Without even asking whether or not my dog is a service dog one of the people came up to me and asked me to leave, he was nice and clearly didn’t understand why I brought her so this review isn’t towards him. I understand that he was doing what his boss asked him to but the reason I write my review and left without question is because of the woman that owns the park who snidely remarked(before I had a chance to explain) «there are clearly signs saying no dogs» as she scoffed at me and couldn’t even look at me as she said it. smh. The entrance I came through had a sign that says it allows ADA dogs. Not all ADA dogs come in the same shapes & sizes and wear vests because not all people want their disabilities known. I am also not required to show you identification. A lot of illnesses that ADA dogs are used for are not obvious so maybe you should read a little more about which questions you are allowed to ask me when I bring my dog into your facility before being so blatantly disrespectful.

During the spring and fall soccer seasons I am here every weekend. My daughter has been playing for over a year now and her organization has their games here every Saturday. The complex itself is pretty big and nicely landscaped. They do have restrooms here and a sitting section where tables are available but all are in the little courtyard near the restrooms.(I have never visited the restrooms so I can comment on their cleanliness or anything like that.) As a side note though there are no bleachers or chairs near the fields for observers. So if you don’t want to watch the games standing then I suggest you bring a nice blanket to lay on the floor or being your own chairs to sit on. My daughters first season playing we struggled with holding a 4 year olds hand, holding her soccer ball, holding her/my chair and trying to make it to the field all while the husband was attempting to park. But by the second season we bought a little foldable wagon and would just throw everyone’s chairs in there along with the soccer stuff and my princess. No longer had to make it through a crowded parking lot holding my toddlers hand. Oh yeah… Did I mention the parking lot is packed? Sometimes it gets so full that people have no choice but to park at heroes stadium. Try to make your soccer games At least 15 minutes earlier than the practice time just so you can have enough time to walk from the parking lot to the fields.

This soccer complex is great. They have lots of fields with good lighting and green grass. The only down side is they don’t have benches or bleachers so there is nowhere to sit as a player or as a spectator.

My sweetie plays soccer all over town, so I’m reviewing this complex as a spectator only. This place is wonderful. The complex is large with plentiful parking(also, no dirt roads… yeah!). The fields are always well maintained and green with little grassy roots to twist ankles on. The bathrooms are always clean, also.

The best soccer fields available in south texas. Benefits go towards running morgan’s wonderland which is an amazing cause. Parking can be a hassle depending on the number of games being played.

I feel like it is almost tradition in San Antonio to play soccer on rock studded fields, where grass is a luxury. I’m not big on tradition anyway, so I was thrilled when I heard about STAR Soccer Complex. The space has 13 beautiful, green soccer fields with ample lighting for each. Some pretty cool things about STAR to note: –The grass is irrigated using water from an on property reservoir. None of the water used comes from the Edwards Aquifer! –All the proceeds from STAR go to Morgan’s Wonderland. an awesome park designed specifically for children with special needs.
