It’s an ok place for dinner it’s more for the older set and by older I mean over 60. The décor looks like something from the 60s but it’s not retro it’s really that old. The food is bland but like I said it’s perfect for the older set. Don’t go if you are in your 30s or younger. But it’s good place to take your grandparents

We have been going to Hannah’s for many years, and have always been more than satisfied with the food and the service. The food is delicious, and seems like homemade comfort food away from home. The soups are the best, better than at any other restaurant we’ve been to. The dessert choices are amazing. You have a choice of cakes, pies, even bread pudding, and Kay makes them all herself. They’re all wonderful. The owners care about good food and great service. San Bernardino is blessed to have a place like this available to us, a much better(and local) option than any of the chains.

Hannah’s Restaurant is a good option for american-style food in this area. The Del Rosa area has gradually lost most of these restaurants over the years, yet Hannah’s is one of the few holdouts that remain. The main benefits of Hannahs are the fresh baked bread and desserts, salad bar, and the good selection of traditional American style dishes at reasonable prices. I had the Porterhouse steak special which is served topped with sauteed onions and mushrooms. I chose vegetables and baked potato as the sides. The steak was a good size and grilled, however I have to admit that the meat was rather tough even when cooked to medium rare. It seemed to be equivalent to USDA select grade. However, I’m not downgrading my rating of the restaurant very much, because the value was still good for the price, considering the cost of beef. A higher grade of beef would probably require a significantly higher price than would be acceptable to the value-conscious customers in this area. The same size cut of steak costs much more at Black Angus, Sizzler, or other steakhouses. Perhaps the prime rib would be a better choice next time, so I’ll reserve judgment until I have a chance to try that in the future. The mushrooms and onions where nicely sauteed and seasoned. The vegetables were fresh and not overcooked. The baked potato was cooked properly, the toppings were fresh and well apportioned for its size. The salad bar was fresh, although I agree with the other reviewers about the single trip limitation and how the plate size is rather small, yet this is also seems reasonable considering the pricing, since many specials include it in the price and it’s only $ 2 to add to an entrée. The all-you-can-eat salad price is excessive as an add-on compared to competitors. It doesn’t make much sense for the all-you-can-eat salad option to be more than 3 times the cost of a single trip. My guests enjoyed their salmon burger and meatloaf special. The sugar-free fruit pie was enjoyable, and it’s difficult to find sugar-free baked goods at any other restaurant in the area. The servers were friendly, efficient, helpful, and quick to respond to requests. That’s the primary reason why I’m maintaining a good 4 star rating for now. One tough steak isn’t enough to detract too much from the overall good experience. Hannah’s isn’t a steakhouse, so I’ll give some of the other entrees a try in the future to see if a higher rating is deserved.

Born and raised in San Bernardino and I can’t believe I overlooked this place. I guess we just gravitate to the chain places who don’t care about your business. But at some point you have to realize that a place like Hannah’s is so rare nowadays and should be cherished. Reminded me of going to a restaurant in a small town. Kay is very sweet and I would come back just for her smile and kindness alone. Overall, great food and great service.

This was our first visit to Hannah’s. We were very impressed. We started out with home made bread that was very good. My husband had the Prime Rib with the salad bar and baked potatoes. The Prime Rib was tender and juicy and big! The only negative was he said the house radish sauce could have been a bit stronger for his taste. I had the apricot chicken. Wow, the chicken breast was tender and juicy with a really good apricot glaze. I really liked it. I also had the salad bar and baked potatoe. Both were good. When we were offered dessert, which I usually turn down, I had to order the Rhubarb pie, fresh made that day; and my husband had a chocolate cream pie all fancied up that he said was great. So, 2 dinners,(one of which was a prime rib) with salad, bread, veggies, and potatoes; 2 desserts and 2 ice teas was $ 50.00 including tax and tip. I call that a good deal.

I have lived in the area for years and finally stopped into Hannah’s for dinner with some friends of mine and had a great time! We wanted to get some good wine with all the courses of food, and their wine director Kyle was there to help us out. We took all of his recommendations and loved it! The food, the wine, and the service was top notch! Our waitress Tiffany was great and accomadating. We have been back multiple times since and will continue to return. What a great spot to have so close to home!

First time here. After a quick scouting of the inside and out, I suspected I should have worn my poodle skirt and bobby socks, except Beatles’ music was playing in the background. And then I discovered that everyone else was dressed like a Senior, so I managed to remain inconspicuous. That being said, I was a little worried that this would be yet another aging diner with boring, bland food. But boy was I wrong! Flavortown! How do they do it? Their nostalgic menu, like their interior, is a throwback to the gentler years, maybe 5 or 6 decades back. Not that they have been open that long, but they do have 20 something years under their belt. The owners and chef(not sure if they are one and the same) have a rare concept: «Make home style comfort food, make it well, and make it quite affordable, and let’s see if we can make a go of it!» They have specials that start at $ 5.95. My 3-piece fried chicken dinner special was around $ 8.95. Mr. B’s meatloaf dinner(senior portion) was $ 7.95. And the chicken and meatloaf were outstanding. I jumped at the chance to visit the long, well stocked salad bar, loved that we could pile up a small plate of goodies, then slather one of their homemade dressings over the top. Mine came with my meal, Mr. B added it on for $ 2. The caveat, one trip only. But still, it is hard to find a decent salad bar these days, and this one is one of them. My chicken was tender and moist. Yep, even the breast. And the crispy coating was extraordinary. Mr. B’s meatloaf was a very generous serving, flavored with beef and pork sausage and not mushy from too many bread crumbs in the mix, and came with two sides(a multitude of decent choices). The homemade gravy was definitely tasty. And then came the ultimate test of willpower. Should we indulge in dessert? Well of course we should, silly! But none of that sub standard frozen pie garbage and jello pudding. Our waitress proclaimed they had a long list of pies, cakes, nut breads, bread pudding, all made from scratch on premises(and might I add, by someone who really knows how to bake). We ended up leaving with a slice of excellent carrot cake, a slice of sugar-free strawberry rhubarb pie, and a container filled with homemade custard. All really good, and I am one tough customer to please. Too bad they don’t do breakfast. And they are closed for lunch on Saturdays, and all day on Sundays. Note: there is a sign visible from the outside that indicates there is a banquet room. Might want to look into that! Personally, I suspect the reason why they a lacking in # of reviews is because of the demographics. My generation and older, aka their average customer, are mostly computer illiterates. So how do we fix that? Unilocalers unite, bookmark it now, then flock to San Bernardino! Sorry…For the record, the chicken fried steak is not all that great, nor is the gravy. Stick with the fried chicken.

This is a great family run restaurant. The food is very good but the service is exceptional. I have to also mention the fabulous deserts. Save room for a piece of pie or cake.

Hannah’s is one amazing family ran restaurant. The food is very delicious. The menu has a wide variety from healthier options to comfort food. Majority of the food is homemade, you get homemade bread with your meals, there is a great salad bar, and the deserts are homemade. The restaurant might have décor that is a little aged, but once to bite into the food, you don’t really care about the décor. The family who runs this place is amazing. Always in good attitudes, makes you feel welcome, and funny. They have a good amount of loyal customers. I highly recommend anyone to stop at this place! My two favorite dishes is the Lemon Herb Chicken and the Chicken Fried Steak(One of the best in the area). I rarely give a 5 star to any place, but this place deserves it! This place also decorates for the different holidays, and has different holiday themed dishes.

If youre looking for a home cooked meal with a homey ambiance this is the place for you! The prices are reasonable and the staff is very courteous. The parking lot is very small and can be hard to maneuver on busy nights & weekends. A great little mom and pop hole in the wall! You should leave with a pie! Yum!

They had some broasted potatoes that were downright mouth-watering. Otherwise, just some decent comfort food. I thought it was a bit disappointing that their salad bar had such a paltry selection with a child-size plate with which you could visit the salad bar only once. The service has always been welcoming and extremely friendly. I could tell that they take pride in their faire. I wouldn’t go nuts over this place, but I also wouldn’t trash it. It’s ok, and you won’t leave mad.
