of them and to practice w/o injuring oneself. Teachers typically ask at the outset of class whether any of the students have physical issues that day(or chronically) that the teacher should know about. The owners, Susan and Alex, are truly nice, caring people. The studio is light and clean. My fellow students are the type of people who create a friendly, welcoming, supportive atmosphere, not one where people are silently competing w/each other to see who’s got the best triangle pose. Obviously, there are a lot of different styles of yoga out there, and Iyengar may not be right for everyone. But for those who value good instruction, precision and mindfulness, and want to really gain awareness of their bodies, this is a great place to practice yoga. I love it and consider it an utterly necessary part of my life now.

Their classes range from beginners to experts. I am a beginner and found their classes to be excellent. Gives my body a total workout. If you are an expert — go to the expert class. A beginner, go to the beginning class. Obvious?
