Very sad to go here today and discover that they are closing their doors. The owner let me know they will continue to sell via Instagram(?)…we always found super cool items whenever we traveled to San Antonio to shop this store. I truly hope they can continue selling through other means…

I have died and landed in my dream furniture shopping spot! This place is literally the love child of a threesome consisting of I Love Lucy, The Jetsons, and The Brady Bunch. All of their pieces are beautifully re-done and refurbished by the awesome owners, power duo I must add, themselves by their own hands! They have the awesome privilege of seeking mid-century and industrial pieces that need some TLC and truly bring them back to life. This is not your mass market shop and the inventory is very eclectic and has a true turnover. You’ll definitely want to check out this place at least once a month. What makes this place so aca-amazing is how each piece has an individual story that gives it a personality. These are literally conversation starters for your home and you will have people asking you were you purchased them. You’ll be able to fine desks, chairs, couches, dressers, wall art, sculptures, literally anything and everything that will make any space unique. Don’t hesitate on buying something here as they don’t have multiple of the same item in stock. Like I said each piece is unique and re-furbished. I’m still unsure how I feel about letting the Unilocal world know about this place because I’m scared y’all might buy the pieces I might’ve loved if I’m not there… If you have the time make sure to talk to the owners and get the full back story on the pieces that you’re interested in. You’ll gain a sense of appreciation as to how much love, work, time, and effort is put into these pieces. Best part of it all– they’re prices are amazing for what you’re getting. Screw the compressed wood chips furniture this is the real, high-quality, passed down from generation to generation stuff. I immediately fell in love with multiple pieces here and I can’t wait to pick them up. That’s right if you fall in love with something immediately but don’t have the space to take it, just chat with the owners to schedule another day within a few days to get them. They also deliver for a small fee! This is the epitome of a local business who takes pride in their craftsmanship and I’m lucky enough to be one of their patrons. Just make sure to take heed into their hours to make sure that they’re open, luckily that’s what the Unilocal app is for. P. S. If anyone wants to get me a gift here I will seriously love you forever, because I’m that obsessed. Borderline Gone Girl\The Roommate obsessed with this furniture store…(Is that bad?)

Prices were pretty reasonable but very limited selection of furniture. Shop is located on Blanco Rd. near Hildebrand in a little shopping area with several vintage shops.

Retro Haus is a great addition to San Antonio and the Beacon Hill neighborhood it is located in. They have a great selection of mid century modern furniture, décor and art. I also enjoy shopping their vinyl collection and chatting up the shop owners!

I love vintage furniture, and places that sell things I might consider a treasure and someone else might simply throw away. Looking for such a store online, I stumbled across the Retro Haus. Located in an area with tons of antique malls and little shops that sell mostly junk, the Retro Haus stands out with its funky storefront and window décor, and very convenient parking. We got there a bit early but the owner was already in the store and happily opened her doors for us. Walking in my jaw dropped — you can find anything from old 40s and 50s furniture and accessories to mid-century modern clean chic, to 80s neon lettering and vinyl records. Beautiful old desks and cubbies, office chairs, vintage shirts and boots, knickknacks of all kinds and much more. I was in love. The owner is one of the sweetest people I have met so far in San Antonio: friendly, helpful and so fun. She gave us so much advice not only on furniture but also on local eats and restaurants. Even though we did not end up buying anything that day, we will stay in touch and be back on a regular basis. See you soon, Retro Haus.

Found some great art for inside and industrial metal for our garden! Very reasonably priced compared to other shops. Owners are super nice and helpful! Definitely going back soon! Good variety of new art and retro furniture, plus electronics such as radios and stereos.

Absolutely one of the best vintage shops around San Antonio!!! Great finds and a great price$$. The ladies who run the shop are very friendly and kind. Every time I go thrifting Retro Haus is always on my list to stop and shop at. I recommend this place if you’re looking for anything between furniture to nifty novelty items to put on your office decks. They have items that are redone and items to DIY as well.

If only my apartment were within a reasonable driving distance of this place! You can find furniture here, accessories, vintage records, tee shirts, plants, old maps and big random signs. All reasonably priced. What stood out to me was a cool coffee table set all the way in the back of the store — in great shape and not super expensive.

One of the absolute BEST vintage repurposed shops I’ve hit up. Everything from shabby chic, to mid-century modern, and in between. Owner recreates about 75% of the items and has vendors for the rest. In addition to furniture, there’s all sorts of unique accessories to include glasses, vinyl, and wall deco. I’m incredibly happy with the mid century modern table I picked up for less than $ 50! I live so close that the owner graciously offered to drop it off on her way home. Did I mention $ 50?!? Eat that Swedish compressed wood factory that sells awesome meatballs on the side! Make it out here if you have unique taste, don’t need everything to «match» and are looking to support local businesses in the DT area.
