I’ve heard that this park has the tallest monument to the Confederate soldiers who died in battle in all of Texas! There used to be some beautiful cannons that were shown off here, but the city took them down.
This is a pretty park that the city has let fall to pieces.
No public restrooms, no working drinking fountains.
We were sitting under the trees watching a live band, and a huge tree branch came crashing down, almost killing a poor park patron relaxing under the tree!
At least the grass is green, and the place is relatively picked up.
