Disgrace to the corrections environment! Let me start by saying that I am writing this review as a former corrections employee, with experience in many corrections environments, including max security and county. That being said, I have the working knowledge of how a prison operates. I was driving from out of town(Different state on the east coast) and was looking for help, as my directions were unclear. The road I was looking for was Cajon(right up the street from this facility). As I stopped by the Sally port, and tried to get assistance, an overweight officer at the facility refused to even look at the directions that I was given, and spend a few seconds to help me. The Sally Port was not being utilized, and there was no active inmate transfer at this location. Instead of assisting me, The officer found it hilarious to ridicule me for being lost, and rudely joking about that I have no clue where I was!(Blatantly laughing). Meanwhile the road I was looking for was poorly marked, however, it was later discovered to be a main road running through that area, and it ran very close to the prison. As a formal corrections employee, I found his attitude extremely rude, and an insult to every officer and corrections employee that puts him/herself in harms way on a daily basis, dealing with rapists, mass murderers and just plain dangerous inmates. The professionals that I have worked with would never place themselves in such an unprofessional light, as we try to put a positive reflection on the correctional environment. We do our 8, and out the gate. Also, We never kept telephone gatekeepers, preventing the public from discussing an issue with a member of supervisory staff. Mr. Jamsen, Captain Dana Gould, your facility is a disgrace to all of the hard working Correctional teams across the U.S. –Dave

wrote previous coments about this place whole page appears to be deleted from my end. so i am making one for them. if san bernardino doesnt want to appear crooked they should not try to appear as if they dont exist. and its resourceful for people who wish to know details from the public who were in their and the sheriff should welcome feed back gives them a chance to correct their error and bring light to the issue of their location and what to expect.
