If this is the Starbucks on Guilbeau and Bandera Rd, then I can proceed. I went there on Saturday morning, Jan. 9. I go there because it is convenient BUT the lack of friendliness and good customer service is beginning to wear on me. It is rare if someone at the counter gives a rat’s ass when I place my order. The person at the register just looked at me without a word. There was no «Good morning. How are you? What can I do for you today?» etc… Given the price of their products you would think that a customer would at least merit a damn«hello». I’ve had enough of their apathy and lackluster customer service that I will go elsewhere. It’s disheartening to go to an establishment that is well known BUT provides LOUSY customer service. Hopefully, I can find Starbucks personnel at another location that gives a shit or at least do a great job of pretending.

Worst Starbucks EVER! Screwed up my coffee order & sandwich was old. Barista could’ve cared less if he got the drinks right & basically snarled at me when I asked if my coffee was a triple shot since it tasted like warm milk. Don’t give this location your business unless you’re interested in throwing your money away. Worst experience ever!

There’s nothing better than a neighborhood coffee house, and this Starbucks is just a couple of miles from my house! Just like Cheers, everyone«knows your name» here. If you are a regular, the baristas will soon know exactly how you like your favorite drink. It’s a neighborhood meeting place, where friends meet up, students bring their laptops to take advantage of the free WiFi, and literary types can be seen immersed in their favorite book while enjoying a fresh brew.

I wanted to clarify something for future visitors… this Starbucks doesn’t have a drive-thru as another review stated. Furthermore, this location is actually rather speedy; on top of being very friendly, the current staff handles peak-hour crowds very well. Lastly, seating — although lacking at times — is comfortable and spread throughout the entire store, not just clumped into a corner or two. There is abundant outdoor seating as well.

Service is ok. Drive thru is terrible backs up traffic so you can’t even get in the parking lot to park. Inside is good with lots of space. But… the coffee… HORRIBLE! It is always bitter. Order the same thing at any other Starbucks — fine. This one ALWAYSBITTER. Either their equipment is not working right or their baristas don’t know what they are doing. There is huge turnover in staff so maybe they just aren’t trained correctly. My advice — AVOIDITUNLESSYOUJUSTHAVETOGOHERE!

Great and fast service! Great baristas! My drink was made perfectly as usual. If you don’t already have the Starbucks app, get it! So many perks come with that and if you’re a frequent visitor, it will come in handy quick with point accumulation for free drinks and discounts!

I was on a run on getting a San Antonio«You are here collection» coffee mug and saw this Starbucks on my way back to my relatives house. I park and walk in and see a light crowd there and two people working. I scan their coffee mugs but turns out they were all out. I then decide to get a iced black tea and a cookie. I order and pay using my iPhone and wait for my tea. Since only two people were manning the place it took a bit longer. However others were waiting for their drinks and many also ordered iced tea. One drink was put out and a man who could not speak English well grabbed it, inserted a straw and then realized it was not his. Great, now my wait was longer where they had to remake it for the right customer. And finally my drink was ready and with my cookie in hand I left. The tea was good as usual and the chocolate cookie tasted very good too.

I live close to this location. But, I will drive a little further for better service. On a Sunday they will have the slowest person working the register. You have to tell her your order 3 times. I even tell it to her slowly. She always seems flustered and it’s always her on Sunday. If I see her I turn around and walk out to go to another starbucks(the line is usually so long). Aside from that I have had my food burned there. I had to tell them it was burning from the smell. The person actually making the coffee is pretty darn great. Which is why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. My coffee always tastes great. I have seen an employee once make fun of someone who was blind. Their see and eye dog who was quietly sitting aside it’s blind owner scared a grown man who entered the establishment. The man was embarrassed so he flipped out. Instead of the employee defending the blind man, she said colorful things about him and sided with the scaredy cat grown man. The coffee is good. Everything else sucks.

I have always been a fan of Starbucks! However, the past few months the Starbucks in Boerne has had such poor customer service I’m reluctant to return. The service is slow, they don’t even try to be friendly anymore. I’d drive over to Leon Springs before I continue to be treated the way this Starbucks is being run. It used to be great… sad it’s changed so much!

It’s a typical Starbucks. The menu items are somewhat consistent with other Starbucks. However, the one thing that draws me to return to a particular location over any other is the staff. Need some work on consistence of staff and how they engage their customers. This location is the closest to my home so it is my quick stop in location. However, during the time that I want to sit and enjoy the culture that Starbucks is known for I travel a few miles up the road past a couple other Starbucks to a location that does this. So, if you enjoy a quick stop location this maybe your place, but if you want more(and who shouldn’t for the cost) travel a little further and experience others until the one that suits you.

I had been a customer of this location from its grand opening in 2001– February 2013 with an average of 345 visits per year. During 2012 and the beginning of 2013 it seemed I was paying for better customer service, and management than i feel i was getting or could be expecting. i now feel that since I have not been back since February I am no longer going to hold their past up for a new customer to see. My last review noted progress, and the promise of new management. The three star rating is what I left them with in February, but the accounts of incidents of employees current and former are poured down the drain.

Yes, I’m really reviewing a Starbuck’s. It really doesn’t matter which one, because everything you get at any location will be identical to the others. I love that standardization. Anyway, my main reason for reviewing is that I recently found out about the«Starbuck’s Rewards,» which may or may not be a new thing to fellow Unilocal-ers. I tend to find out about things a bit later than others… Basically, you buy a gift card and you can go online to register/re-load it and the more you use that card, the more perks you earn. Like free syrups and milk upgrades, and discounts on food. And after a certain point, they mail you a gold card and you start earning free coffee! How awesome is that??? And even though it’s a chain, I always get friendly service and the coffee always gives me a great boost for the day.

This is my «homebase» Starbucks. The barristas are wonderful. Before I even get to the counter, my venti Pike is ready for me. Unlike the previous reviewer, I enjoy the eclectic mix of music and find nothing lame about it. Wait… Dang… My foot hurts. I guess I am lame. What do I know?

In the San Antonio area for a quick honeymoon, our quest for caffeine and wireless Internet(so we could see all the wedding photos friends had posted to Facebook) brought us to the illustrious Bandera Road Starbucks. Starbucks is utterly lame in every way. I remember visiting Seattle in 1993, seeing one on every corner and thinking, «Gosh, I’m glad my hometown has so many cool, local coffee shops instead of this crap.» Fast-forward nearly two decades and, alas, Starbucks now stands alongside McDonalds on every street corner in America, even in my hometown. Whenever some idiot orders a «frappucinno»(whatever that is) at my coffee shop, it’s all I can do to stop myself from splashing his or her face with scalding espresso. But I’ll be fair with this review, since(as I said) we were in search of stimulation and Internets, and we got both. Starting with zero stars, this Starbucks gets: +2 stars for having decent drinks, decent prices, and nice kids behind the counter +2 stars for being where we were(convenient) +2 stars for being clean and fairly easy to get in and out of +2 stars for having the wireless connection we craved –1 star for having the ambiance of a Presbyterian museum, with music to match –2 stars for the fat evangelist who kept bothering us. –3 stars for charging $ 3.99 to use the Internet. NOCOFFEESHOPIN2010CHARGESFORWIRELESSINTERNET. Which is one reason Starbucks isn’t a coffee shop. It’s a tiny Wal-Mart for tiny-Wal-mart minds.
