Walgreens

I have no idea why the rating isn’t higher. of course I can’t speak to the store itself but the PHARMACY… they rock. Always fast, going the extra mile, and trying to save you money. Even recommending alternative options to ask the doctor about or over the counter substitutes. Amazing.

The pharmacy here is always slow. They will
literally stare at you and say nothing/​do nothing. I have been insulted by an employee for asking him why the screen said $ 50 more than my purchase. When I called it in they informed me it was not the first time the guy had been reported for it. I am sitting in the pharmacy line now to pick up my script and the line has not moved one person in the ten minutes I have been here yet there are three people working the pharmacy. I will be taking my prescriptions to HEB from now on.

Staff is nice. Convient location. Prices are like any other drug store. The line to check out is some times really long especially when its around 5 and 6 pm. Being in retail and managment– I would think they would schedule more people to help check out customers…

Well a Walgreens is a Walgreens and I wasn’t really expecting anything special from this one and it didn’t really stand out from the rest. The complaint I have about this location is that I can’t ever EVER get the pharmacy on the phone. I recently moved back to San Antonio after being in Austin for many years and all I really wanted to do was to get my prescriptions transferred to this location. I was told I needed to call them and have them transfer them. I am not exaggerating when I say that at least for 3 days straight, I was trying call them. I went through the dreaded phone tree and pushed the button to speak to a pharmacist, I would wait for a very long time and then get automatically transferred back to their automated system to go through their phone tree all over again. I contemplated after the 3^rd day to just go to their pharmacy in person but then changed my mind because I decided that I don’t want to deal with a pharmacy that is never going to answer their phone. I ended up calling a different location (who answered their phone right away by the way) and although this location was a little further away from my home, I think the change is totally worth it. After having to deal with pharmacies for most of my life, I think this is the worst one I’ve had to deal with. Well, I guess I didn’t really have to deal with them since they never answered their damn phone.

As far as Walgreens go, this one is pretty much like the other ones: bright lights, As Seen on TV aisles, candies I have only seen at Walgreens, tilted mirrors by the ceiling at the back of the store so I can see each aisle and spot a particular product in a timely manner. It does not get much Walgreens than this…
