This company was sent to move my 1 bedroom when the company originally hired did not show up. They were polite and efficient. I had a quick uncomplicated move and I would recommend them for such moves.

SAVEYOURTIME, ANDYOURMONEY — DON’T USETHESEMOVERS! When i had hip replacement surgery scheduled on short notice, moving from my 2-story, 1000 s.f. condo to my boyfriend’s 3000 s.f., single story home, made sense. With quite limited mobility, I knew I had to hire movers. Watching the video online for Born 2 Mover Movers, along with an upbeat and responsive phone chat for an estimate, had me feeling good about using this company for my move. That quickly changed, as spelled out below. Probably the most frustrating part of the whole thing is that, in the beginning of my questioning phase, I was merely seeking answers to my questions. When the company was suddenly inaccessible to me, I was no longer interested in talking with them, and now want questionable charges refunded, as well as compensation for being strung along. I filed the following complaint with the BBB on 5/1, and they forwarded it to the company(Born 2 Move Movers) on 5⁄2. To date, I’ve heard nothing back from the movers. In addition to being strung along and overcharged(see below), we were also unhappy that the moving truck lacked inside lighting, which became an issue as they were unpacking at new location, in the dark. They asked that we park a car with headlights on behind the truck so they could see, since the lighting was«burned out», a request that left my mild-mannered boyfriend rather upset. In addition, they lacked the rolls of plastic wrap to wrap my furniture and secure some rolling storage racks-of-drawers in my garage. Mild-mannered boyfriend informed me the movers«weren’t too happy» with the drawers not being secured. When he asked them about the plastic wrap, they told boyfriend that they’d «ran out» on the job prior to ours. Business Name: Born 2 Move Movers Address: 11933 Perin Beitel Rd #701 San Antonio, TX78217 Phone:(210) 584‑4259 Complaint Details I scheduled a move for 1030 on 4⁄28 with Born 2 Move movers, who were initially very easily accessible by phone. The evening of 4⁄27 I was called, asking if move could be pushed back to noon on the 28th. «No problem», I said. At approximately 1:15 pm on 4/28, with no movers in sight, I called Born 2 Move, and I was told that«the crew will be finished with their current job in about 45 minutes», after which they’d reportedly be heading to my house. The man I spoke with said, «I should have called you, sorry.» At approximately 2:30 pm — still no movers in sight, I called again, and got the same response — current job would be done«in about 45 minutes». By approximately 3:30 pm I was ready to cancel the move with this business when I got a call from Milton, the driver on the job ahead of me, and he told me they’d be done«in about 45 minutes» after which time they’d head my way. I told him I was rather frustrated, being told for the third time, that my job was delayed«for 45 minutes». Milton apologized and told me he didn’t know who I’d talked with previously, but he had the most accurate info, seeing as he was the one on the job. He & assistant arrived at approx. 4:30, looked over the job, confirmed I’d been quoted $ 130 for for first two hours, then $ 70/hour thereafter, all payable in cash only. We agreed on the starting time of the move, and they began loading the truck. When we arrived at the new destination, I was informed I needed to pay $ 406.26 for an estimated 5 hour job. At the end of the job, the amount would be adjusted up or down, based on the actual length of the job. When all was complete, the job was done within 5 hrs. The next day as I calculated the price of the move, my total for 5 hours was $ 340(2 hours at $ 130, then 3 additional hours at $ 70/hr = $ 130 + $ 210 + $ 340). So, I was curious as to how their numbers were calculated. I realized, too, I’d received no documentation from the movers whatsoever — no explanation of charges, no explanation of the insurance for damages, etc.(Milton had told us we had 30 days to look things over for damage, then file a claim, stating, «We’re insured & bonded; so there’s no problem if you see damage».) Yesterday, 4÷30÷13, I called and left a message stating I had some questions, and would appreciate a call back, at my work number, which has voicemail. Several hours later, having heard nothing, I called again, and spoke to a man who said, «Can I call you back in a few minutes?» Sure, I said. As of this date & time(5÷1÷13, 5:45 pm), I’ve heard nothing from them. So, now I’d like compensation: I would like a refund for the unexplained $ 66.26 charge. I’d like a refund for two hours($ 140) due to being strung along by ficititious show times — which were only furnished when I initiated contact — and which showed complete and total lack of respect for our schedules. I’d also like written information on how to file claims for damages incurred in the move. I’d like assurance that filed damages will be addressed. I’d like copies of all the paperwork I initialed and sign
