My wife and I went here looking for a pistol, or at least some information about one. She’s looking for something to shoot at a range. Nonetheless, we ended up browsing their selection for a few minutes. It wasn’t until about 15 – 20 minutes went by that I began to realize we were being actively avoided. We then began overhearing a rather sexist and ignorant conversation between a couple of associates that apparently trumped serving us. Something about how all women in the Army should just be nurses. This was my final straw. We left. Since I’ve been in San Antonio this is probably the most ignorance and racism I’ve experienced. Welcome to the south I guess…

A gem. A real gem. Here in South Texas, we appreciate fine leather work. This store embodies that with a beautiful selection of locally-handmade leather goods. Everything from keychains to coolers. Yes. Leather coolers. Exceptional. I can see this would be a fantastic place to buy a gift. They can stamp almost any of their products with almost any logo or initials. They have book covers, bags, purses, suitcases… you name it. And the service is absolutely exceptional. I walked in to this location on a whim. I didn’t need anything, I just wanted to see what was inside. The person behind the counter was warm, friendly, and super informative. She took the time to show me around the store, talk about the leather(made right here in South Texas, btw) and offer great details on personalizing their goods for gifts or for yourself! And the prices are great! Normally when you’re talking about handmade anything, you’re not talking about affordable. Here, it’s quite different. You can find different items in different price points to meet all your leather-needs!

No, there are not a bunch of saddles lying around in here. This is, however, a leather lover’s paradise. Anything you can possibly imagine, in leather, is here. Leather coasters? Check. Leather revolver pistol case? Check. Leather leather? Just kidding, but not really. PETA, welcome to South Texas. Anyway, there are clothes here, too, but definitely not for me. Maybe for an older crowd? In the new Quarry expansion area, this shop kinda sticks out among the chic boutiques and fro yo shops. Different.
