The best sushi I have tasted. Incredibly delectable. I brought my family with(who have never eaten Sushi) and they enjoyed themselves. My father’s exact words after trying his first bite(Cosimo Roll), «Woah, what a beautiful sensation.» Ha, thanks for the excellent food!

Hm never been in such a terrible service restaurant! I don’t know what’s wrong with out table’s server but she intentionally ignored us when we didn’t get one last food. We tried to contact with her eyes but she never came to our table and never checked. Then when we called her to ask what happened to the last food and then she said she will check and there was some problem with computer order? Man you really think we will believe? We are not stupid! Then we could tell that the order lost and they started to prepare that last dish! She was in very inapproprite attitude that she didnt even seem to be sorry. We wasted our time so long and were very unhappy with their service and food. Although we ordered warm food, you can tell the food we got from her were very cold which means she didnt track our dishes! The experience in this restaurant was so terrible and won’t go ever!

This was a very nice place. I loved the vibe, they greet you with a Japanese saying when you walk in. I had the Philadelphia roll and the tropical roll. The tropical roll was different, it was a vegetable and mango on top with a line of Sriracha sauce, but very good. Oh and the rock that is on your table is actually where you place your chopsticks when not in use.

Really yummy food, our waiter was punctual and always made sure our drinks were filled and recommended to us what was good to share for two people. I really love sushi and their sushi was amazing! It’s not too expensive but this place also isn’t as hoity toity as some sushi places you might go to but it’s awesome for a date night. I definitely recommend to other couples who want to share a few roles and drink sake because it’s pretty chill and quiet, no TVs, nice low lighting and the ambience is good.

Dear Manager AT, Thank you for your response to my review on 5÷16÷15., however, a little late. We spoke with the waitress, the chef and the manager with no appropriate response. Poor, poor customer service.

What a disappointment. I come to this location at least once a week. I walk in at 9:50 pm & sit at the bar. I ask for a menu and the waiter tells me «It’s last call». I ask for clarification and he states. «If you don’t know what you want, we can’t serve you, because it’s last call». I said«I come in here once a week, I just need a moment». The waiter states«Sorry it’s last call». So I left. This was a horribly appealing situation especially because I am a neighbor and come in here so often.

Excellent spot. The menu impressed me with its variety across Japanese cuisine. The seafood soup with udon was great, as was the Japanese fried rice that I forgot the name of. The sushi itself was very serviceable and good quality. The server was helpful, attentive, but not overly involved in our meal. There were a few flies that bothered us, but it was forgivable to me, it seemed to be centralized to our seats near the door.

Quick bite, very nice place the staff young and eager to please you, the front of the place fast and fresh. The back of the the restaurant slow with the order, rice a bit dry on the sushi not as wet as I liked. The fish was fresh not fishy, and the veggies had a nice crispness to them. Great place for some yummy sushi at a good price.

Decent sushi restaurant in San Antonio especially if you like rolled sushi. Nigiri is not too great since fish«neta» is second rate at best. It’s conveniently located near the River Walk for those who are visiting the area.

I am used to going to the Wurzbach location so maybe my standards are high. We ordered soft shell crab kragagge which was off. The presentation was odd, batter was odd i think it was slightly overcooked or perhaps the fryer was too hot or had burnt oil. The shrimp and scallop yakitori which was cooked nice but cold which was odd because each piece appeared seared alittle dark. I was disappointed in the salmon mushbi was not as favor full as Wurzbach location. The vegas roll was as expected and the spicy edamane was flavorful. I would only come to this location in a pinch. Wurzbach location never has disappointed us. If there is any way to have this location hold to standards of Wurzbach location I hope they do.

This is a review for their delivery service and the food quality, as I have not had a chance to visit this location! I’ve used their delivery service a couple of times while on my lunch break in between classes at SAC. The food and service has been consistently good, with only a few minor gripes. If I’m remembering correctly I’ve ordered the following: Rooster Roll Spicy Tuna Roll Rajun Cajun Roll Bora Bora Roll Edamame Combo yakisoba noodles Chicken udon noodles Chicken Yakitori I wasn’t really wowed with the yakitori or the yakisoba noodles. They tasted fine, just not what I was expecting. All of the rolls I listed plus the udon noodles have been fabulous, however! I really enjoyed the chicken udon noodles, rooster roll, and bora bora roll the most. My only gripes have been that on my second time ordering food, the delivery was almost an hour later than requested. I wasn’t super upset about it, but it was slightly annoying as I waited outside one of the campus buildings in the cold for far longer than expected, but that’s partially my fault. The delivery man, Roger(I believe that’s his name!) has been really kind each time he’s delivered my food! The other gripe I have is that I’ve received different items than what I ordered. On my first order, I received the wrong noodles, and didn’t realize it until my second order when I looked at my them and went«gee, these are a lot different than the last time…». Despite this, I ate the food and enjoyed it. All in all, I’ve had pretty good experiences with the downtown Sushi Zushi, and I do plan to order again in the future!

We went there with 4 vegetarians and they have a decent selection of veg sushi options. One member of our party had a chicken teppanyaki dish that was just ok but that is kind of to be expected since most sushi places don’t necessarily do other types of japanese food well. The Vegetable Tempura was adequate but nothing special. However, the rolls were quite good(spicy tofu, vegetable maki, and tropical roll) with the exception of the cucumber maki roll was a bit bland. A few of us stayed for desert. The mango sherbet and a fried banana in wonton skin with cinnamon and chocolate sauce. The staff was also quite pleasant even though they were quite busy when we arrived. Overall, a pretty decent meal and much better then what we’ve found so far on our visit down on the Riverwalk. 3.5 stars

AWFULEXPERIENCE! We waited over an hour for our food! Our waitress was super slow and we literally watched every other table leave before us. Sushi was mediocre and not worth the money!

Dinner on a Thursday night. Mainly came in for the sushi since it looked like the best option downtown. Started with a ginger salad which was nice but I did not care for the dressing much. The sushi was better. Had the spy roll, spicy salmon roll and some salmon sashimi. All were not bad but the spy roll was not rolled well and was falling apart in my chopsticks. I also found a large bone in my salmon sashimi. It happens, but takes away from the experience. Overall, I might come back though not necessarily to order any of the particular items I ordered tonight.

Fantastic time at Sushi Zushi! Absolutely loved this place! Can you build a location in Florida please? On a work trip and this place was across the street from my hotel. Perfect location. Always busy, every time I stepped in. I tried the Lincoln Heights roll. Absolutely fantastic. The raw fish is smooth and you can tell it was prepared with care. Avocado was fresh and perfectly added to roll. Throughly enjoyed it. Spicy scallop roll was delicious as well. Would definitely recommend the Lincoln Heights roll over the Spicy Scallop. But still good. Not crazy about the chives in the roll but it was definitely an interesting flavor choice.

This sushi joint was just down from our hotel. And after spending all day at Fiesta Texas, we were looking for something close to the hotel and not on the river walk since we didn’t have a good experience at Casa Rio the night before. I ordered a glass of plum wine which was $ 7. When it came out it was in a champagne glass and I finished it in 3 swallows. When our snarky server asked if I wanted another glass, I said for $ 7 and three swallows no thanks. He said, I apologize, it is a 3 oz serving wine. So beware it you want the plum wine you will only get 3 oz. At my usual sushi restaurants I always get a normal wine glass. This appalled me. The one thing that did impress me was the vegan menu. Although the food was not as impressive. The Japanese curry was flavorful at first but as it cooled off it didn’t taste as good with each bite. I ordered a Panko battered onion on a skewer and it was not very good. My avocado maki rolls were as expected. My boyfriend orders 3 specially rolls — Godzilla roll, Spy, and the Las Vegas roll. He said the Las Vegas roll was the best of the 3 and that this sushi was barely a step up from the rolls you can get at Kroger. OUCH. Because they are wayyyyy more expensive at Zushi Sushi. When Mr. Snarky boxed up our leftovers he mixed my avocado rolls with my boyfriend’s. Since I’m vegan, I couldn’t eat them. I was very disappointed because he knew that from the beginning. $ 70 before tip for dinner for subpar sushi and 3 oz of plum wine and a snarky waiter. Boooooo don’t bother. This was a Monday night. Not sure what the deal was.

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve been here last time. After having to socialize and having to walk up and down the Riverwalk at about a 100 °F it was just the perfect place to cool down, have a couple of cold beers and some great food. For a chain the food is very good and fresh. I liked the impressive flavor of the Tuna Sashimi.

This was a bit of a surprise. My colleague and I took customers to Zushi Sushi for lunch. It wasn’t as easy to find as anticipated. The layout of the restaurant is somewhat like a diner. We were promptly seated and the waiter was there immediately to welcome us and provide great suggestions. After ordering the tofu and seaweed salads, we felt it best to get a nice selection to share. We ordered the Sashimi Sampler and the Emperor Platter. Very well put together and enough to feed a small army. Too much food for just 4 people. You would need at least 6 people to finish unless someone is extremely hungry. We substituted the Riverwalk Sushi for the Tropical. I strongly urge anyone to get the Riverwalk which was excellent. The sashimi we ordered was salmon, octopus, tuna and yellow tail. Very fresh and well prepared.
