What a terrible experience. I took my sister and mom to start their mother of the bride and grandmother of the bride dress shopping. First store we went to just to start getting an idea of what was possible. The sales lady was so rude and unhelpful. She was immediately frustrated when my sister said she didn’t know what she was looking for and said she couldnt help her unless she knew what she wanted. We just wanted to look around. And when my sister found something she liked the sales lady said it wasn’t available in her size and put it back on the rack… didn’t even offer to help find something similar in her size. What should have been a pleasant family experience was just awful and upsetting. Will never go back and will tell everyone I know about the experience. Not like the experiences I had when the store was in Alamo Heights.

I am shopping for a birthday gift for a friend who lives in San Antonio. I plan to mail her a gift-card for this purchase so I can make sure she gets what she wants. Please quote me your price-range for Nice Cami-tops. Thanks.

I’ve been on a wild goose chase through San Antonio looking for a formal gown. Aside from the more«generic» selection to be found at David’s Bridal, Macy’s, Nordstroms, etc., this city is severely lacking in the designer dress department(dedicated stores, at least). They seemed to have a decent selection here, but none that I was particularly fond of or impressed with(big fan of the Jovani, La Femme, Todashi!). Many styles they have right now are very«mother-of-the-bride-esque» and not even close to reasonable priced when considering the shoddy bead-work of many of the dresses they have in stock… not necessarily because of the designs, but the way they’re displayed/stored. I was very disappointed, but kind of set myself up for it after sitting in the 281⁄1604 interchange traffic trying to get there. In addition to the selection, the woman who was working at the time wasn’t hugely helpful and suggested dress after dress that fit the description of what I DIDN’T want. Unfortunately, the formal event for which I’m shopping is next month. I will most likely be ordering a dress online :(Bummer. Maybe prom time is a better time to shop.

With prom season rolling around, this store seemed like a decent stop to let my little sister try on gowns. Without much luck in previous stores, we didn’t know what to expect here. The store is pretty big and the two ladies working were very friendly. First off, the dresses at this store start at about $ 350 and run up to about $ 1,000 so if that exceeds your budget don’t waste your time. They had a few decent options that caught her eye, yet most of the gowns were very formal(exceeding prom formal) so we left empty handed. This seemingly ignored store is laced with a few classic ball gowns and some unique creations I haven’t seen elsewhere. In my opinion, however, only one was breath taking and all the others were nothing special that couldn’t be found in Saks or Nordstrom. They also have a mediocre selection of casual wear, but it appears to be for older women because I wouldn’t wear anything from there. I wouldn’t recommend shopping here for prom, but I would say it’s a suitable option for women seeking gowns for formal occasions.

I wish I had known about Town & Country when I got married. This is a beautiful high-end gown shop in the Stone Oak area. The dresses are gorgeous and I haven’t seen a selection like it anywhere. The store itself is bigger than it looks from outside and they have pretty much any accessory needed for a night on the town. I just wish I had someplace fancy to go to, I would love to wear something from this store.
