this place has everything. I could have spent an hour on there just looking at the candy. So many different types of candy and soda. we ended up trying the dr pepper twizler type things. as it was okay, didn’t really taste like dr pepper. I also got some sort of vanilla crème soda which was delicious! We were walking past this on the way to the Alamo. if i am ever in san Antonio again, i would stop by.

Awesome little boutique candy shop in downtown San Antonio. They have just about everything you would need to shoot your blood glucose into space!(see what I did there) I was in town for a few days with family in October and my nephews wanted to come here. They are 10 and 12 years old, so still excitable and young enough for a jaunt to the candy store. From bulk taffy, to all kinds of gummy candy, to chocolates, to obscure brands, to foreign candies, you’ll find just about anything to satisfy any sweet tooth. There’s even a wall of refrigerators for specialty sodas. My nephews went crazy for all the novelty labels and crazy flavors, and I was able to pick out a New York Seltzer Root Beer, which I hadn’t had in YEARS! They also have tons of retro tin signs hanging all over the shop, so it adds to the charm and nostalgia of another, simpler time. A few weird/new to me things I bought for the hubby/myself were: Coconut Long Boys(a coconut-caramel thing), some Satellite wafers, Bun chocolate candies, Broadway strawberry rolls, Choward’s Violet candies. We are slowly going through it all. Some nice touches: they discount sodas if you buy more, and will put them in cardboard carriers they’ve recycled. Also, they have free cute stickers at the cash register for a nice little souvenir. I would definitely go back for some cute, kitschy, sweet gifts!

Wondering around downtown San Antonio my interest was piqued at this candy shop as I was hoping to find vintage candies from when I grew up. They had a huge assortment of bulk salt water taffy, bottle caps, unique sodas, novelty items, candies I haven’t seen in forever like wafers with the sugar powder in them and my favorite New York Seltzer Company Soda’s that I didn’t even know they still made. The prices are a little on the high side for candy but, this is a boutique candy store and not a convenient store. The store itself was very clean and organized.

Looked really great from the outside but they have changed their hours to closing at 7:30 – we got there at 7:40 per the Unilocal hours and our grandson was crushed When you deal with tourists, this type of information is very important.

I felt like a kid in a candy store! This place is stocked full of hundreds of weird sodas. They’ve got creamed corn soda, bacon flavored cola and other unimaginable flavors. You’ll never get tired of all the sodas here. This really isn’t the place to come for a Coca-Cola. You come here for the champagne of sodas, like Rowdy Roddy Piper’s All outta Bubblegum soda. Their candy selection is top notch. They’ve got everything. I tried some of this Australian candy that was mindblowing. Us Americans have a ways to go when it comes to the world chocolate game. This place has a degree of retro to it, with a throwback to the days of yore. I don’t quite understand what James Dean has to do with candy, but I don’t ask too many questions. I love the feeling coming out of this place. Shaking from all the sugar, bouncing off the walls, running through traffic with pixie stick dust all over my face and fun dip foaming from my mouth.

This is an awesome store. I had seen it on Undercover Boss so when I saw it on my way to the Alamo I had to check it out. They had candy and drinks that I had never seen before or hadn’t seen since I was a kid. The guy that worked there was full of energy and very helpful.

Old timey candy/soda shoppe near the Alamo and Riverwalk. Huge selection of throwback candies and non-traditional flavored sodas. The guy working there is very charismatic and gives great suggestions for places to eat/drink/visit. He definitely makes me want to visit again ;)

GREAT candy shop near the Riverwalk. They had such a variety & the displays were done so well. Lots of taffy choices, huge soda displays, and hard to find sweets. The prices were surprisingly reasonable. Also, the customer service was awesome! The guy working was fun & super nice.

We were walking downtown one day with my family and happened to see this place, At first I wasn’t going to go in… but I did, and I am so glad that I did. It was amazing to see all the crazy cool different types of soda they have! Almost any flavor you can think of(ranch, buffalo wings, corn) some sounded gross but who knows till you try them! I wasn’t brave enough to buy something crazy new like those above but I did get me some RootBeer and the sales associate told me it was going to be the best root beer I have ever had, and i asked him if that was correct and if it was because it was in such a cool bottle. we both laughed and he said no he is serious so I bought one and there is so many different types of candy old and new stuff. We also got some cute little cupcakes bites and some red hot tamales! Yum! I highly recommend this place if you want to see some crazy flavors and explore some new stuff! :)
