Attentive Spanish speaking mamacitas keep your coffee cup full, hot food cooked and brought to the table with love, plates cleared timely. Glad we happened upon Santos. We will be back when in the neighborhood of castle hills. I had the Super Ranchero plate with a healthy helping of carne guisada for a mere 99 cents extra. Great big girl breakfast!

Santos Quesadilla plate is one of my standby favorites. I’ve never been disappointed stopping in here for lunch or dinner. Their portions are decent and the price decent as well, and you get good quality. As noted it is a little bright inside, but that’s ok. I like that better than some dimly lit cluttered place.

These are the best breakfast tacos I’ve had yet. The tortillas are thick and soft and the chorizo, bean, and cheese is mouth watering… literally, my mouth is watering right now. Red and green sauce is a must! Don’t forget to get some lemonade.

No one speaks english and the food is authentic and delicious. If you can get past the eye watering orange paint inside you’re going to be one happy camper.

New side of town means having to find a new place to get my breakfast taco on, the seach begins! One of my first qualms about moving«far» from my comfort zone was, where the heck am I supposed to find good menudo on freakin’ Blanco Rd? Turns out if I drive just a few miles inward from 410, there are plenty of taquerias to choose from. First up, Santos Café. Set-up is usual taqueria-style, down-home, nothing fancy. Ordered some tacos and while the tortilla was hot and fluffy, the guts of the tacos were. eh. The menudo was the highlight, lots of pozole, decent portions of add-ins but could use a little more spices. Still on the hunt for a new place, but Santos Café is going to be my fall back taqueria for now!
