This place is definitely worth trying out. The parking lot is pretty small and not that easy to access since theres always a lot of traffic on west ave, but you can always park along the side of the street(La Manda). Theres 5 types of tacos to choose from: Cabeza, Suadero, Bistec 13years., Tripas and Al Pastor. I recommend you try all of them! Just a heads up, they only serve Al pastor on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Booo! The Bistec tacos are usually very delicious, but on this occasion they were pretty dry. They dont have fountain drinks, ony canned sodas, bottled mexican cokes, lemonade and horchata :) If you’ve never been, you order your tacos then pay after you eat. It can be pretty confusing your first time. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, but it does get super packed on the weekends so lunch is probably better than dinner here if you wanna avoid a lot of people.

Yeah, This place is authentic. I am a fan of all of their food except the Suadero. They call it suadero but it’s just not the same as the stuff you get in Mexico City. This stuff seems boiled and bland. It doesn’t have any color to it. In Mexico City it’s closer to the color of Pastor. Here it’s just kinda grey. Other than this complaint, everything else is great. I stop in here on a regular basis. It’s just like being in Mexico and ordering from a little street stall.

I found this place by mistake, I had been living in SA for a year and still hadn’t found good street tacos that I would call legit. I decided to give this place a try and I recommend it ever since then. Best street tacos in SA. Service is fast and friendly. All their choices are good, but I can’t go without ordering al pastor and tripas tacos. Seats inside and outside the restaurant with Mexican music. Haven’t tried any other street taco places since I am completely satisfied w this restaurant.

For authentic Mexican tacos, this is the best from Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio. It’s a long wait on Friday and Saturday nights, but it’s so worth it. The beef is dry so I would Oss, but who wants boring beef anyway? Get the tripe, tongue, head, suadero, and al pastor. Seriously, you won’t be sorry. Don’t expect the friendliest servers. They get five stars simply for authentic, damn good tacos.

Man oh man, these tacos are so evilly delicious! Why, you ask? Because I easily took down TWOORDERS the other night(after-bar-shenanigans) with absolutely no help from anyone at the table. That’s 10 freakin’ tacos! Small, yes, but DEF flavorful mini taquitos! No lettuce or tomato on your tacos here, they serve them straight up authentic style with sliced radish & pepinos, cilantro, and grilled or raw cebolla. And at about $ 6 an order, it’s a bargain. Here’s the drill: you walk up to the dudes at the outside grill(9 times out of 10 there will be a line, just be patient, the line goes quickly) and tell them what you want. It’s 5 tacos to an order. Wait for your tacos — sit down and eat, grab a Jarritos — pay and vámonos, wey! The tall cashier guy can be a little bit sassy, I’ve just come to accept it. Like I said, grab a Jarritos Tutti Frutti(or any other refreshment of your choosing) out of the fridge yo-self, cause they won’t offer to do that here for some reason… Anywho, they’ve got suadero(think brisket) and lengua(think barbacoa) and of course bistek(asada) along with the meat that comes shaved right off of that glorious meat wheel of delicious CARNEALPASTOR!!! Forget about even trying the first meats listed until you try the pastor!!! Go… get… tacos… NOW! Open ’til 11pm and 3AMONWEEKENDS!!! Parking can be tricky. Plastic accepted. Indoor /Outdoor seating. Don’t forget to tip!

Tacos were good, not alot of variety, long line to order and when I sat down the waiter just kept passing us up and didn’t ask if we needed anything to drink

Delicious, cheap, & as authentic as possible. Only thing is. should have tacos de trompo — but that’s just a suggestion. Also, the salsa bottles are gross. It kinda adds to the charm but I could do without it. And logistically, the parking is awful. But for the thing that matters: the food; it’s awesome.

Probably the best street tacos I have ever had. My friends took me here and I was super impressed. The tacos are as close to what you would find in Mexico. They have 5 meat types(Lengua, Bistek, Al pastor, Cabeza, and Saudero) aka tongue, carne asada, seasoned pork, cheek, and leg. You order from the window and the food is ready in a minute. They are served with onions, cilantro, radishes, and pickled cucumbers. After getting your food, you find somewhere to eat and then a worker will ask you if you want anything to drink(mainly Mexican drinks in glass bottles). They leave red and green salsa on the tables if you need it. What tripped me out was that you pay after you eat. Not many places do that but I completely understand since it’s easy to go back for more. For 5 tacos and a drink was around $ 8. I HIGHLY recommend coming here with someone who speaks Spanish if you don’t.

Stopped by for some tacos. Patio, grill located outside, and your food cooked to order. You walk up and order, they give your food, then pay after you eat. I ordered carnitas, dry and tasteless meat. My husband who loves this place even said today the tacos weren’t too great. I wouldn’t come back.

Six types of meat. All of them good. Toppings are onions and cilantro with red or green salsa! These are the only real tacos in San Antonio. Paired with a Mexican Coke and I am in Mexico if I close my eyes!

Take a lesson La Gloria. This is what authentic street tacos are like. This has to be one of the most authentic Mexican Street Taco places in town. You drive up, order outside, eat, and then tell the guy what you ordered and pay. Its best if you know Spanish(yes it is) since this is the real deal. My favorite was the Al Pastor… yes…finally someone who has it on a traditional trompo WITH the pineapple on top… that is important. For those of you that don’t know this, the Al Pastor was introduced to the Mexican culture during the Persian invasion of Mexico. That’s why it looks like a middle eastern rotisserie. They adopted the style of cooking this meat. Best to go when its cold out or on a rainy day. LOVETHISPLACE!!!

Great food! WARNING: you must be able to speak Spanish to some degree if you come at night! I do not know if this holds true during the day however at night, it appeared as if I was the only one that could speak English. All in all, this place really reminded me of the street tacos one would find in Mexico. Meat however was a little salty and greasy. Other than that, I’ll definitely be coming back soon. The taco al pastor was delicious! Straight off the skewer with some sliced pineapple! Not particularly cheap – I bought 24 tacos and 2 sodas for 38 $. These tacos are also bite size so be prepared to shell out some cash. It was sad to hear but I guess for good reason, this place does not sell alcohol. It’ seems that this place could get a little shady late at night. In summary, I’ll be coming back for sure! Try it out if you’re out late looking for some good Mexican food

These tacos are tiny… like bite size tiny. I ate 6 tacos & was still famished afterwards. I’m 4’11″ &6 tacos anywhere else would have filled me up. But not here :( I had 2 saudero, 2 al pastor, &2 carne asada. My husband ordered the same for himself. They were a-ok. But really nothing special. The meats tasted too similar to each other. Also, the distribution of meats on the tacos was very inconsistent. Some tacos had almost no meat while others had a bit more. It was easy enough to shift the meats around. But come on! Plating is YOUR job. The ordering & paying system was very bizarre & disorganized. My husband & I ordered with the guys outside & received our tacos from them. We went inside to find seating. A different guy slammed two sticky, dirty dispensers of salsas down on our table(GROSS! PASS!) & asked if we wanted a drink. My husband asked for a Mexican Coke. He told my husband to grab one from the fridge. Ok… I guess it’s a serve yourself kinda place. We asked if we should pay for everything before eating. Inside dude said to pay after. Ok. So we ate & drank. Then went to pay. Dude asked us what we had. I told him 12 tacos and a Mexican Coke. He insisted that we drank 2 Cokes. Seriously?! My husband only grabbed ONE Coke out of the fridge… per your instruction, mister! But then you have the audacity to question our honesty??? Just look at how many bottle is on the table! ONE!!! Anyone who’s been out to eat with us lately know I carry green juice with me & that’s what I drink. This is why you(business owner and staff) should have a WRITTEN system of accountability! I could have told you we had 6 tacos. But I wouldn’t do that because I believe in Hell. Feel me?! Nothing we ordered was written down anywhere. That’s not our fault! We offered to pay BEFORE eating and showed the staff member exactly what we had at our table. So we did not appreciate being accused of something that we did not do! Makes me question their entire accounting process. How do they calculate their profit margin or pay their taxes with no written tally. Very suspicious business practice! Dude grudgingly rang me up. $ 20+ for 12 tiny tacos & a Mexican Coke?! Seemed steep but whatever I was done arguing with him. We will not be back.

Watch these fools very carefully … I ordered only 2 Taquitos… Lengua y Tripas… gave him my debit card. Charged me $ 41.15!!! They definitely do not communicate worth a damn!!! Frontline vs. Cashier… and if I had not looked at the receipt before signing… screwed royally. Then he tried to no specko English… so in my best Spanish/Colombian dialect I let him and his Posse have a piece of my Texas Tejano Mind… PTSD let loose… Look on their faces… priceless!!! So be aware… of what they try to do to customers unaware!!! Pinche Way!!! Always Vigilante…
