This guy is going to kill somebody. Had my bike here twice. First time was to replace a clutch that was slipping. Dude gave it back and everything seemed okay. Several times later that week the clutch would just completely lock up while riding and could not be pulled back at all. I would have had better luck trying to squeeze blood from a stone. Took it back to him and he kept it for a week before telling me nothing was wrong with it. Over the next week it happened several more times, even on the highway at 70MPH. Thank God I didn’t have to use my breaks. Luckily my bike is one of the rare newer ones that lets you shift without the clutch if the RPMs are right. Took it back AGAIN and he finally fixed it after another week. Not only was I out of a bike an extra week, when this guy is done he calls about twenty times a day telling you he needs the bike out of his shop ASAP. If you don’t answer, expect a dozen messages every day. The guys shop is packed full of his old bikes to the point of looking like a hoarders episode and he has no room for more than one or two bikes to work on at a time. This is especially strange since he can never be seen actually riding one. He rides a scooter. Second time I took the bike in was for a tire change. Simple enough, right? That’s about as easy as it gets for a mechanic. He STILL managed to screw it up! He bought a tire that was just slightly too wide. One of the nuts from the front fender was rubbing against the tire. I noticed it was making a weird sounds when I test drove it off his lot, but couldn’t figure out what it was and knew if I brought it up he’d tell me it was nothing. Finally half way home I pulled over to look again an noticed a groove had been rubbed into the sidewall of my tire from where the bolt was touching it. The friction of this made the tire so hot I’m amazed it didn’t explode. I ended up having to fabricate an extension to raise the front fender to stop this– something well beyond the abilities of most people. And the best part of it all? He charges $ 75/hr– the same rate as the Honda DEALERSHIP! Pro prices for dipshit work that’s going to kill someone. Avoid this turd of a mechanic at all costs!
