NewForest Estates

I moved into NewForest Estates independent living a while back and am excited to share my story about my home. I love that they allow pets, I don’t have any, but I love animals. The cost was much better than I expected. The people were so friendly here. Everyone knew my name within a few days, this includes staff and my new neighbors. The management staff is great!
After about 8 months living here I started getting confused. I started to need more help putting on my earrings and shoes. Randy noticed what I didn’t and had a conversation with me about assisted living. Initially I became depressed about my decline. I spoke with my Dr, and he agreed that some additional assistance would be a good thing for me. I moved into Assisted Living here at Newforest. After my move I started getting into the social events such as Bingo, and Happy Hour. This allowed me to really get to know the other people here. I learned to love all my neighbors and their handicaps. This caused me to rethink my condition and made me feel better about myself. I now realize I am not going through this stage of life alone. My life has changed for the better. I am happier, more relaxed, more content, and less challenged. I even find myself singing a lot now. Whenever I have a problem I go to my Assisted Living Director and he takes care of everything. I find that I am no longer defensive. When I moved to assisted living I worked hard with therapy to get stronger. My goal was to move back to Independent living. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to move, I would do it again in a heart beat. Now that I realize the pressure I was under with my day to day life I would not move back if I had a choice. The staff here is wonderful, and I can tell that they love what they do. They are here to help me. I am happy and can say I truly love it here. This is my home.

Newforest estates is an independent and assisted living senior living community. We offer 3 meals a day served restuarant style, weekly housekeeping, transportation, and a variety of activities. Please call us and set up a tour and lunch.

My mother had a stroke about 15 years ago, we have tried different senior facilities throughout that time. This New Forest facility is great. The staff is very thoughtful and the director Randy has been the most compassionate we have encountered. We highly recommend considering this facility for your loved ones.
