They didn’t honor a coupon they had sent in the mail, even though there were no restrictions on the promotion. Misrepresentation at it’s finest. The clothes are great, but with limited sizing and rude staff this place seems like a pet project, not a business for profit. Some of the mark ups were so bizarrely beyond the retail it’s almost offensive.

Warm and wonderful owners, buyers and sisters Holly and Heidi, along with store manager Adrianna, create the perfect atmosphere for the serious culling of new designers. Great gate keepers of what’s about to happen in San Antonio’s fashion scene.

Penny Lane is a gem in the sand of Alamo Heights. This cute little boutique can be missed in a blink of an eye if your don’t know where TCBY is. The store is really quiet and intimate so it’s great to go shop there if you’re not into big stores. The clothes are gorgeous. The first thing that caught my eye was this beautiful silk champagne maxi dress in the window. The store really has something for everyone. There’s anything from plan t-shirts to beautiful evening dresses. Another great thing about the store is that they actually sell bras which is something that I have yet to see a boutique like this. There isn’t a wide selection but a selection nonetheless. Besides bras Penny Lane also carries a selection of earrings, bracelets, necklaces, belts, and some shoes. If you have kids don’t be afraid to take them to Penny Lane because there may be something for them as well. Penny Lane carries a few pieces for the kids so you may find something for them while you’re shopping for yourself. Personally I’m a big fan of the blouses that they carry. When I went in I found a great button down plaid shirt and a few shirts down found a fantastic embroidered shirt to wear out at night. Penny Lane is definitely a great find and I highly recommend going in at some point soon.
