This used to be the best gym in SA. But now it’s old and run down. Much of the equipment doesn’t work very well. Many of the TV’s have poor pictures. The men’s jacuzzi was down for three weeks. Gold’s corporate office would not approve the $ 1,000 needed to fix the Jacuzzi. How water was out twice in the last few months. In one case it was out for three days. The men’s dressing room is dirty. I can’t believe some of the men go barefoot on those floors. Management is unresponsive to member comments. For a few dollars more, you are much better off at Lifetime Fitness.

Extremely nice gym, came here with my brother in-law. There was no wait time at any workout machines, which was great. however there were not many people and when I went to the bball court there was about 3 other people just shooting around. It would be nice if more people went here that way I can run a game or two of pick-up.

This is not a kid friendly gym. They have a two hour limit for kids so parents cannot take a one hour class in the morning and one hour class in the afternoon because taking an additional 15 to 20 minutes for showering does not fit in to the 2 hour limit. Additionally, the Kids Club workers are most often not focused on the kids they just sit around talking about their personal lives. It could be an opportunity to engage the kids in activities but they look like they don’t enjoy their jobs. They also make the kids clean up the Kids Club at the end of the instead of the employees tidying up. You are paying them to make your kids do their jobs.

I have had nothing but good experiences while at this gym. I know Gold Gym just bought them out & I hope the maintain the same level. That is why we paid extra… otherwise I can spend $ 19.99 too!

The cardio groove class was so much fun! Athletic Interval kicked my butt, but it was awesome. Definitely a nice facility. Classes were full but not overly crowded. Love the smoothies at the café. P. S. the athletic interval instructor was 4 months pregnant and totally kicking my butt! If that doesn’t inspire you to work you, I don’t know what will!

I like this location because Joslyn’s Cardio Groove class is awesome! Garyon’s Saturday Cardio Groove class is good too. However, he did not show up last Saturday and no staff members bothered to come upstairs and let us know. We waited for 10 minutes until someone finally went downstairs to check on him. They said it rarely happens and they’d been calling several times but couldn’t reach him. I find this very unprofessional of the teacher and gym. He should have found a sub or notified the gym as soon as possible. The staff should have come upstairs to notify us of the problem. Also, this location is cougar central. A lot of the people who go to this location like to show off their cars and bodies… lol

Spectrum Athletic Club at Rogers Ranch is one of a handful of Spectrum locations in San Antonio, and this particular location is considered the premium of all their facilities in town. This facility is airy and spacious, and offers something to accommodate everyone. Whether you are here for a quick cardio session, weight-lifting, swimming, aerobic or yoga and pilates classes(including Pilates reformer equipment), or spa services, Spectrum Rogers Ranch has it all. Although I don’t live in the area, I chose the Platinum membership, which is the only membership to allow access to the Rogers Ranch location. I don’t regret it one bit– though I frequent other Spectrum locations, I’ve visited this location a handful of times already, and have even partaken in their massage services. The Swedish massage I received here was wonderfully relaxing, despite the audible thump-thumps from the class upstairs. Also, due to its large size, I have never had a problem finding an elliptical machine, treadmill, or stationary bike. The weight-lifting area is also pretty big, though I don’t spend as much time there as I should. Let me take a second to talk about the locker rooms: these are hands-down the fanciest gym locker rooms ever. Both a whirlpool spa and steam room are available to enjoy, and not only do they provide you with amenities like bath and hair products, but they also have styling products(CHI hair straighteners! really!) available for use. Love it. Finally, the staff at Spectrum Rogers Ranch is friendly and accommodating. It’s the details like these that keep me coming back to this location. Keep it up, Spectrum!
