The 2 stars are for the ice cream only wich is always excellent. The problem was the girl who served us apparently thought that she was too good for everyone. Very rude and stuck up. As long as she’s not working I would definitely recommend this place.

Customer service was ok but we were there close to closing time. This place is very expensive and serves below average ice cream and waffle cups. Everything tastes the same in my opinion.

Experienced a roach problem tonight at this location. Not only that but while we were eating, the lights were cut off and we were to to leave because it was a couple of minutes after closing. WILLNOTBECOMINGBACKTOTHISESTABLISHMENT. If I could rate it zero stars I would

Was great, got ice cream and sat down — then heard commotion and there is a snake crawling behind the counter

So much for National Ice Cream day! Went today after having a nice dinner at CPK, although it was busy obviously because of today’s date, they were fully staffed and it should have never taken me 39 minutes to get my ice cream. Not only was I frustrated with the fact that there were only two people handling the line when they had enough people to help but also because they have no kind of urgency to get the line moving. One other thing that has to be the cherry on top is when one of the 2 employee’s friend stopped by, he stopped doing his job to talk to them for a bit while the store had about 12 people just waiting… unbelievable. The ice cream cone that was handed to me was extremely sloppy looking and it was already starting to melt like if the ice cream wasn’t kept at a decent temperature to keep it from dripping everywhere when given to a customer. I had a hard enough time trying to get my wallet out to pay but what ticked me off was the melting ice cream cone was dripping all over my new purse. I wanted to just toss my ice cream down but asked for a cup to put it into instead since I just payed for it. Honestly felt like I wasted my money and time at this location today. Never will I return.

I haven’t been to this location in years. I was craving ice cream and since I was in the Huebner Oaks area what better time than to have Marble Slab. I came in the evening and the line wasn’t bad. I ordered the regular butter pecan crunch with cookies n cream. The part I was upset about was the lack of employees at the counter. Both were making ice cream and handling the cash register. When it came to paying for our ice cream it took longer than five minutes and then the person behind me paid for her ice cream first instead of me paying first. And they don’t sell water so if you want water get it from the from the fountain. Being that it’s summer time this is peak season for families to get ice cream they need to equip more employees and have better service.

Do not go to this establishment! Customer service is beyond poor!!! Even though my husband was inside the establishment they refused to serve him. They said two quarters are the maximum during closing time. We are a family of three. We asked to speak to a manager and we were told they can not give out this information. 17.99 for two quarters of ice cream is pricey to be told that only two of us could get what we ordered. Did I mention we ordered ahead of time over the phone? Save your money and give it to establishments that actually take care of there customers and treat them like family!!! P. S. All employees should wear name tags to help identify the customer service problem. Actually the problem starts and ends with management.

Do not go close to closing time. My friends and I got in line 20 mins before they closed. When we got up the the counter to order they told us they were closed and the register was turned off. It sounded like it was on some kind of automatic shutdown because they had to restart it. After register came back on and we got ice cream. Just seemed rude to tell us after waiting 20 mins I am sorry we are closed. The ice cream was fine, but the experience is what gave them 3 stars.

My kids and I got SICK eating here. We went to this place this past Thursday and by Friday morning my kids and I was sick with stomach problems. The only per that did not get sick was my wife because she did not eat. Best been warned. I will not eat here again for obvious reasons.

Ice cream was OK nothing special. Might have had a better and cheaper night at sonics with a sonic blast! But had to try it. Customer service was HORRIBLE! No enthusiasm at all. Just a boring place. The girl serving us the ice cream didn’t wash her hands after mopping the floor and her hair was very messy. My husband was pretty disgusted so we decided to bounce! That place looks good too be so nasty. Needs new young faces with hyper energy and cleaner profiles

Nothing particularly special here. Good ice cream but slightly expensive due to the optional toppings. Decent service, convenient location to a movie theater, two location date?

ROACHPROBLEM! I went in tonight with my family. We were asking to taste some flavors I happened to look back into the back room kitchen and saw roaches all over the floor we promptly left ! Dont go there it is disgusting! It’s full of German cockroaches! I’m going to turn them into the health inspector tomorrow!!!

It’s a ripoff to pay for mix-ins if you don’t want any. 4.99 plus tax for a small cone. Marble slab has mediocre ice cream and they have always given low value for the money but with this change, I am no longer a customer. I’ll go buy myself a pint of Ben and Jerry’s for $ 3.99 at the store!

Fantastic customer service! The 3 people I’ve met from Marble Slab at this location have been absolutely friendly and definitely put the customer first. I love ice cream. The ice cream here is creamy and has a variety of interesting flavors. I’ve tried the red velvet, cheesecake, sweet cream, and mint. All of them were great, especially with the suggested mix-ins. From what I’ve seen on the posters on the windows, they have deals! If the price is deterring you from going, check out those deals! PS a tiramisu flavor is coming… :O

I do like ice cream, but I can’t fathom spending $ 5 – 6 on a small ice cream in a cone. They are extremely expensive compared to other chains and they aren’t even in that good. I bought the 2012 Entertainment book for San Antonio and decided to go and get some ice creams for my family figuring that we had a free cone with mix-in so it probably wouldn’t be that much. Boy was I wrong. We got four ice creams total with mix-ins and also had a coupon for a free one, so we were technically only paying for 3 and the total came out to $ 21.70! I could’ve paid for a meal with that. The price is one thing, but what you’re getting is also important and Marble Slab is not one of my favorite ice cream places around. Maybe it’s different when you’re just buying ONE for yourself, but even then, I feel like you’re getting extremely ripped off. No like!

I like going and grabbing some ice cream after a movie or a date so Marble Slab is perfect. Except if you’re on a date because they give you so much ice cream. Ask for one scoop and that’ll probably be enough for you. I definitely agree with the previous reviews on their price. It’s a bit steep. I went here one night with a friend and we spent about $ 10 between the two of us on one scoop each in a cup. It’s definitely worth it if you’re out on a mission for ice cream. I love going and trying to decide which type of toppings I’l get. I usually gravitate towards getting coffee ice cream with some white chocolate chips. Love it!

I like Marble Slab but I agree with Leslie(excuse me, I mean ‘Dee’! *smile*) — they are a bit pricey. And even though the price difference for the ice cream chain I actually DO like isn’t different at all(Coldstone) I’d still rather go to the latter. Coldstone doesn’t make my brain think too much in terms of putting what toppings with what ice cream since they have a lot more creations available — I’m telling you, I’ll stand in Marble Slab FOREVER trying to decide what I want with whatever the hell.

My first experience with«mix-ins» was at Marble Slab Creamery, and with that first delicious bite they earned my undying devotion. Marble Slab’s ice cream has a richer, more natural flavor than that other mix-in ice cream place, and they don’t force you to listen to their singing weird mash-ups of 80s cartoon theme songs with ice cream lyrics. The only reason I’m not giving them five stars is that one of the ladies behind the counter told me that Marble Slabs always carry at least one batch of all of the flavors in the back room, and I found out later that that just. wasn’t. true. Broke my little black-walnut-ice cream-adoring heart. Boo! Oh Marble Slab, how I love you even though you hurt me so!
