I walked in and the coffee/magazine table had a part of an apple, apple chunks, a tin of some cookie-type food, a bottle, a cup, and an open computer strewn across it. I felt like I was walking into someone’s messy living room. The half-eaten apple was the kicker. I explained that I needed my shellac nail polish removed. One of the girls was finishing up a manicure so I waited. The girl getting a manicure ended up leaving instead of waiting for her nails to dry, and the girl that had worked on her made some comment about her after she left. So tacky. The process of removing the nail polish was terrible. I’ve had shellac removed before and it was easy — stick my hand into some solution and have the residue gently scrubbed off. This time, the solution was smelly acetone remover and the bowl had grime caked on it. Again, I wondered why I didn’t just walk out. Instead of having me soak long enough for the polish to come off on its own, she soon started filing and scraping away at my nails until they were brittle and ugly. My poor nails. The girl was friendly enough while she was working on me and she only charged $ 5, but I would not step foot in here again.

I can’t speak on the regular manicures, pedicures or acrylic jobs, but Helen does an amazing job on the French UV Gel Polish/Shellac(whatever you want to call it) manicures. My mani lasted 3 weeks both times and I’m headed back today. I am a physician, so I wash my hands an insane number of times during the day, along with the anti-bac foams/gels, and my nails have held up considerably well. Very reasonably priced for the UV Gel mani at $ 30. I came from DC where they started at $ 40 usually. It’s not the best in my life, which is why I didn’t give 5 stars, but I am now a faithful customer :)

I moved to this area about a year and a half ago and found this place, it’s better than some i’ve been to but not the best. They do get busy often but try to make you feel comfortable especially Helen she’s a sweetheart. I do love the pedicures there, I run so I always have problems with my toe nails(gross huh) but they seem to know how to cut them and shape them perfectly it seems like everywhere else had problems doing this. My manis on the other hand aren’t consistant sometimes I love my nails and sometimes I just want to go fix them ASAP(if I hadn’t spent so much there already I probably would).

I went here because I was at the Freebirds next door for dinner and had some time to kill. Good place to grab a quick pedi but you will pay $ 30 for a very quick spa pedicure, as in 20 minutes. I don’t think that they really are working to service clients to make repeat business. It’s okay, not bad but not great.
