This Walmart has some of the worst customer service I’ve seen for a Walmart especially in their site to store department. Every time I’ve been there to pick up something I’ve ordered I have to wait for such a long time before someone finally comes to the back of the store to help me and I usually have to hunt an employee down to help get a manager. The managers act like they are being bothered when they get back there to help you. There is hardly ever enough checkout lanes open either so you are usually stuck waiting in one of the two lanes open for such a long time to check out.

Store has everything else every other Walmart has. There are a few departments that were lacking. First was the garden section outside. Most of all the plants look diseased or dying and the electronics section was very unorganized and didn’t have a good selection like the others I visit. The checkout lines were about normal and the store overall was cleaner than most. Enjoy

I like this Wal-Mart; I go here for grocery trips if I don’t need a lot of produce. I can find mostly everything I need, meats are usually a good selection. I don’t rely on them for produce, selection is slim and rots quickly once brought home. Pharmacy is stocked with the meds we use, a quick run-in if we need something last minute. I go early in the morning to avoid a busy store and I prefer to use the self check out. The computers have a mind of their own but 90% of the time, are my friend ;-)

Not the greatest Walmart, we’ve been there late at night and ZERO cashiers were open, ended up just putting our stuff down and walking out, there was no way to pay. The pharmacy told us to return in a couple hours after trying to pick it up from docs visit, we called to see if it’s ready, said yes, showed up, and we were told that they don’t carry that medicine and my insurance won’t cover it? If you don’t have the medicine then how do you know I’m not covered? Asked them to transfer my prescription, I dint trust w/e they were going to give me. Automotive is just lazy, told my fiancé they can’t change our headlights because they don’t have the right sockets, we know how to do it, just preferred paying someone $ 5 bucks and picking up a few items, said screw it to him and walked out. FYI you don’t need tools to change headlights.

Incredibly unpleasant experience. I went to try a shirt on that was on a hanger, the attendant wouldn’t let me leave my other purchases outside insisting I take them with me, when I finished trying the shirt on I hung it up outside the rooms and tried to leave. She stopped me, took my purchases, rifled through them and then as I was walking away yet again she called me back because she didn’t see the shirt I tried on that was one of two things hanging up. That put me in a bad mood, then when I was doing the self checkout because I didn’t want to deal with whoever else the store had to offer I had to void an item and the attendant took her time getting over to me and started to go through my bagged items before I stopped her, told her what I wanted voided and handed her the item that had been sitting on the counter. Now I know why I rarely go to this store.

I just bought produce in the Helotes store about 3:30 this afternoon. Came home put up groceries, and then started prepping for our dinner guests. Was not happy to find that the beautiful cucumbers that I had just purchased there had obviously previously been frozen! Not Happy! Just had to send my husband out to H.E.B to purchase more. Needless to say I’m not driving all the way back to Helotes, from Castroville, to return cut up produce!

First of all, I hate the fact they have like 20 registers, but they only have 2 open lanes. And what is the deal with the self check outs? Are they for decoration only? I don’t think I have ever seen one open at this walmart. I recently made a purchase and then realized Walmart played me with a «bait & switch» strategy. I purchased the last comforter of this kind from the Helotes stores. The front picture stated the comforter was a king size. I took it home to find that the comforter was actually a full size. After further inspection of the plastic bag it came in, I noticed the side where the bar code is, stated it was a full size. How does one side say king and the other say it’s a full? I bought it assuming it was a king size. Since it was the last one I took the comforter for an even exchange to this store on leslie road and the manager sees the problem and asks me which one I paid for on the receipt. I said I didn’t know since I purchased it thinking it was a king and there was no price listed where I got it although, the website did state that they were the same price. I go and get another comforter exactly like it. This time I checked both sides and I pulled out the comforter to make sure it said it was a king itself and it was. I took it back and he told me I owed a difference. First of all the website stated they were the same price but are you kidding me? Even if it’s a different in-store pricing, I purchased it thinking it was a king because that is what the huge picture on the front said and after you inconvenience me in having to come back you want to charge me the difference. He tells me «if you want to fight it you have to go to the helotes store where you bought it». That is the wrong thing to say over a few dollars. Especially when I didn’t make a mistake at all!!! I purchased exactly what I wanted and then you are going to charge me more for your own mistake? They always advertise that they will beat other prices but they will not even honor THEIROWN prices. For being such a huge company, their customer service sure SUCKS!!!

I believe it’s 24 hours. Does look a little older. Typical Walmart. Staff was nice and helpful.

This place is always dirty. Produce looks rotten and as if it fell off the truck, got ran over then put on display. There are ALWAYS carts scattered around the parking lot. Staff is rude and ghetto. Usually wearing dirtly looking faded clothes. Customers are are dirtier than the store. Merchandise is always strewn around.

Okay, I go to Wal-Mart only when it is the only place open or if it is the closest place to purchase what I might happen to need at that particular time. Luckily, there is almost always a Target within a reasonable distance so I can avoid Wal-Mart, but this day was not the case. On this day, there were more mullet sightings here than at a NASCAR race. We go in and the place just makes me regret coming in. Maybe it is the sheer size of the store or the way the floor is laid out. I just don’t like it. I do like the Wal-Mart on 281&1604. But as for this one, I think I would rather spend my time at the NASCAR race instead of here.
