All the Jalisco places are awesome! They never disappoint. The staff is great and fast, food is always delicious and the best part is that it’s super cheap! I love it(: I keep coming back every time I’m in town

I kid when I’m in north Texas that you can’t swing a dead cat in the middle of any San Antonio intersection without hitting at least 20 Taqueria’s. They’re a dime a dozen and every time I leave and come back I swear more have sprung up. That said I’m always perplexed that we San Antonian’s eat at whatever one is close by, no matter the conditions, so long as it’s cheap and eatable. You’d think with all the competition we’d be a little pickier but nonetheless, Taqueria Jalisco No. 8 remains. The morning I came it was pretty busy. We had never been here before and we weren’t sure if we seat ourselves or wait to be seated. After patiently waiting to grab an employee’s attention to ask, the waitress shot us a «are you f’in dumb» look and then said ‘you can sit wherever’. Sorry! Just wanted to be sure. So, I suggest a sign reading«Please seat yourself» so that I don’t have to have a snotty remark from an employee. We came for breakfast and the breakfast tacos were good. Nothing spectacular, nothing bad either. Just your average Mexican breakfast food. And truthfully, I’d like to comment more on the food but our waitress stuck out the most. She was rude. Just down right, snotty and short with us from the moment we sat down. It was like we were a nuisance and all we did is order our food. Once she brought us our plates we never saw her again. To sum up her attitude and lack of professionalism, my friend tipped her 75 cents which I said was about 74 cents too high. I can’t stand a rude waitress. I seriously checked my food before I ate. So considering there are tons of other options in San Antonio, I will not be going back here. Food get’s two stars, customer service gets none. Average them together and Taqueria Jalisco No. 8 gets one star.
