Sierra Bicycle Works

This shop is filled with a great selection of bicycles and parts needed for every kind pf bike. This place is small and doesn’t appear as flashy as some bike shops I’ve been to but the is the place I will go to from now on to have my bike serviced.
The staff here is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. They’re honest and up front on their quotes and of there is ever any problem with their service, they’ll fix it promptly.

I could write a book about everything this shop does right. I’ve rarely been to any shop that does things so well and is also affordable. There is a reason these guys have been in business for so long. You will not be let down coming here. Read the detailed reviews here. Expect a lot of check-​ins from me over years. Purchased a bike here many moons ago they still honor my lifetime tune up warranty. Can’t get any better than that!

This is the «every man’s bike shop»! The owner is honest & if he doesn’t know an answer (which is rare) he’ll be sure to find it for you. After talking with him on a recent visit, it turns out that this is his 30^th year in business. How’s that for amazing in this day & age!!!
I would totally recommend this shop when you’re in the need for anything bicycle related. Oh, and I overheard him talking to another customer — explaining that if there was something specific they wanted, he would order it for them, if he couldn’t find it in his inventory.

Came in here needing my brakes replaces and my dérailleur adjusted and was quoted for $ 30. Came back about 2 hours later and was charged $ 20 because the guy found that I only needed brake pads and so he only charged me for those. If that doesn’t explode off your screen as a reason why you should come here for any of your bicycle needs then you can go fuck yourself.
Also, they got some good bikes and parts. The guy there is pretty knowledgeable and will give you a straight answer as to whats the best thing to do with your bike.

I’m an annoying shopper. There I said it! I am especially a pain when I start shopping for more expensive items that I will keep for a long time. My bike was stolen a few weeks ago and so I had to replace it. Since my old bike was out of date in terms of technology, I wanted to treat myself to the best of the best (or at least the best of the best for a non-​professional, non-​competitive female leisure city bike rider)…but there are so many options and details to worry about: types of brakes, chain cover, kickstand, wheel diameter, frame, shifters… oh my!
Needless to say, after a week on Google, I came in knowing what many of these features did however I still did not know how to find the best bike for me. The sales team was patient with me as I meticulously went over every feature on my list and whether I needed it or not for my city riding (although I’m sure they were thinking to themselves «dude, this lady should switch to decaf!»). To make things fun, they even told me about features I hadn’t read about! Some things like high-​tech brakes are costly and probably not necessary for my bike use (I never bike in the rain) and others like a chain protector are necessary for me because I wear skirts.
Of course I had to try a bunch of models, hemmed and hawed about what size was right for me (they can advise you but feeling is the most important deciding factor and they can’t tell you how you feel on a bike). I did not purchase my bike right away but waited another week (and looked at other shops). I came back to Sierra Bikes because it was the best shop I found and seemed to offer the best service both before and after purchase.
I am very happy with my purchase and after spending so much time choosing my bike both with the salespeople and on my own, I do not have buyer’s remorse. I was glad they didn’t pressure me. I made an informed decision and feel I got the best product for my needs. They also suggested the best kind of anti-​theft devices to prevent it from being stolen in the future (FYI removing the seat when you leave your bike is IMO the best anti-​theft option!).
I also was glad to know that if something breaks, I can just come back here and they are equipped to do all kinds reparations.
In retrospect, my purchase was probably not that complicated but I could tell from the way they took care of me that this is a good place for serious bikers as well.

Friendly and quick. Great service on my wheel and the price was right.

This shop is great. The people here are honest. They don’t try to over sell you things you don’t need. I took in 3 bikes to have the inner tubs replaced. I wasn’t sure if all of the tires needed replacement so I asked if they could pump them up to see which ones were in need. As it turns out, only 1 tire on each bike needed a new inner tube. They could have easily charged me for 6 and I would have been none the wiser.

This is a great bike shop they treat you right and don’t mind answering all my stupid questions. Good prices, good service GOOD BIKE SHOP!
