My fault for not reading the other reviews and seeing that that have a track record of posting false opening times and not being there when they say they will.
I don’t have a car, so I walked over here. To my surprise after all the great reviews, come to see that they are closed. Their hours are posted outside for everyone to see and it indicates that it should be open. I called and no response. No updated voicemail system telling you that they should be closed. No other number to call to ask if they will be open at all today.
Also, someone else came to check if it was opened. The sad look on her face. Saw her make a phone call too, just like I did.
If you’re going to be closed, please update your voicemail. Or at least have another number to call to tell you why it’s closed.

Ruchi is the best. She knows what she is doing. You can clearly explain what you want and trust her. It didn’t pain at all for me. I have had bad experiences with ppl making the eyebrows thin but with Ruchi… she made it all perfect and simple.
She made it more easy on me with her talking. She has a friendly and cheerful attitude which feels welcoming. :)
I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

$ 10 for eyebrows is a normal price. I don’t know the name of the lady I had but she was great! The thread didn’t break at all and she took time to tweeze any ingrown hairs and trim the hairs. She even massaged my eyebrows and temple a bit with aloe afterwards.
I don’t know if the chairs recline but basically you sit semi leaned back and the headrest goes back a bit. It’s not the most comfortable but I was only in the seat for about 5 – 7 minutes.

I have fairly thick eyebrows and am quite particular about how I want them done. While I have been to a few people in the past, while travelling or living elsewhere, I now drive to this place just to see Ruchi.
She listens to what you want, offers advice and combines her threading skills with in-​depth knowledge and experience of facial features, arches, and the importance of well-​defined brows.
Now that I have a rapport with her, I simply adore her, she is super friendly and patient. I definitely recommend this place for threading its painless, Ruchi really knows her stuff, and is simply amazing at her work. Ohh and this salon has great packages… all worth the price.

Ruchi is absolutely amazing ! Not only is she a sweet and gentle lady but also an absolute perfectionist. My brows have never looked better. :)

Last time I got an eyebrow threading I cried a little since it hurts so bad. However, the results were always good and the ladies that work here are friendly.
$ 10 for eyebrow threading, super affordable.

Came here because I bought their living social deal and left satisfied! After reading the reviews, I called in before I went there and since they were open, I went and walked in with no waiting since there was no one else there. The lady that helped me was super nice and sweet and I was in and out within like 15 minutes! I would definitely come back to this place for eyebrow threading.

Eyebrow threading $ 10
So far I have only seen Rushi (Ruchi?) because I coincidentally go on the days she is working. She is a very gentle and sweet lady who makes you feel comfortable getting your eye brows threaded because believe me, for some of us it can be a tiny painful.
One time I went to another threading place in Fremont and they are not nice about it because I always forget where to place my fingers and how/​when I need to stretch my skin out so they act annoyed or impatient. But Rushi is very nice about it and always helps me place it accordingly, even though I should know by now haha.
My eyebrows are really stupid and are very opposite of each other on how they grow. So she tries her best to make them as even as possible. But remember, EYE BROWS ARE NOT TWIN SISTERS, THEY ARE FRATERNAL TWIN SISTERS.
But I swear mine are like cousins twice removed, but she makes them work!
I have went about 3 or 4 times now and the last time my skin was weirdly sensitive so she could kinda tell I was at unease at the end so as usual, she offered me aloe and I was just expecting her to gently rub it on as usual. Plot twist, she did this quick 1 minute rub on my brow bones and temples and it felt so amazing, I really appreciated that.
They also have a stamp card reward here which I think is pretty cool. Overall this place is great because of their outstanding work and considerable customer service

Out of all of the San Bruno area threading places, this one is by far the best! The ladies that work here are friendly and are good at what they do. It’s also reasonably priced!

Very painful. I get my threading done pretty often from South Bay. This time I thought I will try something closer home. But it was so painful. She cut my skin at multiple places on my eyelid. I wasn’t happy with her skills with shaping it or the finesse either. The one thing most important about threading is to try make it as painless as possible but she did just the opposite of that.

****BEWARE****
Wanted to drop in for an appointment and realized they weren’t even open at 11AM though they hours on the door state they open at 10:30AM… There was another girl waiting out there since 10:30am. What a bummer… The mailman saw us and told us they usually don’t even open until 12PM, sometimes 1PM. –1 because that’s no way to run a business. So if you’re planning to come by, just call in to make sure someone is there!!!

I still have to say M&M Threading Salon rocks the house. I still do not go over to the Tanforan or San Bruno plaza spots because they both have closed early and seem like they don’t want to even help you. The gals here are really great at what they do and are sweet as pie. I keep coming back, keep up the great work!

They’re pretty quick and do a good job. The woman that did mine listened when I asked for clean up only since I don’t like my eyebrows too thin or shaped. Although after checking it I had to ask her to take in more in a couple spots. I did ask about the 20% off discount for checking in on Unilocal but she said it was for new customers only? It didn’t say that on the offer though…

It has been over a year since I threaded my eyebrows so I decided to go on my birthday since it was long overdue. The eyebrow threading was $ 8 with the 20% off Unilocal check-​in offer. My eyebrows look so much cleaner and even than they did before and I am a very happy customer! I found my replacement for Aisha in Houston.

Been coming here since the beginning of the year. Nothing special, but they get the job done! You gotta tell them how you like your eyebrows though if you want them shaped, otherwise they will simply clean it.
I don’t have any favorites, I’ve gotten my brows done by all the lovely employees and they were all very pleasant.
They don’t up-​sell or anything since they don’t have products. And what I love the most is that they only do what you came and ask them to get done.
Also, since they’re pretty new and not that many people know about them, I almost never had to wait at all. Always call ahead and see if they can take you at a certain time, even a few mins before you show up.
They also have unlimited memberships, I think it’s worth it, so go get it!

Sandy did an excellent job on my eyebrows! This is my second time coming here and the first time was ok. This time, I used a Groupon and Sandy even put aloe on my eyebrows after the threading.

I get threaded all the time and usually love the quick experience, but sadly M&M Thread Salon has made me doubt the ease of threading.
My usual East Bay lady was out of town, so I figured I’d try a new place nearby. Ouch, ouch, ouch! This was probably the most painful experience I’ve had apart from my first ever thread. Not only painful as in ‘ouch’, but the woman was painfully slow — it took 20 whole minutes for her to thread two eyebrows! Yikes. Needless to say, I won’t be back…

I came here because I needed my eyebrows done and hate getting it done in Utah cause the eyebrow stylist never listen to you there.
When I came that day, there was only one worker and I don’t know if this is the normal or not. She had a person in the chair and another waiting plus myself which wasn’t a big deal since I wasn’t in a rush or anything.
I don’t know the stylist name that did my eyebrows, but she was super friendly and easy to talk to. She did exactly what I wanted and didn’t over thread (which I hate). Nor did she create her own shape which has happened at some places I went to.
Another bonus: 20% off from the Unilocal deal, so my eyebrows only cost $ 8 not including tip.

I had a Groupon for lip and brow threading and I was waaaaay overdue.
THE GOOD:
— Rina did an excellent job with my brows. She started very conservative, checked with me often for my approval, and offered her professional opinion.
— It didn’t hurt! The last threading place I went to was a moderate form of torture and M&M’s pain-​free technique is AMAZING. No wincing, no watery eyes. Just lovely sculpted brows.
— You can’t beat the price. Regular price for lip and brow is $ 16 and the have a punch card program that offers one free wax after 10 visits.
THE BAD (minus 1 star):
— I showed up 30 minutes after their opening time and the place was closed. Pretty annoying after I’d driven 20 minutes to get there. The manager at their main office apologized, offered a valid explanation, and helped me make an appointment for later that day.
— The facility is not super clean. There were tons of used threads lying on the floor. I just think that a quick sweep after each client shouldn’t be too difficult.
Nevertheless, I think I’ve found my new threading spot! Thanks, Rina!

So happy with this place. Not only did I get a great deal through livingsocial ($ 4 for eyebrows), but it was a great service. I had been dying to get my eyebrows done. I normally get them done at Benefit Brow Bar at Macy’s, but I used to thread them & they came out just as nice. I decided to try this place in San Bruno because they just opened less than 2 months ago.
I was welcomed by a friendly Indian lady & she had me sit in one of the comfortable leather chairs. There was no one there so I was able to get my eyebrows threaded right away. It wasn’t as painful as I remembered– she was really gentle. She removed the stray hairs and cleaned them up just in time before the holidays =). Normally, it costs $ 10 for eyebrows & $ 17 for brow & lip. Until May 2014, they have a coupon for 15% off if you decide not to buy the living social or groupon deal, but I would highly recommend either because the threaders are experienced & friendly.
