I have been to this restaurant a few times with my boss and coworkers as it is close to the Medical Center. This last time I visited with my best friend. It’s not really very big so the atmosphere, to me, is very relaxing. We each had a plate from the lunch menu which comes with the daily soup and a spring roll. I feel it was very reasonably priced. The soup was really good and the spring roll was crisp and flavorful. I had the pepper steak and asked for it medium spicy, and for me that was perfect(I think the Thai spicy would have left blisters on my tongue ;-)). The staff was nice, the food was great. I would definitely come back. If you can’t make it in to the restaurant, order delivery for $ 5 and a minimum $ 15 purchase. They take credit cards.

Absolutely amazing food. Stopped in for quick lunch and had the pad SE ew and the green curry chicken. Both outstanding. Also pleasantly surprised with the nice setting, even though in strip mall. Sarika is also an involved owner, out taking orders and talking to customers, just good to see. Food speaks for itself, and there were plenty of others eating so apparently others are in on this place too.

I was really impressed by the customer services at Sarika’s. We were immediately made to feel at home by the manager and staff all of whom seemed genuinely happy to be at work on New Year’s Day. We were very happy with our appetizers– summer rolls and wonton soup. The summer rolls came with this amazing peanut/coconut sauce and were very refreshing. The wonton soup was fresh and flavorful with more goodies(veggies and chicken) than your typical broth and wonton variety. However, we were rather underwhelmed by our entrees– chicken pad King and the first shrimp speciality(can’t remember name) — just not the flavors we expected. We will definitely be back to try something else. Also, manager was kind enough to honor an old coupon I had for the old location on medical drive– definite bonus point in my book!

Good for lunch! Dinner is a bit too slow, the wok seems to be not as hot as for lunch. Great Tofu Pad-Thai and the hot and sour soup is wonderful.

My latest lunch was pricey at $ 12.95, but plentiful. I had Red Curry with Shrimp. It was piping hot. The pineapple pieces in it were a little jarring. Nice atmosphere in general. Convenient and pretty fast. The little spring roll served with my meal was delicious!

I’ve been going to Sarika’s for a few years now. I am almost always satisfied. The food is very fresh and served piping hot. I usually order the chinese. Something like mongolian beef. The fried rice leaves a little to be desired. But the sauce, the meat, and veggies are really nice. I’ve tried the thai dishes as well such as the pad thai and red curry. They were very delicious and much better then the other Thai restaurants I’ve tried in the city. Customer service is absolutely excellent. Sarika is so kind and sweet and her employees are the same. I only took off one star because it’s kind of pricey if you don’t get there before the lunch hour closes and the portions are slightly smaller then what I’m used to. But I suppose in regards to our obesity epidemic, portion control would be a good thing.

3 stars!!! I am so saddened by this. Sarika’s has become one of my favorite places! I have to admit the dinner prices are very pricey($ 15 per person). I always go during lunch though. I absolutely love the pad thai. I think it’s fantastic and I love the sauces served along with it. The service is always good when I deliver, pick-up, or sit-in. This place deserves at least 5 stars!

I am no expert in Thai food, but I’ve eaten at several places over the years, in and out of San Antonio. This was the worst. The place is clean, very nice décor, and the service is friendly. Those are the only things good about it. It was overpriced and the food was nowhere near the quality or spice level one would expect from a Thai place of that price point and décor. I requested the«Thai spicy» spice level, but it was so bland as to be nearly tasteless. There’s a Thai place just a block or two down the road that is light years ahead in quality and much better prices, go there.

So we came here a few days ago because my mom and my friend were craving for Thai food. First impression is the restaurant is clean and nice decorated. Staff was nice and friendly. I am a big sushi fan so I tried some Nigiri sushi(fish over rice) and one roll. My mom and friend got Pad Thai and Thai Chicken fried rice. The Nigiri sushi was horrible. I am a big fan of sushi so I know how fresh fish tastes like. My mom and friend’s food was very tasty. BUT, as soon as we finished, my mom’s stomach started to hurt. Same as my friend’s. I had to take them home right after. So my recommendation is NOT to come here. People there are really nice but the food was not. I really want to give them more than one star but not fresh food is really intolerable.

This review includes Sarika’s as a whole and includes experiences from the recently closed medical center location. Unfortunately on my visit Unilocal was down for maintenance and I could not check in, so this review may be deleted. Over the years Sarika’s has become way too expensive for what you get. There are many places that offer the same quality and taste(if not better) for a less expensive experience. This location did not offer crab fried rice, which I used to get from the medical center location. The food wasn’t terrible but it cost over $ 50 for just 2 people, about $ 20 more than I should have paid. This is coming from someone who normally doesn’t care too much about how much things cost as long as it’s good, it just wasn’t worth it to me.

I stumbled upon this place by accident since it was so dark outside I couldn’t find the other Thai restaurant I was looking for. I have read some of the reviews, so, I cannot say I totally understand them because I had a really great experience at this restaurant. First, the restaurant is nicely appointed, and let’s be honest folks, when it comes to Thai restaurants and décor, well, you are usually given a choice between the extreme minimalistic to an awful gold painted Buddha placed somewhere or everywhere in the restaurant. Sarika’s is downright elegant. The servers are nicely dressed, and my server provided excellent service as well. The white walls appointed with tasteful art and décor, the dark tables, and wine rack suggest an air of sophistication. Now my food was out of this world. The Summer Rolls are the best I have ever had, and I have eaten in a lot of Thai restaurants in the Houston, Dallas, and Austin areas. People complained about the Pad Thai, and I just don’t see it. All of my food was extremely fresh, and pleasantly not greasy in the least. My friend and I commented how much we liked this place. As mentioned, the wine and beer prices are quite affordable compared to most places, and added star earned here, somehow my taste buds get affected when the glass of wine offering starts at $ 9 a glass. I believe I paid $ 5.50 for a good Pinot Noir. Hell, I must have liked the first one, I had two more after it! Sarika’s is a great addition to the Medical Area. The area has been challenged with the need for some new or updated restaurants. Sarika’s is good place to start, especially if you are looking for a place in the Med area to take a date.

So, i ordered my food, i specifically order no spices because i can’t eat spicy food. My food came and i couldn’t eat it at all because it was spicy, the chef argued with me saying that she only put one or two chilly peppers, and said, its not that spicy(even though i made it clear that i didn’t want any spices at all). So Im not sure how to make of it. Anyways, i know I’m not going back because they didn’t follow instructions on my food preferences :( and they’re pricey for such small portions.

I came here once before and it wasn’t bad but it must’ve gone downhill. The pad Thai was very bland. The chicken tasted like it had just be boiled and tossed into the mix, no flavor at all. My mother got the sesame chicken with fried rice. It was almost $ 9 for a lunch plate. Pretty pricey. The fried rice just tasted like regular brown rice and the chicken was overly sweet like sweet and sour chicken. I wish I could say the service was better but that was not the case. Took a while to flag her down and she never came back to check on us. I will say this. The place is clean. Looks new and when the waitress did come around she was very nice. Probably won’t be coming back though…

This place has much better ambiance and décor compared to most Thai places and the service was good. That’s the best I can say about it. I LOVE Tom Kha soup. This was one of the WORST I’ve had. I order it everywhere and it’s a barometer for me on a Thai restaurant. It didn’t taste bad. But it was bland watery, coconut milk with some green onion sprinkled on top. No lime flavor. No chicken broth flavor. No spice. I get the feeling they didn’t have any stock prepared and threw this together hastily. But the lime? I would’ve preferred they tell me it’s not available. I also ordered Pad Kra Pao w/chicken. The standard Thai staple that any restaurant can be measured by. It’s simple yet has a wonderful combinations of flavors when done right. It wasn’t bad but was also bland. The exception to the bland flavor was that the basil herbs were barely cooked into the dish so as to be too bright green with any one bite that had a leaf but the flavor had not blended into the dish. I think it might have been thrown in after the cooking heat had left the rest of the dish. I didn’t detect any garlic flavor or bits. No reason to go back for me. Thai Topaz is two blocks down the road, has good food, and is cheaper. I recommend you go there instead.

Great food, fast service. Sweet people who work here. Very clean. I love this place! I get takeout from Sarika’s frequently and it’s always delicious. They have generous portions. Sarika’s is awesome.

Staff is sweet… service was mid tier. But for Thai i have had better. The food didn’t seem fresh… Summer rolls tasted like perhaps the veggies weren’t washed properly, the curry was kinda funky(asked for not spicy but got Very spicy… jalapeño chunks and all), the pad thai was actually pretty good although really sweet… would have been better if wasn’t as sweet! Didn’t try any sushi but may give it one more shot and thats a big MAYBE!
