I had the phở here and it’s pretty good for the price, lots of fresh herbs. Also the noodle to meat ratio is good. I love phở mai for their rice dishes but they stuff their phở with noodles. Also no msg here which is pretty much legit. Not the best phở, I’ve ever had but will work when I need a legit cheap fix.

Ordered food to go, the quality has gone downhill in taste also the last time I did a phone order and when I was overcharged by around $ 8 even after I kept asking for them to check the price 3 times. I paid and an hour later they called me to say they overcharged me and to come get my change(which I didn’t go get as it was late at night), unfortunately I won’t be back.

My bf and I were in the mood for phở and headed to noodle 27 when we saw this place on the way and decided to stop and try the phở here instead. OMG Im so glad we did!!! The phở was absolutely delicious, the service was great, the girl was sweet and on top of it! The spring rolls and sauce were delicious! This is where I’ll be getting my phở fix from now on!

My husband and I met a couple of VN veterans and one of their wives for a lunch get together. We all ordered Phở from the sweet, happy waitress who helped me choose the right one for me. As veterans often do, we talked for 3.5 hours while the waitress continued to work around us, even bringing us each a complimentary chicken egg roll! Such a great find of a place!

Love this place. It’s a bit of a drive for me but they don’t use msg and their thai tea is made from fresh tea. The rare beef phở and pork egg rolls are on point.

I had a great experience. The food was decent and the service was fast. The phở was a little bland once i added all my stuff but it was good enough to eat. We also ordered the chicken wings… they were bomb! Crispy, flavorful and just delicious. Im not sure if i would come back for the phở but will definitely come back and try there other item:)

The food was good. I ordered the tofu yellow curry and side of egg rolls with tai tea. I thought it was pricy for the portions. Also, I got a really bad headache and I don’t know if it was the tea or the curry. I think it was the curry, but may be the tofu was too heavy for me that day.(had just finished my four day detox). The service was good too. Most likely I will go back and try the egg plant and will Unilocal my experience… :)

Solid place for phở. The phở broth here seemed a little cleaner compared to the other phở places in the area, which I prefer. The serving size is fairly large and cheap for its size(less than 7 dollars for phở). My favorite thing at Phở 72, however, was the banh mi. My friend and I split a chicken banh mi, and I have to say it is one of the better banh mi I have ever had. The chicken was seasoned well and flavorful and the bread is softer than what I have previously experienced with other banh mi, so I was able to finish eating it without tearing up the roof of my mouth. The price tag(3 dollars) is just another reason to love the banh mi here.

I came in here for the first time the other day, as my normal Phở spot down the street was completely packed. This place was packed as well(such a tiny restaurant), but there were a few tables left. My Son and I sat down, and after a while, we got to order drinks. I got the Jasmine Tea, my Son got the Green Tea. Since their were only two of us at our table, some patrons asked us if they could use our chairs that we weren’t using. Sure thing Dude, I see how packed it is in here. Our drinks came out eventually, with apologies because it took a while. The Lady even bowed to us while apologizing. Cant get more sincere than that I suppose. Told her it was no big deal, and we ordered our food. #1 Big bowl of Phở for me, #21 Seafood soup for my Son, and Fried Chicken Wings. Then we waited. Because so many people were stuffed into this place, the staff seemed to be overwhelmed. I might have something negative to say about it they were casually waiting tables and taking smoke breaks out back and all. But these Ladies working here were HUSTLING! Back-and-forth from the kitchen to the front, I’m sure the cooks were back there crankin’ ‘em out too. No complaints. Recognition of circumstance. So when our food DID come out, we were hungry and had been gnawing on bean sprouts for quite some time. My #1 Phở came out, and my Son,…was also served #1 Phở. I guess the girl didn’t hear the«twenty» part of #21. By now we were so hungry, we decided to leave it alone and he ate what was given to him. THEN, our appetizers came out. Le Sigh. The #1 Phở was standard. There was hardly any beef in it. NO tripe, flank, or tendon. Mostly just bland broth and noodles. And a beef ball. I have never had to put salt and pepper in my Phở before. If I ever come back here, it wont be for the Phở. Too many other places with much more flavor to choose from. My Son felt the same way as I did. The Fried Chicken was really really good! Fried perfectly, great texture, and taste. These are great by themselves, but they are served with a type of sweet and spicy chili dipping sauce that turn these into instant hot-wings. SOGOOD! I would come back just for these! The Teas that we had were very good. The Jasmine tea was refreshing and the Green Tea was sweet and delicious. I don’t know if they are refillable beverages, because they never got refilled; and they asked if we would like some water when they saw our empty cups. Bummer. The staff was very nice, I understand that they were slammed, and they still maintained to get stuff done politely. The bathrooms were clean, as was the rest of the restaurant.

Ok, my boyfriend and I decided to give this place a try because we have seen so many positive reviews on here. Now before I go on, my boyfriend call himself a «Phở Critic».He like to taste the broth first before he add any hoisen or sriracha into his bowl of phở. We ordered the appetizer of chicken wings and spring rolls and they were decent, my thai tea were decent as well then came our Phở. Wow!I dont know where to start, it was so bland, we kept adding soy sauce to try to get some flavor, but it kept getting more bland and our water kept getting darker. We dont like to waste food so we did our best to finish it. Prior to our phở experienced, my boyfriend ordered fried rice to go. The rice was so sticky and soggy(like sticky rice) then when u pick up the rice strains of white sticky glue looking cheese type of strain was like attached to the rice. I know this resturant is new, but if I didnt know any better I think an amateur open this place. The only thing that was good was their fresh squeeze lemonade.

The place is off foot trafic, but areal joy when you get there. The Phở are really fresh and so delicious. The Vietnamese grill sandwiches are outstanding. The restaurant table settings are like a fast food place, but on the table are more condiments to add for your tastes. Very clean, and the staff are always polite and courteous and very friendly. My wife and I WILL be coming back and we recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a great tasting dinner or lunch, with fresh ingredients.

I came here with my friend to try out this new place. It’s kind of hidden, but aren’t precious gems always hidden? The food and desserts are AMAZING! The phở broth is absolutely flavorful. They also serve wonderful noodle soup such as Bun Rieu, that is hard to find around here. Usually I have to go to Santa Ana to eat it, but it’s merely wonderful that they serve it here, so close to home! And then there’s the appetizers, the egg rolls and spring rolls were so fresh and delicious. The service here is magnificent. One aspect that differentiates them from other Asian restaurants is that, not only do they speak perfect English, they are super friendly, sweet and helpful. Very attentive, you just feel so welcomed here. So glad we found this place, we’re definitely coming back!

This place is well lit and super clean(although they still need to touch up the paint in areas). Each table is neatly organized with a few different sauces to spice or sweeten up or add some saltiness to your food. I ordered the Chicken Phở(Phở Ga) for lunch. The broth was nice and hot and the chicken in the broth was nice, big chunks of chicken breast. They provide you with basil, lime, bean sprouts and jalapeño to customize your phở. For sauces, I always add the Sriracha and sweet bean sauce(creates a sweet but spicy broth). I really enjoyed the Phở. I also ordered an order of two spring rolls which come with pork and shrimp inside. The peanut sauce they provide was excellent and went well with the herbs inside the rolls. Currently, you are provided with a free cup of hot or iced green tea with your meal. I went with the iced green tea, which I thought was pretty good. It had a slight sweetness and definite earthiness to it; overall, it was refreshing. I’ll definitely be back to try more things off the menu. I’m also going to tell my good friend that we she needs to try this Phở place out(instead of our usual spot). If everything else I try is as good as the phở and spring rolls, you can expect a fifth star being added to this review.

What?! Another Vietnamese/Phở joint along Waterman Ave? My thoughts exactly when I saw this place. There was a «coming soon» sign for the longest time and now it is finally open. So the sign out front said ‘Grand Opening’ and inside they said they are giving out free egg rolls with purchase. So we are off to a good start. I came with a friend and the hostess sat us down pretty quickly. The space is smaller than the other places nearby, but it basically looks like your typical phở joint. The prices are a little cheaper than other places, but not too much. I ordered the phở with flank and brisket and my friend ordered the combination fried rice. Not too many people pay attention to this, but the side veggies that accompany the soup is important to check. The basil and bean sprout looked very fresh. Sometimes you get the nasty and wilted stuff, but this place(so far) has the good stuff. The food took a little longer than I wanted, but since they are new I am hoping they will improve on that. There were a few other tables sitted as well. Anyway, back to the soup. It came out nice and hot and the broth was quite delicious. The meat was plentiful, which is awesome, because I like to have a piece in every spoonful with my noodle and soup. I add the basil, bean sprout, jalepenos, and lime juice. I don’t like to taint the soup with sauce, so I dip the meat in hoisin and sirracha on the side. I had a bite of my friend’s fried rice and it was pretty good. It had beef, chicken, shrimp and had that fresh-off-the-wok taste. All in all, it was a good visit and I would recommend this place to friends and family. I will likely come back and try some of the other dishes. By the way, the service here is better than most other Vietnamese places. They were actually responsive and got the drinks out quickly, which is rare. They also take credit cards.
