I am a military dependent, my father is in the military and currently active. I figured I’d be able to get into this place with a workout partner to spot me during my lifts. I was denied at the front door and told you cannot bring any guests what so ever. This is very sad, I thought this was geared towards military families, the man at the front desk was very rude, did not greet us, he simply told us to leave if my buddy didn’t have a I.D. Card. Now I get if it’s only for military families or military itself, but asking others around you for a spot everytime you lift can get pretty annoying when you’re lifting heavy weight and just want to take proper precautions. I am very dissapointed in this gym, although it looked good from afar, the customer service and the guest policy is outrageously terrible, won’t ever be coming back here again, and remember, don’t bring a «guest» if they don’t have a proper military I.D. Card.

Hmm. I think at one point, this was just a hangar type rec space. Then later on came the additions. I come to this conclusion because as soon as you walk in, you stumble upon the basketball court. Which would be the hangar space. You then have to travel through the court to get to the weight, cardio, and locker rooms, which would be the additions. I’m no feng shui master, but something tells me the chi is off. Regardless, it’s a gym, so who cares. Two things are important to making a gym successful. Are you able to get in an effective workout? Did you not contract MRSA from the equipment? If you answered ‘yes’ to these questions, then that gym is A-OK. Thankfully, with Warhawk, I can say, ‘yes.’

three words: FAMILYFITNESSROOM, helps reduce that excuse that you can’t work out because there’s no one to watch the rug rats! Well the family fitness room is a big room, sectioned off by a child fence that they most likely bought at the BX down the street and furnished with squishy blocks for the kids to tackle or throw, books, kid couches, a table with four chairs, and baby toddler toys and a little 20 inch HD tv on the wall that’s permanently tuned into Nickelodeon Network showing iCarly or whatever tween show they have these days. There’s two tread mill machines, an elliptical, row machine, bike, some free weights, a chair, and a weight machine that I have no idea what the name is. It’s alright and gets the job done. I got with a buddy around 430−5pm and it’s not crowded and we get a good 1 – 1 ½ hr work out. It’s fairly clean, unless you’re worried about micro organisms then you’re on your own, there’s an antibacterial spray and disposable towel machine to help wipe stuff down even though the bottle probably says leave it on the machine for 10 minutes to kill all bacteria who really does that at the gym! Downside: bathrooms are on the OTHERSIDE! I wish they had one right there so when the little guys need to go right as you’re about to get your running grove on you can just let them match themselves right on over. hehe but hey it’s free for military and families so you win some and you loose some right?
