We stayed here because we had only 5 hours until our flight left. The room was ok. The free breakfast was a joke. When we came down they had no coffee cups, no coffee in the coffee pot. No milk for the cereal but you could have dry cereal. No rolls. Waffle maker but no waffle mix. There was one guy behind the counter trying to do check outs phone and breakfast bar.

Bed bugs beware! When I arrived at the hotel my room was not ready the bed was unmade, we waited 45 mins for maid service to finish the room. Later that night trying to enjoy and relaxin our get away… I was bit by a bed bug when I called the desk they said they could not give us a refund they could move us rooms. After complaining with the front desk all they could do for us is change our room. Any hotel would have easily accommodated the guest in a situation like this… Please beware bed bugs are serious they can carry infections from one person to another. You can’t get rid of these things over night! I was in room 222

We walk in to our room first thing I notice is a musty smell. The room looks nice and clean, that smell is just horrible. I go to take a shower they give is one little bottle of shampoo ONE! One little trash can. Our microwave was broken and the water pressure was super slow. You figure they would check all this before letting someone else use the room. We complained to the front desk they got it fixed right away so that’s where the two stars come from. Pool had dead bugs and leaves in it. I have stayed in previous hotels where if you forget something you can ask for a complimentary item. Well not here. I forgot a razor so I went to the front desk. They were charging me $ 2 for those super cheap razors… Don’t forget your basic necessities. Wifi sucks it’s super slow. First and last time I ever stay here!

Nasty, nasty, nasty! My girlfriend and I where tired, so we decided to stop here. The room was about 80.00 and the check in counter was really creepy. I guess they close the lobby at night so the staff is behind this piece of thick glass. We pay, get the key, and are told to walk around the corner where we will find a door we can unlock with our key. We find the door, enter the hallway and the carpets are disgusting, the ceiling is falling down and it smells musty. Our room is the first room in the hall. We enter and the first thing we see when we turn on the light are flies and roaches scattering :(room fells gross and dingy, so we leave immediately. Back at the glass window we are told that normally they do not give refunds but since we were only a few minutes the will, however they cannot give me a receipt for the refund. Will I ever see my money again? I became a Unilocal member just to complain about this place, how can I leave 0 stars?

After having a horrible experience at a nearby Motel 6 I stayed here instead. The bed was clean and so was the room and everything. I loved the breakfast in the morning. Very good and filling. Decent WIFI and good cable TV. Nice maids and owner. I had a pleasant stay and will go back. You also get a nice view of the airport; don’t worry it’s not loud.

You get what you pay for. The rate was very reasonable. The location is convenient to the airport, but forlorn if you are looking for anything else. Internet was included. The breakfast featured only grain-based items, with no fruit, eggs or anything other than make-your-own pancakes, cereal and muffins. Weak coffee. The ironing board in the room had no pad on it. No shampoo included in the bathroom, so bring your own. There is a shuttle to the airport that is convenient if you are going there.

I decided to stay at this location while on my trip to San Antonio because it was a midpoint to some of the places I planned on visiting and more importantly, it was affordable. Located near the Airport and just north of North Star Mall, there were many awesome places nearby and the room I had booked was at a very good price. They offered your basic amenities, although, I didn’t get to take advantage of all of them. The breakfast was a little too early for me but that didn’t matter since I wanted to try the local food instead. For the price I paid, I think I got my money’s worth. The staff was helpful when we first booked our hotel and even let us upgrade to a room upstairs for no extra charge. Our room was clean and room service had our room cleaned before we were back at night. They did skip our room one day, however, that wasn’t much of an issue since we were checking out the very next day. They have a pool outside which is a plus but, due to the cold weather, we were not able to use it. Our room was very spacious and the television had all the good channels minus HBO. Overall, I think I got my money’s worth. The staff answered any questions we had and was quick to resolve any problems. The location was decent with many great restaurants nearby. Airplanes do occasionally fly by so you may be able to hear a faint noise in the distance but you can’t hear it while sleeping so there are no worries. If you’re looking for a decent, yet affordable place to stay, Super 8 Motel is a great option.
