Great large mall. Everyone comes here. Next to all the hotels. Smiling people. Next to airport. Go live life

Gave a couple of stars for having the staple stores my family and I shop at: MAC, GAP/​BR, Macy’s, Foot Locker, etc. Overall I’d rather avoid this place if I can. Gets way too crowded and some of the stores and parts of the mall seem to have a climate control issue (uncomfortably warm!). The Forum in NE S.A. and online are where I get most of my shopping done these days.
Tip: Avoid the crowds by going early and/​or on a weekday if possible. Weekend afternoons are ridic!

Going to San Antonio I knew I had to come to this mall. I was not disappointed at all. They have several stores and the mall is very big. I didn’t even get to make it around half of the mall because I was in a rush (however, my bank statement says I had plenty of time in the mall lol).
I will return if I’m ever in the San Antonio area again.

Went to the mall and parking was bad because it was busy. I had 3 cars who were very impatient and very rude. They even rolled down their window and gave me some choice words. I was waiting for a car who was not ruhimg to get out. The people in the car sid not care about people who were waiting. Where did the manners of our 20ish men and women go? Why do the feel they can verbally attack others. Caution when going on a holiday to North Star Mall.

Fantastic mall!!! Honestly the best mall in San Antonio. You can’t miss it. It’s the one with the giant cowboy boots out front. Great stores! Dillards, Macys, J.C.Penny, Saks Fifth Ave, H & M, Abecrombe, Victorias Secret, Forevet 21. Steve Madden. Tons more. All indoor shopping. Super nice, upscale stores Nice food court too. Love love looooove this mall. Trust me… you’ll come here with money & leave broke but looking gooood. Beauty is expensive. Parking can be annoying but there are garages (4 stories) Small spaces. There is even valet parking for those of you who prefer that sort of personal service. Wear comfortable shoes tho bc the size of this mall inside is deceptively larger than it looks.
I’ve been coming here since the mall opened. I remember when there were saturday afternoon fashion shows at Frost Bros by the fountain.,(my mom won a dress once at the fashion show from some hign end designer when i was young) Joskes, Karotkins Furniture, Rhoads Department Store, and Foleys .
This mall has evolved and grown over there years to be a première shopping destination. I love it

Nice mall! This mall have a very nice selection of stores from H&M to Victoria’s Secret to Steve Madden ! It is very clean in there, looks very upscale even though I believe it’s not considered a high end mall. The stores I went into had a great selection of men clothes like H&M, Abercrombie, and Forever 21. I was shocked to see how the small the food court was ! Being that it is a mall in San Antonio, I expected the food court to be bigger. All in all the selections they do have were great! I stopped by Luciano’s Pizzeria and woww! If you don’t have one in your hometown you should try it if in the area ! This mall is a must visit in San Antonio for wonderful indoor shopping !

Visiting in San Antonio, and this is the first mall my sister took me to while here. Wow, can we say overcrowded, rude customer service and slightly racist! I mean, I’d expect ‘shitacular’ service when I’m back home in NYC, but where was the customer service and southern hospitality here? Went to Candy Express and experienced racial profiling with my four nieces from TOM there! Very unacceptable and I fully intend on writing a email to his CEO or whoever owns that store. This mall is a MUST NOT for anyone visiting. Southern hospitality does NOT exist here!

North Star Mall is the best mall in San Antonio when it comes to a great selection of stores. Not only does it have a great store selection but it also has an awesome food court. From Chick-​Fil-​A to Chinese food there’s always a good selection of food. Get there early to beat the crowds, especially during the Christmas season. It is crazy packed. Even inside the mall is packed like sardines when people are walking. So if you are not into crowds, avoid this mall. The reason why I’m giving this four stars is because you guess it, parking. Everytime I come to this mall I usually have to park in the garage at Macy’s due to the high traffic congestion below.

Nice upscale mall with plenty of high-​end shopping and a decent food court. Don’t come here looking for souvenirs though!

Pretty neat mall. Great selection of stores. You can’t tell me that you would not be able to find one store you like in this place. I even sat and had a chair massage while I was there. It was plenty of walking so wear your walking shoes. Bring plenty of cash when you come because it will be needed. LOL

This mall is always so packed. Ingram and the others aren’t as bad as this one. I just absolutely hate it.
And the customer service in a lot of these stores is so bad. It’s nonsense.

This is my first visit to the Texas and the San Antonio area. I didn’t realize there were soooo MANY malls to choose from! My sis suggested we come here because of the area its in and he store selections.
Well this mall had everything I needed. It had a nice selection of mid priced stores mixed in with NICE, finer shops. It wasn’t overly crowded but the people there seemed pleasant. The layout is pretty simple and there seemed to be something nice around every corner. I didn’t think that they have very good food selection though, Maybe there is more than one food court and I missed it.
I would definitely return to this mall.

I’m giving this mall 5 stars simply because their forever21 store is my favorite store in the world and it is ginormous here!

It was my favorite mall until I needed their help to settle a problem with one of their booths. The SUNGLASS SHOP BOOTH SOLD ME COUNTERFEITED GUCCI SUNGLASSES, I asked the mall administration to step in and settle the dispute and they didn’t do anything. I guess I expected more of a high end mall like North Star Mall.

Get real!!! They make wait FOREVER! Half the people that work here are busy talking to each other and the other half is halfheartedly helping customers.

This mall used to be as good as it gets but not until La Cantera opened. This mall reminds me of Ingram clientele with a few of those stores trickling in. There used to be a Bebe, J Crew and Arden B. But I guess the demand was not there. I do however appreciate Express, Aldo’s (which is the larger one out of all of their locations) BCBG (even though they have the same shiz for months at a time), Guess Marciano (only location), Sephora, Nine West, MAC, the Forever 21 is huge and of course they have their very own PINK store. I can definitely tolerate this mall since it is pretty close to me, indoors and works when it’s raining or crazy hot. However La Cantera has the upper hand on stores BIG TIME and better selections.

Now if you need to shop this is the mall to come and do your shopping, plenty of store selections and when you get hungry which you will there is a nice big food court with entry of sitting. They also offer small stations if you need to charge your smartphones…

North Star is probably one of the best malls in San Antonio. I hear people try to compare this mall to the newer La Cantera Mall out on the northside of town. But, if you ask me, this place is better. Indoors! Air Conditioning! Food Court! Awesome.
The store selection is always fun, and there is some rotation of tenants in there.
I appreciate the higher end merchants that reside in here!
There is usually plenty of parking in the garages they have here, but parking on the surface can be difficult. Just look out for how small those parking spaces are!

This mall is pretty nice. I would come again. I think San Antonio is a city full of sneaker heads because there are at least 5 sneaker stores here, which is ok by me. Food court had a good selection, was clean and lots of parking.

I only come to San Antonio once or twice a year, but I always try to make a stop at the North Star Mall. I know there are newer outdoor shopping centers now open in the city, but this place strikes a cord with me. They have a Saks, an Abercrombie, and a Banana Republic… and many clothing stores that cater to women. I haven’t tried the Food Court. but they also have a Cheesecake Factory. I like it here… you will too. They have an awesome Santa at Christmas time.

You know how your car’s rear-​view mirror has that note stating «objects in mirror are closer than they appear»? This mall is like that, except the interior is larger than the exterior appears. I suspect witchcraft is to blame.
In any case, though it’s been updated, this mall still feels vaguely dated.
Store variety is good with several mid– to high-​end department stores and specialty shops, along with some smaller boutiques and essential staple stores like Claires and Hot Topic. Don’t forget the Auntie Annie’s pretzels and the food court upstairs!
I try to avoid malls in general but this one has several stores that don’t have better locations, but the parking situation is a bit of a disaster. On your way out the door, pop by the Disney store for some childhood magic before venturing out to your car and the awaiting traffic.
Insider tip: shop online between Halloween and Valentine’s day, the holiday crazy is especially concentrated here.

From the outside you’ll never know how big this mall really is. I came in for JC Penny and didn’t know the mall was attach to it.

This mall does the job. It has all of the places you come to expect when it comes to retail. As all of the other Unilocalers have already said, you probably wanna avoid this place at all costs during the holidays. It can be a REAL cluster ****.
I’d give this mall a silver medal as far as San Antonio options go. Only La Cantera is superior. This mall has a mediocre food court though so come after you’ve already munched. Although there is a lot of parking, this place regularly gets backed up and you end up driving around forever looking for a decent spot. It causes the same level of desperation as Mad Maxx looking for gasoline in a post apocalyptic world.
Once you make it IN the mall, it’s not half bad. They have something for everyone. Clothing stores like J Crew and Express are here as well as Women’s stores like Mac and Armani Exchange. Beyond the normal places to expect, they also have a build-​a-​bear store and even a Godiva store!
All in all, I like this mall but I highly recommend you only come to this mall during off hours and on weekdays.

Compared to malls I’ve been to all over the U. S, this one is a darn ugly mall. But for SA, it’s prob the best INDOOR mall. It has the essential stores where I normally shop (Bare Escentuals, Forever 21, A’Gaci, Macy’s, Dillard’s, MAC, Sephora, etc.)
Baby strollers EVERYWHERE!!! This mall gets way too crowded. Parking is a pain because there are a ton of idiot drivers in SA.
Anyways, I’m giving it an extra star just cuz I’m being nice and not comparing it to other malls nationwide (but rather just the malls in SA) — it’s an A-​OK mall.
