Bud Rickert’s Art Center

I was looking to get a custom picture frame made for my first anniversary. I looked on Unilocal and Rickerts came up. It had five stars, so I called in and asked if they could make what I was looking for. They said yes, and I went in to consult with Mr. Rickerts. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. He was courteous, and I was impressed with his knowledge. Enough so, that I felt confident in giving him creative freedom to do his trade. He did not disappoint! The picture frame that he created for me was perfect. My wife loved it. His price was fair, I had asked him to go above and beyond and he delivered. I had originally thought to go to Michael’s, but I always thought they were overpriced. At Rickert’s, not only do you get a better deal, you get a better product, and he was so friendly, honest and creative, that I don’t think I will need to ever go anywhere else for my art supplies and picture framing needs. Thank you!

This is the finest Art Supply Store in Southern California. The have been in business for 63 years and provide outstanding customer service. I recently had three paintings framed and varnished. I am so pleased with the results that I would give them 20 stars if possible. The pricing and description of the work to be done was explained up front. I highly recommend Bud Rickerts to everyone for their art supply needs. This is one of the finest businesses I have ever dealt with.

Great local business with a friendly and helpful owner. I’m excited to try out the art classes they offer: once every two weeks on Saturdays from 10 am to noon for $ 20. So grateful to have local businesses that supply unique products and insights to the art world!

You wanna talk about a no-​nonsense, knows what he’s talking about art guy — that’s Doug. I went into his shop to get two pictures framed, told him my idea, and he had the frame and mat combo selected for each in about 30 seconds. But even better than his eye, is the quality of the framing job he does, I won’t go anywhere else. And anyone who loves art and/​or antiques, perusing the store is a real treat. I like to look around as much as the next guy, but I can’t take my mother-​in-​law there anymore, because I can’t get her out of that place. Hey, that gives me an idea…

Doug is one of the few true art professionals left and we can benefit from his extensive knowledge and decades of experience. This is the place for art and framing! They have different kinds of glass to protect your pictures, custom made frames, they do restorations and even teach an art class every other Saturday. If you need or know someone who needs art supplies, this is the place to go, you will be glad you did!

This a a great family owned business that has been here for about a million years. While not an artist by any means, I can tell this is the place to get supplies for what has become a lost art-​painting! Doug, son of Bud, is about the most easy going and pleasant guy you will ever meet, always soft-​spoken yet extremely helpful. I get artwork framed here and have been very satisfied every time I have done business there. Highly recommended!
