Good food. Parking sucks but the location is good. Good drinks. Only thing that threw me off was they were mopping during business hours. The whole restaurant. It smelled like fabuloso and the guy propped the front door open so the floor can dry so flys came in. Ruined my appetite. But the shrimp quesadillas are the best!

Unfortunately, this place was a big disappointment for me. Went with some friend’s on a Sunday around 3pm. It wasn’t super busy but there were people there. I hadn’t been before so I decided to order one of their specials, which was«Camaron en Crema de Chipotle»(sauteed shrimp in chipotle crème sauce over Mexican rice and avocado with salad). The sauce was really good, nice amount of spice, but that was it. The shrimp was so mushy that you couldn’t tell you were eating it. They used shrimp that were those little frozen ones like what you find at HEB, not fresh at all. I ended up not being able to eat it because the shrimp were just so mushy. I asked the waiter to take it back, and he did. I was told that the queso was really good, so i ordered the queso with chorizo to go. It was just as bad as the shrimp. Just a congealed mess of cheese, not creamy at all like what I’ve had at other places, just a pile of cheese slightly melted with a pile of chorizo on top. I’m really disappointed with this place, i’m hoping when i give it a second chance it’ll be better and i’ll be able to give a better rating.

Server did not want to give happy hour prices to a group of 12 because they only serve happy hour on the other side of the wall. Owner, manager, and bartender made it right. Food is good, drinks are awesome, they have a bunch of liquor that can’t be found in most places.

This place is amazing! The tortillas are homemade and the service was great. We were surprised as the restaurant is in a very humble establishment and I am so glad we decided to try the food. My kids are extremely picky with their Mexican food as they are half Mexican and they were so m pleased, it reminded them of their grandmother’s cooking.

In town from Hawaii visiting a dear friend, he’s my foodie friend and we are very adventurous together. So using Unilocal we always look for mom and pop joints. Needless to say Unilocal hasn’t failed us yet. He ordered the Mario’s Plate and I ordered Gabriela’s Plate both were off the charts delicious. Chips and salsa were amazing and very fresh too. We went there during happy hour on a holiday and service was off the chart. We had their lime margaritas and watched baseball from the bar tables. I would recommend this place to everyone. Fast, friendly and I would say family friendly. Only issue is parking. Just make sure your park legally. The cops were roaming around citing cars. They were on the main drag when we went in and came out, about 60 minutes later. There is a bike rack if you want to bicycle there too.

I had the cheese enchiladas, which is my go-to meal. For the price, they were great, however when compared to other enchiladas — these were lacking. The sauce isn’t as robust as I would prefer and the rice isn’t as flavorful. Still, it’s decent enough to eat and be content. 3.5÷5

After reading some great reviews for this place my girlfriend and I decided to try it out though after our dining experience I don’t know how this place got such a high rating. First of all it took a good 10 minutes or so for someone to notice we were sitting waiting for some menus and water, the place was empty by the way maybe 4 – 6 tables max at the time we came in. So service here, sucks. Second, the food definitely left us unsatisfied. I ordered the shrimp enchiladas seeing as it was a local favorite and it was a major letdown. The white sauce was great, but other than that, the rice was under seasoned and the shrimps were tiny and overcooked. It’s like I could’ve ordered some fried rice from some Chinese restaurant, picked out the shrimp and freakin’ rolled and cooked it in my own tiny tortilla and drenched it in sauce. My girlfriend ordered a steak fajita quesadilla, the steak was under seasoned as well and I’m pretty sure they were just counting on the saltiness of the cheese for flavor. The guacamole that came on the side was ridiculously salty, I mean wow, did they pour a whole shaker of salt in there? They must have to compensate for the poorly seasoned meat. Too pricey for the quality of the food and service. Overall I do not recommend this place and will definitely not be coming back, we didn’t try the drinks though so maybe ordering a few margaritas would’ve made the food easier to swallow but oh well.

Alright Texas, how can this place receive such a high rating?! My girlfriend and I walked 18 minutes to check this place out coz well, they have good reviews only to be disappointed in the end. We went in and the sign says«Seat yourself» so we did… only to wait 10 – 12 minutes for a server to come and acknowledge us! She apologized saying that she thought somebody’s already taking care of us. I would understand if it’s packed but damn, there’s only 4 – 5 tables occupied. Chips and salsa for appetizer. The chips, folks, are stale and not even heated! Not appetizing at all. I ordered a beef fajita quesadilla. consisting of underseasoned and limited pieces of meat and very salty guacamole on the side! Seriously, do they not taste their food?! My girlfriend wasn’t very happy with her shrimp enchilada as well. The shrimp looks like the ones you see on a Chinese fried rice(tiny pieces) and overcooked. On a positive note, the enchilada sauce is real rich… creamy and cheesy. So if you’re all about the cheese, come to this place. Lol! If not, then avoid this place like the plague.

I really enjoyed the fresh salsa here! It was salty and actually had a kick. All of the dishes were fairly priced. You can get a great lunch or satisfying dinner for under $ 13. I had the Enchiladas de Cameron and I loved it! My only criticism is that the cream sauce was a little too thick and needed to be sweetened. The steak on the nachos and fajita plate was perfectly cooked, tender and flavorful. I didn’t care for the flour tortillas, although they were homemade. Maybe we just got a bad batch, but they were stale and over done. My friend had the nachos and he cleaned the plate! My coworkers really enjoyed the spicy margarita, and you can get it skinny ladies!

I was talked in to bicycling in the city’s Siclovia today. Select streets are closed off for people to ride bicycles, walk, jog, use skateboards and generally get themselves moving. We were near our starting point when we decided to make a detour and grab a late lunch. My buddy suggested Tito’s since it was mere blocks away. The bicycle rack in front of their restaurant was full to overflowing as others before us had the same idea. No matter, we chained our bicycles and found a table near the bar. I’ve been here before a few times for the mexican food which I’ve always enjoyed. This time I wanted a burger. They serve burgers??? Yes, they do. I ordered the burger with comes with fries for something like $ 6.99. Our server asked if I wanted cheese on it but I like seeing how a burger tastes without all the extras like bacon, cheese and such when I try it for the first time. How was it? It competes well against the burgers in town. The meat tastes charbroiled which I thoroughly enjoyed. The fries had a nice crunch to the exterior and I enjoyed the indoor atmosphere that was unpretentious but yet inviting. Who knew a good tasting burger could be had at a place known for mexican food. I suppose you could say I’m working my way through their menu and have yet to be disappointed. Who comes here? Well today it was lots of bicyclists, people watchers sitting outside on the front patio, neighborhood types and those who know where to get good food. This is not a fast food place where food appears in mere moments. It takes a little time and you should budget your schedule with that in mind. Engage in good conversation with your table mates and your food will be served to you before you know it.

Do you like awesome food? Sweet, me too. That’s why I came here and Sir Tito did not disappoint. Tip 1: Go with La Popular instead of the Mango Rita! Tip 2: The cream-sauce enchiladas are amazing! Seriously. I’m not an enchiladas fan and yah Tip 3: sit in the room with the bar area — I get a feeling service is better! –1 star cause drinks might not be very strong

I came here on a Friday morning with a group of friends while in town for a bachelorette party. We arrived closed to 10am, and there were only a few other customers dining, probably because most people were at work during this time. The service was friendly, and the food was pretty good with a few exceptions. I ordered the Chilaquiles Plate and a Chorizo & Egg breakfast taco. The jalapeño on the chilaquiles plate was extremely overpowering(even though I enjoy spicy foods) so it was hard to eat it, although when I tried eating around it the plate was pretty bland. The chorizo and egg taco was pretty tasty but it needed to be hotter(temperature). All in all I would recommend Tito’s for breakfast, as they have a wire variety of options, nice service and great prices.

This place used to be good but has gone downhill fast. I went there this past Saturday and my boyfriend and I both ordered the jalapeño cream enchiladas. We’ve had them several times before and liked them, but not this time. The sauce sauce was different — very runny. And they forgot to put the white cheddar cheese on top which was diappointing since we both love cheese. The refried beans had no flavor and the rice was dry. The only thing I liked was the salsa. We will not be going back. On top of all of this, my boyfriend got an upset stomach from his food and got mild diarrhea. Also, they never get good inspections from the city health department so I really shouldn’t be too surprised.

First night for dinner the food was amazing. Ordered multiple items and each one was great. Brad was very helpful and super smart on menu. Basic ambiance, nothing sticks out. Went back 2 days for lunch and very disappointed. Ordered same items, they had different taste and quality. Heard they were having trouble with staff in kitchen.

The first time I came to Tito’s it was just for a quick drink. I had reservations nearby and had arrived early. It was fine but I wasn’t blown away or anything. Then some friends of ours recommended the food and eventually we tried it. I remember thinking it was pretty good — but not blown away or anything. Over the years, though, as my Tex-Mex pallet has become more calibrated, I have really come to appreciate Tito’s as a consistent source of excellent Tex-Mex. The puffy tacos are probably the standout but I’ve enjoyed just about everything I’ve eaten at Tito’s. The crispy tacos, the gorditas, the fideo, the enchiladas. .all excellent. Plus they have really good chips and salsa. I frequently recommend Tito’s to anybody who is looking for good Tex-Mex in a fun atmosphere in the proximity of downtown.

These guys get stars on chips and salsa alone because their salsa is totally bitchin. If you want tequila and chips and salsa, this is your place. The rest of the food is pretty mediocre, BUTTHESALSA.

I’m surprised at Tito’s. Mostly at how the food was so good and the drinks were so bad. Came in around 3 on a Sunday, pretty empty. Ten tables or less. Hilarious older guy was our server. In his words, «Leo DiCaprio is God, the rest of us are nothing». He’s a treat. Ordered some drinks & more of their fantastic salsa which I had demolished before he ever came back. We ordered a basic Michelada & a Sangria Margarita. Waited. Talked movies with server. Waited. Ordered some mole enchiladas to split. Mole enchiladas appeared one second later. They prove to be amazing, with a side of rice and beans. I’m wishing I had not volunteered to split the order. Seriously. I 100% endorse Tito’s mole recipe. Drinks did eventually arrive! 1. Michelada — Its a cup of green stuff and an aluminum can of bud light… Whaaaat? I would not want a Bud Light regular, much less in a michelada. Also, where is the red stuff? Or the salt? Well, on a trust fall, we go with it. Taste like a Bud light michelada & looks like swamp water, but okay. 2. Sangria Margarita — Do not recommend unless you are curious how one drink could make you consider never drinking again. It was the color I expected & was salted with lime. However, it tasted like cheap gold tequila had fallen in with a jug of that Grocery Store premade«Sangria» and was currently working through a hangover. Honestly, I had a sip, made my company try it and then we proceeded to think of metaphors for what this Sangria Margarita tasted like. Do not trust this drink. Overall, I worship the food here and will possibly never drink here again.

Enjoyed my Margarita but it could have been a little stronger, LOL. Food was good not exceptional, service was friendly & helpful. I came in the late afternoon for a very late lunch & the parking was still dicey. This place seems to attract locals so the parking won’t be an issue for those who can walk here.

I, along with many others here, can’t for the life of me figure out why this place continues to get good reviews. Avoid Tito’s unless you are into subjecting yourself to truly horrible service and below average food for the price. The service here is worse than terrible. After finding your own table(no greeters and no sign saying seat yourself) you will be subjected to the first of many long waits. Ours happened to be about 10 mins before one of the three servers hanging out in the kitchen area chatting it up came out with a bowl of chips. Food was just OK. Service is HORRIBLE. Will not be returning. There’s great places in Southtown though. Try the Filling Station or Liberty Bar!

Ali and I went for lunch on Friday, Sept 25th. Service was quick but not rushed. The dining room stayed half full for the time we were there. I have the Friday special, which is the tilapia tacos. Two tacos and they were excellent. There were shreds of jalapeños and some awesome sauce mixed in there as well. It also came with rice and beans that I was too full to even touch. Free chips and salsa for an appetizer. The salsa tasted homemade but had the consistency of something bottled. Either way it was good. I only give four stars because the dining room is very loud. Concrete walls so there is a lot of echo and it can make it hard to hear your conversation. Otherwise a very good lunch. We will return

The food here was good. It was practically empty when we came on a Sunday night. Luckily they had a huge flat screen playing SNF so we could get our football fix. The mango ritas with chamoy had no mango flavor and tasted like a crappy frozen mix. My cilantro cream enchiladas were a little to dry for my liking. Hubby’s mixed plate also had one of the same enchiladas as well as a steak — which was full of flavor and tender. The service was good from our waitress but the other two guys working just looked pissed. Angry when we walked in, angry when we walked over to the specials board by the door to read them and got in one servers way, angry when I asked where the restroom was. I wanted to eat somewhere away from the river walk and that’s why we chose this place but I don’t know if I’d return– I would have hated to be served by those 2 grumpy guys. It killed my vibe!

Great food, but the service is always hit or miss. I really like the shrimp in chipotle cream sauce served over rice with avocado. I think that is my favorite dish. I also enjoy the ceviche tostadas, shrimp nachos, and shrimp enchiladas. The breakfast here is also really good. But like I mentioned before, don’t count on attentive wait staff. Once I had to wait 20 minutes after I finished my meal to get the waitress to bring me my ticket. Very few times have I been able to get a refill on drinks… all while not busy. The reason I come back is because of the food.

Although my meal was pretty limited here, it was still a great experience. Ordered a breakfast taco to go and it was perfect. Fresh warm hand made tortilla filled with eggs and cheese. Btw-they are very generous with the cheese, I had to remove half of it and there was still plenty. Friendly staff, plenty of seating too.

We decided to try a new place and the menu looked good. Every breakfast plate came with papa chorizo which I have only seen in tacos. I was happy with the change. When we arrived, I realized the prices have increased compared to Website. Even though the prices had increased by $ 2.00 on some plates we decided to try it out. To my surprise the food was really good. I had the King Williams Favorite, it contained all of my favorites: eggs with ranchero sauce, papa con chorizo and carne guisada(which was so tender and flavorful one of the best I had). My husband got some tacos. He said they tasted good, however the Barbaco had a lot of fat, but was flavorful. He is one of those who enjoy some fat… Me I would’ve sent it back. All in all we would go back, if we are ever on that side of town.
