This air port is way too big to navigate and it makes it harder when traveling with a handicapped elder. The help/assistance is definitely lacking in regards to the elders.

I feel guilty giving a nonprofit 3 stars, especially one like USO; however, when I’m comparing this location to the many others I’ve been to, I can’t quite give this place a fair 4 stars. This USO is the tiniest facility I’ve been to and also has the worst hours. Their hours are unpredictable because they are reliant on volunteer hours(as with all USOs). This location should be open 8am to 4pm but may open/close earlier/later depending on volunteer availability, so the hours are more of a suggestion than fact. I don’t know how the other USOs have been able to keep such successful outputs of volunteers, but this USO hasn’t been able to achieve that. On top of that, they’re also the tiniest USO that I’ve been to and the most minimal. There are reclining couches with a TV and some snacks/drinks, which is nice and a restroom that’s not too far away. Again, I always appreciate USO for all the services rendered by volunteers and the generous donations. I took off points more so to have a fair assessment when comparing USOs in general.

I’ve visited many USO locations due to frequent travel. This little USO was clean, quite, and had an amazing volunteer at the front desk. The USO itself does not warrant the 3 stars but rather the lack of donations that we provide them. The freezer and fridge were close to empty, and the shelves were sparse. My family and I have benefited from many USO locations and this was certainly an eye opening moment. We, myself included, need to help these volunteer and donation based organizations! Thank you USO volunteers!!!

Went here with my buddy a few months ago… great little location and they do a great job of providing for our service men & women.

Seriously! First let me say Im a frequent traveler and I have to many USO’s. i have had nothing but stellar folks take care of me at all of their locations. This particular location here at the San Antonio airport is one that I frequent the most, to the point that the volunteers know me. Anyway, tonight USO at San Antonio airport lost some points, not because of the ammenities or the service they provide, but because of one over zealous, trite, confused, unwittingly rude volunteer. Most USO’s have someone greet you, check your id, and ask if you needed anything then let you in your way. This guy did none of that, well he kind of did, but in a more inquisitive and interrogative way. Trust when I say this man is clueless about customer service and how to interact with people, even if you are a volunteer and the services are free, you need to treat people with a certain respect and not treat them like they are trying to steal from your momma. And you certainly dont chastize someone when you dont even know what is going with them. Sparing details, i left immediately becuase i probably would have went ballistic. But i returned immediately to let the USO guy know how unproffesional he was and maybe volunteering somewhere else would be benificial. Besides this night the volunteers have been great. The ammenities are plentiful with reclining leather seats, free wifi, candies, drinks, books, and all sorts of other things. Not the nicest one but it works well, i just wish this night it was a bit better!

This USO was better than many USOs that I have been to. The volunteers that run this USO were very nice and welcoming. The food was good and there was plenty of seating too. Hours vary based on volunteer availability. Some days it opens/closes earlier or later than posted.
