I heard lots of good things about this place so i had to try it. I always thought it was shut down since its only open till 3. I got the combo fried rice it seemed pricey but its worth it. They give u lots of meat and also lots of shrimp! I met owners daughter she was super nice. The place reminds me of going into someonea house its cute! I will be going back soon! Just wish they were open later!

I come here regularly and have always had great service, one of the things I like the most is the fact that they serve menudo everyday, for me the menudo and huevos rancheros you can’t go wrong.

The food was fresh, properly prepared and a great value for the price. We highly recommend it. Menudo on Sunday was equally as good.

I used to drive by this place all the time, thinking it was out-of-business, because it looks pretty rough on the outside, and the parking lot was empty. Come to find out that this is a breakfast-lunch spot, and that I happened to be driving by after they close, which is 3pm I think. Drove by on my day off, and to my surprise, there was a a barely visible«Open» sign lit in the window, and a few cars parked. My interest piqued, I parked my Jeep and strolled in. Walked in to a full restaurant with just enough room to give me a seat at a small table. I struggled to maintain eye contact with my blessed Waitress as she took my drink order and handed me a menu. I asked if the Menudo was served all week, as the menu made no mention of «Sabado y Domingo». «Yes, its served all week.» Score! Its a rarity to find weekday Menudo, and even more rare to find GOOD weekday Menudo. I’m about to find out if I doubled down on my luck. Ordered the large Menudo immediately w/flour tortillas, and an Iced Tea. Huge cup of Iced Tea came out. It was good, especially with some added lemon. Nothing crazy special about it, just good refreshing tea with a grip of ice. My enormous bowl of piping hot Menudo soon followed. Served with a handful of lemon slices, plenty of chopped onion, and a few pinches of cilantro. I commenced dipping my tortillas into the broth, and eventually started making miniature«tripe n hominy burritos» to munch on while my food cooled off. 50⁄50 hominy to tripe ratio. BIG pieces of wonderfully chewy tripe, and the hominy was still firm, not all mushy. Great texture. The flavors were there just like that, but I noticed that she didn’t give me oregano or chili powder/peppers. That is because those two spices are already on the table. You will find oregano and chili powder shakers right next to the salt and pepper in this restaurant! Its like they expect you to order Menudo. Adding these spices takes it up a notch for some legit Menudo. I went back there for lunch the other day, and had a small Menudo, just to get rid of my weekly Menudo craving, and I also ordered an Ortega Cheeseburger w/Fries. DAMNGOOD Burger, let me tell you. They didn’t reinvent the wheel with this, but its made well with good ingredients.(As long as you don’t put the pickles, or iceberg lettuce on the plate in it.) The patty is charbroiled really well, and the cheese, onion, and ortega chilies kind of melt into each other well to create a symphony of yum. The fries are krinkle-cut frozen processed potatoes, but they are still good. Not overcooked, but still firm, good taste and texture. The staff here is stellar, your drink get refilled with the quickness, they chat you up a bit as they constantly check-up on you. I’m glad I live just down the street, I will be coming here more often.

I have this odd thing where I’d want to order a Chinese appetizer with a Mexican entrée. Or a Mexican appetizer with a Chinese entrée. Well, you can do it here! Living in West Covina, I like to take the 10 freeway towards Ontario Mills Mall and stop at Diane’s Restaurant for lunch before every visit. Small parking lot but there always seems to be room. They are next to a nearby community college so they get frequent regulars. Speaking of regulars, I would say more than half of their customers are nearby locals that have been going to Diane’s for years. The servers have a connection with their customers and if you’ve been here multiple times, they already know your name. So friendly. Size portions of each plate are huge! We got a side of chips and were shocked(in a good way) of how large the plate was. I’ve eaten here about 3 times and each dish was enjoyable. I’ve never had a bad plate and always left here full. Don’t be discouraged by the outside of the restaurant. Come here, get your grub on!

Came back here for brunch around 10am on a Saturday and was able to grab a table quickly. I ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito and split an order of egg rolls with my group of 3. My goodness, this burrito was massive! The chorizo was delicious and the burrito was big enough to feed me for two meals. Our group also shared a plate of chips, which came out nice and hot. The salsa was a perfect compliment to the food, I finished the whole cup! If you’re a coffee drinker, be sure to grab a cup here. It’s tasty! I ordered a cup of hot coffee, but I’ll try iced next time. We ended with fortune cookies and horchata to go. Sounds like a odd combo, but it was a great way to end the meal. Paul and John were great to us again and made us feel very welcome. Can’t wait to come back!

They have the best crispy chicken taco’s in Colton, the salsa is the best. Being from Colton all my life I know the surrounding area is not the best which is probably why they close at 3:00 p.m. but the food is excellent. Not the menudo tho that tastes like canned«Juanita’s» best menudo in town is at La Veranda on Mt. Vernon south of Diane’s.

I love Diane’s! The enchiladas I crave about every other week, they come with a large plate of hot fresh chips and fresh salsa. This place is a #1 breakfast stop, you can order anything with just egg whites if you want to. I love the biscuits and gravy they are tasty and always piping hot. We come here once every other week, they offer Chinese which is exceptional, Mexican which is great, and American. Diane’s could use a make over, but if you get past that the food is actually pretty good.

Service was ok… that’s about it… food was Cold, Bland, and tasteless… Biscuits and gravy were by far the worst I’ve had… and weren’t even bicuits… They were like square pieces of cheap biscuit dough covered in a thin watery gravy… probably won’t return…

this has become our families fav breakfast place. Yes the appearance is a bit run down and divey … But the service and food for us has always been exceptional. they have a very expansive menu with a wide range of options. sadly they are only open until 2pm read the other comments and for the life of me. I do not know what some of those people are talking about . have gone to this establishment for a couple years and at least a couple times a month and no one has ever gotten ill…

I come to this place with my son about once month because the food is great and the service is always friendly. Diane’s is only open for breakfast and lunch so it’s best to come early. Oh they also make Mexican, American, and Chinese food that is absolutely wonderful.

Heard they had the best Menudo! I’ve had way better. The waitress was horrible. Horrible customer service skills and got our order wrong. How? Not sure when it was only 2 bowls of menudo. We ordered 1 small for my wife and a large for myself. She brings my wife a medium and me a small… Impressive. NOT! NOTTOMENTIONTHEHAVE A «B» FROMTHEHEALTHDEPARTMENT. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because they owners family«I think» the younger guys were very nice!
