Pretty good food. You don’t feel like you are eating fast food even though it has a drive thru and they bust your order out really quickly. I love the wings, corn casserole and the cilantro dipping sauce. You really get that Caribbean feel when you eat their food.

I decided to stop going to this useless restaurant. First time, the waiter left my food on the cashier’s table for almost 15 minutes with people talking over it. I went there to get my food by myself and demanded for a new plate. This happened on two other occasions. The last time I was there, the useless cashier took my money, gave me a receipt and did not put in my order. I went over to ask what was going on when multiple people who arrived after me already received their meal and were eating, they realized the order was not completely put in. Wasted 25minutes of my life at that good-for-nothing restaurant. I got my money back and went to the Luby’s nearby. With no apologies, they just handed my money over to me. If they are this sloppy in the front, what else are they sloppy in the back that we do not know about?

Chicken quesadilla salad had gritty chicken and no quesadillas, but the salad mix was good. Flame-grilled citrus chicken salad had two nice pieces of very tasty dark meat, but the salad itself was less than impressive. Thankfully, I checked the order before I left because neither salad had dressing, which the staff assured me was«in the bag.» The chipotle ranch dressing was very good. The plantains were overcooked and saturated with oil. The drive-thru window staff had a difficulty paying attention. He finally got it right after the third try. I’ll stick with El Pollo Loco!

WOW, best Mexican/Caribbean chicken I have tasted in a LONGTIME… I will be back. Service was fast, staff helpful, food AWESOME. Reasonable price, 2 guests ate for $ 11.00 and took food home. Excited to taste the Pork n Shrimp…

First time here and went through the drive thur. After checking out the menu, it occurred to me that it kind of reminds me of El Pollo Loco but better here in my opinion. They’re going for a Caribbean feel. I ordered the #1 family order that consists of a whole chicken, plantains, and 4 rolls. I added a side of yellow rice with vegetables. I was able to get a fresh batch of chicken so I waited for about 5 mins. Once I got home, my husband and I were excited to dig in. The chicken was really juicy and full of spices. The plantains were the perfect amount of sweetness. The rolls were soft with a touch of sweetness, but I wish they were warm. They were just soft room temp rolls. They have a interesting menu that also consists of salads, tropical wings, and build your own platters to choose from. I wound definitely head back. I would love to try the tropical wings.

I’d like to give it a better review, but I got incredibly sick for the next day and a half after eating there this time and ordering chicken skewers and plantains. I actually am quite a fan of Pollo Tropical so I’m really hoping this was a fluke. That said, I’m pretty certain it will be a while before I’m brave enough to go there again.

My wife and I stopped by to grab supper there, and what a disaster and mistake that was! The line was backed up quite a bit as the person on the register couldn’t keep up. There was also some type of delay going on in the food prep area. Looked as if the supervisor was giving refunds to disgruntled customers. The tables and salsa bar were very dirty. This was our first visit and definitely our last. We left without ordering.

The food is excellent. The chicken was grilled to perfection, and juicy. I ordered a side of mashed potatoes with gravy, and it was great. The service is fast, and the staff is friendly.

I really liked this place. It’s a great alternative to the regular burger and taco places. Love the different sauces.

So this is my first experience at Pollo and it was drive thru, because you know we got to hurry back to work. So, I ordered a healthy Boneless chicken breast, with yellow rice and black beans. It even comes with a fluffy roll. I must say the guy in the drive thru was awesome and super nice. Needless to say I gave it 5 stars and have only tried one thing on the menu. Food was great. I will definitely be back.

Great food. Went there during lunch, was good enough to go back with my family. The chicken quesadilla wrap combo was great.

The food, or I should say what we got of it, was very good. My wife went through the drive thru and ordered the family chicken meal. It’s a whole chicken with rice and beans and rolls. When she got home all we ended up with was the chicken and rolls. I see from the other comments it apparently happens to everyone. They really need to get their act together. I’ll go back but will check my order

A pointless chain, if there every was one. The food is bland. The service is very slow. The bathroom was dirty. My friend and I spent $ 16 on very little. We are not huge eaters, and we left the place still hungry. I will not return.

Blehhh. Over priced. Small portions. The chicken was dry. Pork was ok. Just not my type of place, others love it. Best in growth.

Pros: Clean, a $ 9.99 neighborhood coupon for a whole chicken with sides of beans and rice with four rolls, average chicken, a variety of chicken dipping sauces. Cons: Where to start? The order arrived at out table with four plates(we were a party of three), two sets of silverware, a bowl of black beans that had been spilled all over the server’s tray but served, dripping from every degree of the bowl’s perimeter, and four cold, hard and stale rolls. Of the four melamine plates delivered to our table, three had dried food bits(big bits of identifiable broccoli, carrot and onion). Went to exchange plates for clean ones and was given attitude. WTF? Got two new plates(didn’t need the third extra plate) and watched as the server put the same dirty plates back on the shelf. The reason I don’t give Pollo one star is the chicken was A-OK in Unilocal parlance. Can’t figure out why they’re serving rolls vs. corn tortillas in SA(Florida roots?). That’s a big miss. The beans were A-OK as well, but the rice was meh. Better rice at my local taquerias(Guadalajara and Los Dos Laredos). The lack of attention to detail(cold hard rolls, spilled beans, visibly dirty dishes and attitude) indicate a serious problem with either the training regimen, management, or both). In any case, this place has been here long enough that all kinks should be ironed out. I’ll keep my business elsewhere, be it Pollo Loco(been once in three+ years) or Pollos Asados Los Nortenos(a short drive down US87). I’d be hard-pressed to return given my first experience. I might be convinced, but not anytime soon. YMMV.

I grudgingly give this 4 stars becuase the food has been delicious every time and my toddler loves it. However all but one of my trips have reaulted in me having to walk back in because of some mistake with my order. We usually do the drive through but i have done the order ahead and walk in thing as well and without fail something gets forgotten or the wrong side is placed in our order. As i previously stated the food is awesome. The chicken is always moist the sides are fresh and taste great. The corn cassarole is a personal favorite. I have not had a bad dish there yet. All in all good food still a little rough around the edges on service.

I pass this place almost on a daily basis going to and from work. I have always wanted to try it and I decided to today since it didn’t look to busy. I went inside and there was about 4 people in front of me. Once I got up there I ordered a chicken avocado wrap, mac and cheese and a drink(it was a combo) and it was only about $ 6. I got my buzzer that alerts when my order is ready and sat at a table near the register. I was on my phone for a while and kept watching all the people who were in front of me get their food so surely I thought I was next. Then after a little longer people who came in after me got their food. I started to notice how much time had past and nothing. After about 30 minutes I walked to the counter and 4 or 5 people just stared at me without asking if I needed anything or needed help. There was a girl who was serving peoples food and I stopped her and asked if I could speak to someone about my meal. She asked me what was wrong and I showed her my receipt. At that point it had been almost 45 minutes since I paid for my food. She took my receipt and showed it to a lady(who had been one of the people to just stare at me at the counter) and they both looked kind of panicked. I saw the lady point to a plate that was already prepared and the server girl grabbed the burrito off of it and then grabbed a different cup of mac and cheese and throw it in a bag. She brought it to me and I was like umm no I don’t want someone else’s food and I asked for a refund but she said«No no no this is your food». I told her I saw her grab it and she assured me it was mine. Since i was already late for work I just left. After all that when I got back to work I was so mad and irritated. I was still hungry so I open the wrap and it wasn’t mine! It was a chicken quesadilla. Definitely not what I ordered. This was horrible customer service and management. I’m amazed this place is busy as often as it is. I will not be back.

My husband and I and my 2 year old just ate lunch here today for the first time. The chicken was a real chicken breast and it tasted really good, my husband and I both ate a chicken sandwich, it was supposed to come with cheese though but we didn’t get any. My daughter got a white rice and black bean bowl and chicken, we ordered a mango and another drink and it taste like real fruit juice. We were also given a strawberry cake for free, and it was really good and a nice treat.

This place is a great go to for some tasty chicken! Although it is a fast food chain, they do a great job with keeping the flavor of their food. Stick with a chicken dish and you don’t be disappointed. They also have a little sauce bar, my favorite is the cilantro garlic, be sure to try it! For the service, it is bad, and I have been here a several times, the service disappoints every time. When you place your order at the register they barely even acknowledge you are there. One time a cashier was texting on their phone, while I stood there. So come here for the food and not the service. I like just taking out so avoid the service all together. If you do take out be sure to check your food before your leave because they always mess it up!

My first dine here was over all pleasant! I like the variety of menu items & healthy options. I ordered the half chicken with green beans & yellow rice with veggies. I only have three small complaints… Great salsa, but no tortilla chips offered. Second, no corn tortillas offered. Third. The quality of the flour tortillas is not good! I did like the guava BBQ sauce with my chicken! Mmmmmm
