Pet Bath & Beyond

I went here at the recommendation of a neighbor, but I was dissatisfied with their service.
I specifically told them not to cut his nails (I’d just done them when I adopted him, and they had to be cauterized). They did it anyway and left the edges really sharp and uneven. I noticed when I put him in the car, so we went back inside, and asked them to file them again. They still had lots of sharp edges; I wound up filing them myself at home.
The haircut was lopsided on his head with lots of long edges around him mouth. He’s a service dog and VERY passive, he’s not difficult to handle at all. I don’t know why they did such an uneven and sloppy job on his face. I had to trim and even out that myself as well. Finally, there was so much cut hair on him that my car and clothes were covered with tiny pieces of cut hair. Why they didn’t blow it all off as the other groomer did? I shouldn’t have tiny cut dog hairs all over the place.
They aren’t inexpensive. I don’t mind paying more for good service, but I wasn’t satisfied. I should have just driven the 45 minutes to his old groomer. Instead of saving time, I spent more money and had to fix their sloppy job.
Maybe that’s why they had a same day appointment available? Lesson learned.

Sad to say I will no longer be coming here. Just picked my Hewie up this afternoon and they trimmed his whiskers. Who would do that? Anyone who is a professional groomer would know you should not do this to a cat. I tried calling them to ask, but did not get a return phone call. Then I looked at a picture of my Hew that I took yesterday and you can clearly see his whiskers have been trimmed.

i have taken my 2 morkies here many times, around 6 times at least.
First few times i loved it, but after they get comfortable with you so they start half a*sing their services.
For my two dogs it would cost me around $ 80, and to be honest i have no idea why.
One time, they confused my dogs sexes, and Theddy (my male) was wearing a pink bow and Layla (my female) was wearing a bandanna. Um. Theddy isn’t neutered, how could you have mistaken him for a girl with his genitals hanging so obviously?
Also, i paid them to cut and file their nails and for a teethe cleaning (which is «A La Carte»). none of those things were done.
Their breath smelt awful (usually after the dental cleaning their breathe smells nice or minty) and their nails were cut but not filed, so when he got on top of my 3 year old niece, his sharp nails managed to make her bleed.
Have not been there ever since and this was ⁰⁹⁄₂₀₁₅
Thinking about going back because i haven’t found anyone that wont charge me an arm and a leg just because their yorkie mixes.

My dog struggles with separation anxiety so as you could imagine I’m a little uneasy dropping him off at the groomers for extended periods of time. Not the case here! They were so friendly, and so loving with my little guy. I dropped him off and less than 2 hours later he was ready and looking fly! After seeing how happy he was in there, we will definitely be coming back!

My rag doll got the lion cut and half of her whiskers were missing when I picked her up. They did not take responsibility but said that whiskers grow back. The cut looks like a 8 year old did it. Such poor service and a horrible experience. Not only did I pay $ 80 but the front desk girl advised that I give Max (groomer) a tip.
I don’t have kids but I love my animals and rarely write low reviews but felt the need to share my horrible experience here.

Very nice people! And a cute, clean boutique too. I brought my 1 year old Pomeranian there for his first trim. It costs $ 51 for a bath and haircut, but I had to pay an extra $ 30 for him to be dematted.
Unfortunately, no matter how many times I let them know that I wanted to keep it long (going for the traditional pom style), they really did not meet my expectations. I had high hopes for this place, but now I’m not so sure. They didn’t shave him and it is a clean cut at least! But it was definitely not what I expected/​wanted. Was it an impossible request? Now all his beautiful, year’s worth of fluff is gone…

This place is great. They have very open availability and my dogs love the staff. I was pleased with the price, which was less than what I was paying at Petsmart. I have not had a bad experience here, and I highly recommend this groomed.

Very unhappy with the grooming! I asked for a 1″ on the body ONLY. Come to get her and shes shaved all around. This after I even showed him a pic! Will NOT be coming back!

I have never taken my pets to a non major company groomer such as Petco… And never will again! This place was recommended to me by my veterinarian and I couldn’t be happier. The service was excellent, it was a great deal cheaper then I am used to, and my pups look great. I will definitely be coming back here.
One little thing, don’t like the smell in there. It smells a little like poop.

If I had reviewed on my first visit, it would have been a different rating. Hence the second visit. HOWEVER, I am in disbelief at the poor care of my dog when she went in for her second grooming. Her back foot has not stopped bleeding for about 2 hours now. Not only is one nail cut completely to her pad, but her pad is also cut!!! I’m so mad! It looks like the work of an amateur. I understand that sometimes we clip too far. Accidents happen. But how do you cut it SO close and manage to cut her pad while you’re at it? I’ve now got bloody car seats, bloody carpet, and an injured dog that I paid money to have groomed. Plus, they let my husband leave with her just saying «it’s like cutting your nails too short.» I understand that normally that is the case. If you could see the hack job on her paw and just how short (what’s left of) the nail is, no one would agree with that comment. I feel terrible for dropping her off here and I won’t again. It’s too bad because I was actually pleased with the first spa experience at Pet Bath and Beyond.

Love this place! They did a great job! I used to take my dog to petsmart and hated how they would leave his haircut but this place was awesome!

Had my dog groomed for the second time today and I was so pleased! The first time I had her to get groomed, I took her to Petsmart, and she looked the same exact way as when I brought her in! But this time I took her to Pet Bath and Beyond and I wasn’t sure what to do but the groomer came out and asked exactly what I wanted and gave a lot of suggestions since I was unsure. When I came and picked her up I was shocked at how fantastic she looked! Like a totally different dog! I will definitely be coming back!

I took my husky to Pet, Bath and Beyond today for a bath. I was very pleased with the work they did! First off, the ladies there are super nice and they put in a lot of time into my dog. When he was done he was fully prepared for snuggles and cuddles being the fluffiest and softest pup ever. They even trimmed up his nails even though I didn’t ask them to. They also have pet safe doggie cologne, so now my dog smells like Ralph Lauren Polo… the superior dog scent. To say the least I am satisfied with their work and so is my doggie!

Great place to take your dog to for a bath.
The ladies working there are really nice. I picked up my husky and his fur was super soft and didnt smell like bath water. I also sprayed my dog the Polo scent on him there.
They give a military discount and first-​timer discount.
Price was $ 44 when I left.

Finally, I’ve found a place I can take my dog to, reliably. I’ve tried two other dog groomers in the city, trying to find the best place for Bolivia (a lab/​spaniel mix who has longish hair and fluffy ears). My first visit was in May when I needed my dog to be groomed desperately and didn’t feel comfortable going to the previous two businesses I had taken her to previously. I called last minute and they were able to take her in that day and were incredibly friendly about it.
I brought Bolivia in and she was done within a few hours. She looked like a million bucks. They did a full groom on her. They also have a «scent» bar where you can choose your own scent for your furry friend. I’ve never used the scent bar before because I’m not really sure where to spray my dog with it and nobody has really explained it to me, but I’ve made a promise to myself to ask next time I stop in.
The only thing that’s stopping me from giving Pet Bath & Beyond five stars is the price. Bolivia is about 40lbs, give or take a few pounds during the year, she’s by all means a medium sized dog. When I ask for her to be groomed, it also includes a shave presumably. All in all, it comes out to roughly $ 75. After tip, I’m usually out $ 90 to have my dog groomed. I’ve been back a second time and the price was the same. While I understand their placement in an affluent neighborhood, the price was a little bit scary.
For now, I enjoy going to Pet Bath & Beyond and taking my dog there and will save up my pennies to take her there as needed.

… Because I totally recommend these groomers! This was a ‘JUST WOW’ place.
I was surprisingly really really really… happy with everything. They did such a great job and I am saying this even when I had a bad day.
I called, got to take in my dog 30 minutes after I called, they had her cut, cleaned, soft as ever, and so happy under 4 hours. She didn’t smell bad afterwards (usually when we get her groomed, she smells). Her hair was very even. They cut her nails. They put a pretty pink bow on her. They were less expensive than the other groomer I went to. The entire time I was there, the front ladies were incredibly bubbly and laughing the day away. I could tell they REALLY enjoyed being there which I think is awesome. The front lady made me laugh while I waited for my dog and even offered to give me the wifi password while I waited. SO incredibly nice.
The really cool thing about this place: they really care and you can tell by they way they work, the dogs that come out (especially the dogs with artistic hairstyles), and all the smiles. People came in to have just their dog’s nails trimmed (it took literally two minutes), other came in to pick up dogs from being baby-​sat, other for grooming, and more. There is a cute section in the front that sells leather leashes and collars, along with other types, dog clothes, their shampoos, and more.
I bought a leather collar and they even opened the package to see if it fit my dog. Super impressed. Super nice. This place is awesome.
Keep doing what you are doing. I don’t think I could be happier with the services I received today from this place. Totally deserving this awesome Unilocal

I have been searching for a good quality but affordable pet groomer for a very long time. I’ve most consistently gone to the Petco on dezavala, and although they did a good job on my pet, and the staff is friendly and the facility is clean, I always felt that it was overpriced and expensive. Pet bath and beyond is way more affordable than most other groomers and is by far one of the nicest pet facilities I have even been to. The staff is exceptional and extremely accommodating. They fit us in with very short notice and even stayed open a bit later to accommodate our late start time. They were friendly and gentle with my shy and nervous dog. the store is so cute and bright and clean. And you really can’t beat the price. I’m happy to say that I have now found my new regular groomer!

I was looking for a close and affordable groomer. I’m glad I found this place, my dogs (2 weimeranars) always come home with a shiny coat and smell fresh.

Never had a pet before that needed professional grooming. Have a terrier mix with slightly wiry hair. She’s all white so shows dirt easily.
Dropped her off in the morning. Had made an appt online weeks before but apparently they don’t use the web site any longer (which is a shame because it is really a great site) so they didn’t have my reservation. However, they didn’t seem to mind taking her as a drop-​in, although I believe an appt is helpful.
Picked her up after work and she looked great! Soft as I’ve ever felt her. Her face gets overgrown around the muzzle and eyebrows but she was all cleaned and trimmed up. They trimmed her nails and the hair around her paws. Even put cute little 4^th of July bows in her hair.
The owner is amazing and knows her stuff. She really seems to love pets and enjoy her job.
Overall I was very impressed. We will be back!
