Up and coming neighborhood with some really beautiful charming homes. So close to the fun sights and a walk or bike ride to everything. Friendly waves and smiles as you drive by. People are out and about here– True Texas hospitality.

This is a really cool side of town. I really enjoy it over here! There’s so many great parks, cool scenes, and great places to chill. Tobil Hill is a historic part of San Antonio with a history going back hundreds of years. It’s not just urban sprawl around here, but a network of parks and waterways that give San Antonio much of its character! Be sure to check out the Pearl, and the River North project. This is one of the most beautiful and historic parts of the city.

Definitely one of the more«hip» sides of SA. Five minute walking distance to downtown. Home of the Pearl Brewery, White Rabbit, SAC, etc. Access to public bikes, the riverwalk, the museum’s(SAMA, etc). Definitely an inner city, downtown vibe. I love living here more than any other part of TX, and I’ve been all over the lone star state. Also, minutes away from Taqueria Datapoint, one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants the county.

Truly one of the great neighborhoods of San Antonio. The Pearl Brewery Complex, The San Antonio Museum of Art, Brackenridge Park, The San Antonio Zoo, San Antonio College, the North St. Mary’s Strip, the North Main Strip, the Riverwalk’s northern reach – all are located at least partially within Tobin Hill’s boundaries. I love living here. The neighborhood is thriving and eclectic, with houses of different styles and stages of repair side-by-side, and people of many disparate walks of life living together. Great restaurants, bars, concert venues, art galleries, and businesses of all types are found in Tobin Hill. I like that I don’t have to leave my neighborhood to enjoy a rich experience, whether it be fine dining, bars, a concert or just a nice stroll down a pretty street. But if I want to leave the area, downtown is only a hop skip and a jump away. Tobin Hill is also very bike friendly, featuring extensive bike lanes, and courteous drivers who, much more often than not, actually slow down and grant the right of way to cyclists. This is also somewhat of a misunderstood neighborhood. True, it has a few run-down spots, but it’s an old part of the city – you’re bound to find that. These are places in need of TLC, just waiting to be brought back to life. And while Tobin Hill may not appear to offer the cocoon of safety associated with suburbia, I can assure you that it is actually a very safe place to live, work and raise children. In fact, there are a number of highly-regarded private schools here. And crime rates are relatively low. It’s worth saying that I’ve lived here for a couple years now and have had no problems with crime. But for my money, suburbia just doesn’t offer the history, personality and soul that are found here. It’s a place with a deeper connection to the essence of San Antonio, and I love it.
