The empty place at 7.30 should have been a sign that something must have changed since those great reviews from 20132014. Of the several Burmese dishes only the steamed eggplant with fried shallots was edible. Hence the one star. Everything else was a disaster to the point that I can not go on and list them. But here is one. A tea leaf salad consisting of a spoonful of tea leaf, roasted peanuts, fried garlic and lime juice served on a 8 inch plate. Hopefully TripAdvisor will update its rating soon.

My go-to place for when I want some Chinese/Burmese comfort food! Some of my favorites are: the Westlake beef soup which is perfect for the cold weather, the spicy eggplant with garlic sauce is savory and flavorful, the spicy string beans are tender with a snap to them. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve ordered so far. Deliciously large portioned food at a nice price!

Message to all restaurants: When you have a section labeled«Vegetables» and no section or icon for«Vegetarian» it is important to state when meat or fish(including broth) is part of the recipe! We are a group of four. Three of us eat meat, one(me) does not. We ordered for delivery through the Unilocal app(Eat 24?). I ordered the eggplant dish from the Vegetables section of the menu. The ingredients listed are vegetables and hot and sour sauce. And yet the dish contains fish. Lots of it. So three people had dinner and one did not. Because the ingredients for this dish were not correctly listed in the menu, I no longer trust the ingredient listing for any of the items on the menu and there will be no future orders from our group.

If there is a 3.5, I would rate that. Burmese Chinese food is authentic. If you are looking for good quality of food, this is the right place. The Burmese lamb is one of the distinctive one we have here as they were prepared so well that you can’t taste or smell any gameness of lamb. Definitely will come back.

The food there has a good deal the Chinese food is tasty. Their Burmese curry dishes are special and delicious. They are different from Thai and Indian curry. I wouldn’t recommend the curry noodle soup though. Most of the time if you go to an Asian restaurant, just stick to Chinese dishes. Most of the time, an Asianized-Chinese food taste decent.

Ordered delivery for dinner on a Sunday night around 8 and it came in about 35 minutes. We had the fried prawns appetizer, lemon chicken and combination skewers. It was all very good, the lemon chicken was served with sauce on the side which I really appreciated. The prawns were good and crispy and the skewers were good too. I didn’t like the special sauce they came with, it was kind of bland and chilled — the BBQ was enough. Nice generous portions too, will order from here again.

It is just around 7 bucks for lunch specials. Their curry fish and curry beef are really good! It also comes with rice.

I was dying to try the Burmese dishes here, and finally did! I had coconut rice, samusas, rangoon chicken and the ginger salad. I would get the coconut rice and ginger salad again. The coconut rice was really coconutty without being too sweet. Nice. The ginger salad was a really small portion, and initially I was sad, but then realized it didnt need to be a large portion as the flavors were all strong. I decided that it’s like an excellent condiment. Just dont get it all by itself… Skip the samusas. They had good flavor but were greasy and wrapped in eggroll skins. The chicken rangoon was less bbqed than I expected and kind of rubbery with a sweet sauce. I wouldnt order that again either. The waitstaff was super nice and the bill was really reasonable. Ill be back.

Ok, the décor screams of something you might see in a Seinfeld episode, but the food last night was absolutely terrific and at such a bargain that I have to give it the big thumbs up. For me, it is always about the food first and then service and then décor/location/pricing last. For some reason, I had an urge last night for some simple yet good chinese food. We have been here over the years and while it has always been decent last night’s overall meal was perfect that I wanted to sing its praises so that quite frankly more people would hopefully come here. Last night, the place was fairly empty and it simply should not be the case. This is dang good chinese food at a bargain people!!! Here goes my bold statement. The string beans dish we had last night point blank beats the same popular dish offered at über popular San Tung in SF’s inner Sunset. Yes, that place with the chicken wings. Oh, the babe and I totally loved it and if you know my babe she don’t lie. She tells you like it is, every time. We almost considered ordering another to go. The beans were perfectly crisp, not soggy like sometimes San Tung’s has been for us. Also, the shrimp paste was quite good and the dish was slightly spicy which we both also loved. We will come back for the string beans alone. Period. Ah, but what else did we have that were excellent? The lettuce wrap dish was also terrific. The filling was a healthy order, that when we ran out of the lettuce cups, they were willing to provide us with more. Awesome! We started off the meal with my fav yet simple soup, the West Lake Beef soup, and it was quite good too. The order was enough to provide us both with 2 – 3 bowls easily. It was quite flavorful and had a lot of stuff in there. Sometimes, we find places that make this soap very plain or void of much stock in the soup. Not here. Plenty of egg whites, mushrooms and beef of course. Yummy! Plenty of street parking on the main commercial drag or you might have some luck around back in the lot or side streets. All in all, an excellent Chinese restaurant that while may be hard on the eyes will more than make up for it where it counts, your tummy and pocket book! Enjoy! Innya Lake is in da house, yo!!!

We came here for dinner a few days ago. I forgot to check in, because, hey! I was hungry. And with family. The waitress was really nice. We had tea, but she didn’t give us a refill? That was okay, we had water. We ordered an array of dishes, which was pretty good. Chow fun with beef, that was really good. Also we got a type of noodles that had curry, and it wasn’t as flavorful, but still, good. The sweet and sour pork tasted like tomatoes. We ordered chicken and it was good. Juicy and meaty with the great crispy skin. No shrimp chips though. :(Also ordered some eggplant and other dishes. They were fine. The only downside was that the workers were talking really loudly, and the food wasn’t that great. Overall, I’d come again. I wouldn’t be too sure to recommend it, but it was okay.

Came here on the boyfriend’s coworker’s recommendation having«good Chinese food.» Clearly his mind and taste buds needs to be expanded. I’ve never had Burmese food, but I hope that this will not the last time I’ll experience it. WHATWEHAD: –Peking Duck: Can you call it Peking duck without fresh steamed baos, sliced green onion, and hoison sauce? They do here. They do give a small dish of plum sauce though. Also it was the OLDEST and SCRAWNIEST duck I’ve ever had. It just tasted old. –BBQ Pork Chow Mein: Typical greasy chow mein. –Pan Fried String Beans: As per Unilocal recommendation I ordered these. I have mixed feelings. They were tasty, but had this overly fishy taste. Don’t think I’ll be back.

I’ve always saw this restaurant while growing up in San Bruno but never tried until now. I now understand why this place has such low reviews Ordered: — ginger salad: they ran out of tea leaf salad. It was overpowered with ginger and the portion size was puny compared to the photo on the menu — combo satay: the pork and chicken were tasty but the beef was so dry and cold. Skip — sizzling oysters: disgusting. Service: Lady was your typical Asian server(lack of customer service) but the man there was polite and attentive. Never coming here again.

Right now they are doing this incredible crackling oyster special(black pepper or garlic… go with garlic) that’s unbelievable. best oyster dish I’ve had in a while.(5 stars) The traditional ginger salad and tea leaf salads are both very good(I like the ginger better). the Mango salad is delicious as well.(4 stars) The soups are very different from what you are used(the coconut soup sounds like Tom Kha Gai from Thai restaurants but is much creamier and more savory than sweet)(the hot and sour is more like what you are accustomed to, as is the wonton soup).(3 stars) Ambiance and interior, nothing special, but authentic in the way only a local small Chinese/Burmese restaurant can be.(3 stars) Great for groups, plenty of room, and abundant free 2-hour parking.(there are not enough stars in the world to account for free parking in commercial areas these days)

I love this place and so do my S.B. neighbors. However the place is filthy meaning table cloths are dirty the clothing of staff is dirty so how hygienically sanitary is this place? Go look and see for yourself. What a shame! If uncleanliness does not bother you the shrimp fried rice is the bomb… Make sure they don’t give you broken off pieces of shrimp though. I was told you may be harassed by female waitress for larger tips but I did not experience that.

AVOIDTHISRESTAURANT! Listen up! We parked in the back, walked in through the back, and I witnessed an old man smoking a cigarette by the back prep table, INTHEKITCHEN! We sat down. I told my fiancé… all grossed out. We got up to leave and walked out the back, she took a peek also and he was by the stove top still smoking a cigarette. GROSS! That’s all you need to know!

I am a Kung Pao Tofu fanatic… and I am on my search for a great Kung Pao tofu like the one I used to have at a Schezwan Palace back in Phoenix. For some reason, even though it was staring right in my face, I went with the waiter’s suggestion of Mongolian Tofu and dry fried string beans! The food was really tasty and I am glad that the waiter suggested it. It was closing time and the owner came to us couple of time to our tan;e and told us that we don’t have to hurry… what he didn’t know was that we were eating as fast as we can to get the bigger share.

My family and I are repeat customers here! They have your Chinese food staples and Burmese dishes. We come for the Burmese-Style Pan-Fried String Beans! The blend of spices and the sauce/paste they use is outstanding. Our other picks include their fried rice, and Innya Lake beef/pork/chicken or even prawns! They also throw in a bowl of soup on the house for each patron before your order arrives(it’s usually either hot&sour or egg drop corn soup) and of course, fortune cookies with your bill. Tip: there’s hassle-free parking in the lot behind the restaurant!
