Dr. Atkins is definitely a smart guy. My problem is that he doesn’t actually take time with his patients. He rushes you in and out so fast that it makes your entire experience uncomfortable. I was so excited to finally see Dr Atkins since I have suffered from sinusitis my entire life. I take antibiotics 3 or 4 times a year due to sinus infections that work their way into my lungs and it really hurts. My first time seeing him he told me that he wanted me to take antibiotics for a month and then he would do a ct scan. He told me that I should get my Vitamin D levels tested and that I should get the pneumococcal vaccine. I went and got lab work done and got the pneumococcal vaccine. The next time we met, he told me that I had a deviated septum, and that insurance wouldn’t cover balloon sinuplasty which would stop all of my sinus headaches. He then informed me to come back in when I had a real bad infection so that he could document it and try to convince my insurance. It felt so rushed that I felt cheated. If you can’t afford sinuplasty then don’t go and see him. He will just rush you out of his office like he did me.

Dr. Atkins is the best of the best! Extremely knowledgeably and highly respected for good reason! From experience I know he is great with adults and kids! Defiantly recommend!
