Its my favorite wing place in San Antonio! I have a few more wing places to try, but until then, Wingstop holds the place at number one! Now, everyone has their favorite way of enjoying wings… to me, it is a delicate balance of making sure the meat is cooked enough, and that the flavor does not taste overly preserved or fake. I also enjoy a wing with the skin not soggy, but still a bit crispy even when dipped in a classic buffalo/wing sauce. Also, the meat mustn’t stick to the bone… it is so much more graceful to eat wings where the meat just needs a small persuasion to come off the bone. I highly recommend the Louisiana, the original mild, and the garlic parmeasan. The carrots and celery are also very fresh and crisp every time I’ve ordered them. I am not a huge fan of the fries here; they are a homestyle fry that gets a dark color from the oil they fry it in, and then seems to be sprinkled with a sweet and salty coating. Some people crave the sweet and saltiness; they are ok, but not my favorite way to enjoy french fries. The potato salad, although seeming to be homemade, did not have much flavor for me; I could only taste the egg. I will have to try it again to be sure my taste buds weren’t messed up on that, but for now that is my take on the potato salad. The people are always helpful and ususally will assist you on purchasing your wings to save the most money, which is always a plus… for example, if there are two of you, sometimes it is more economical to order the 20 wings and a la carte the rest, instead of ordering two 10 wing meals… I am pretty sure that’s how it goes. I cannot wait to host a big party at my place and order a huge order of wings here. Wingstop wings are the best addition to any football(or other) party!
