Costume jewelry up the ying yang — the place is a definite chick magnet. Parking is terrible. Husbands, boyfriends, brothers, and sons are usually left waiting outside. Sort of a funny scene if you really think about it. The prices are meh — I bought some nice scarves for my co-workers and bff and paid about 10 – 15 for each.

I saw so many sparkly things in here that I wanted to buy! It varies in quality, mostly cheap stuff but at least the prices reflect that. I had a ton of fun wandering through here. The employees were moderately friendly as well. I would definitely return.

It is a great place to find cheap but nice and gaudy jewelry, basically anything and everything you can imagine. I have shopped here for many years and still love buying stuff. Many things are ‘hit’ or ‘misses’ and I say that only because I have bought pieces of jewelry that have fell apart within hours of first-time wear, but then again I have bought pieces that are still intact to this day and look just as beautiful as it did when I first purchased it. If you are looking for a certain piece of jewelry but do not feel like paying out-of-this-world prices at other department stores, look no further and just come here, chances are you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for and for a great deal. I agree with another Unilocaler that basically you are ‘on your own’ when coming here. I’m not even sure if they greet you when you walk in the door, but I frankly don’t care, I’m there for myself, not for them. Many times I do not receive ‘help’, which can be a good thing when you are the type of person that doesn’t want to be bothered, just like me :) I think they are closed on Sundays, which is the only reason I did not give that 5th star, I wish they would open on Sundays.

Prepare yourself for jewlery overload(in a bag). I find myself very overwelmed by stores like this but they are so very helpful! It’s almost impossible to not find something that meets your budget or needs.

The next time you’re in the market for very inexpensive costume jewelry, you have to try Serendipity. This is one of those hard to find places that are worth the look. You’ll locate it on San Pedro in a white building on a strip of other equally unnoticeable, but actually cool places. Once inside, expect to find rows upon rows of extremely cheap costume jewelry. We’re talking $.99-$ 9.99max. One time I splurged on a necklace bc it had some real rocks — total price $ 17.99 and that was astronomical here! A lot of the selection is super cute. Some of it is super not cute, but there’s so much to choose from, you’re bound to find something to suit your style! Three stars instead of four because service is next to horrible. You really have to be in the mood to search on your own and not expect too much help. At all. Even when you wait in line for 10 minutes to ask about a particular style(as I did). Also, notably lacking is the quality in the pieces. You get what you pay for. Most of the necklaces and bracelets I’ve purchased here have a lifetime of only a couple of wears. But, if you paid $ 6 for a necklace and you wear it 6 times before it breaks, you’re averaging $ 1/night out. Decent odds. And that’s what keeps me coming back. I don’t expect super high quality but I enjoy being able to mix and match my jewelry wardrobe on a very low budget whenever the wind moves me to switch things up!

Inexpensive, very large selection, and just about every style imaginable. That’s Serendipity. Did I mention their product? Ooops! This is the spot for jewelry, purses and accessories. Now personally I favor the jewelry over the purse selection but I know a lot of people who love what they have to offer, in that respect. The prices are very reasonable and you can find what you need for just about any occasion. There are selections for everyday where, «dress-up», costume jewelry and everything else. One of my favorite set of earrings I have I bought there for $ 2 and a great necklace for $ 12. If you are looking or even if you are not, this is a fun place to spend an afternoon and if you have tweens or teens(I’ve taken my god daughter) they will love this place and it won’t break the bank.

I’ve gone to Serendipity a few times when i was searching for some accessories that wouldn’t require me to give up my first born. This is definitely the place. The place is pretty large for an accessories store so be prepared to spend a good amount of time in there. They have a large variety of jewelry lining the walls which is a lot of fun. They’re sectioned off between styles and colors so it makes it a lot easier to go to whatever you need. They also have higher priced jewelry in glass cases in the back of the store so if you can’t find anything on the walls be sure to check those out. They also carry handbags which is great because if you’re into matching your accessories you wont have to go all over town. Definitely check out Serendipity for some cute accessories that wont break your bank.
