Cheap produce, lots of spices and dried chilis, all the Jarritos soda flavors… I’m down for this place. I only with they have freshly made in house salsa, oh and also, I didn’t see any freshly made corn tortillas, just flour. Something I will never understand about Texas Mexican food, all the flour tortillas ya’ll use. It’s really an abomination against tacos. Just saying. Also, the tomatillos here are already husked, which is awesome!

I am livid that I had never heard of this place in the 6 months I’ve lived here in San Antonio. I do all of my grocery shopping exclusively at HEB and Wal-Mart. After receiving a mailer with excellent deals in the mail(2.99 for steak) and(.58/chicken legs), I HAD to check it out. BOY, am I so freaking glad that I did! The savings on produce, vegetables and meat alone is worth it. I saved almost 200 $ on meat and filled my entire deep freezer with chicken, steak, pork and ground beef for 111 $! They have incredible deals on things like cucumbers(10 for 1 $!), ears of corn(10 for 1 $) and they had entire halves of watermelon for 1 $ also. They have an incredible Mexican spice selection and I saved 1 – 2 $ for each bottle of seasoning that I bought. The canned, frozen and boxed goods weren’t exactly a total bargain as I noticed slightly inflated prices compared to Wal-Mart and HEB. I’d suggest buying your meat, veggie and fruit staples here and hit HEB for your«other» goods. This place is way down in Taco Truck land off of Blanco. Buy some cheap groceries and hit up one of the delicious taco trucks for some street tacos and Mexican Coca Cola!

The remodeled meat counter is great. Fernando is really helpful above all others. I now shop here almost exclusively and save money every time. I only go to bigger stores that carry items that this store does not or can not due to it size. Their produce is great Dry and can goods have a good select and better priced than area bigger outlets. This store helps with my fixed income living..

Just a supermarket. Nice staff. They had a few great hot sauces from Mexico you can’t find at HEB. Overall, nice to run in and grab a few things. A little pricier but it is a small store.

I went by to this store today and bought some meat. The meat was so spoiled that when I was cooking it it smelled like a dead animal, so bad it stinked up my house terribly. I took the meat back to the store and gave it to the Manager(James) He took the package with his thumb and index finger and he only said«sorry about that». I hope the health inspection will go to this store and censor they’re whole meat department. Manuel V.

It’s so much better than HEB, in food and prices. Talking about $ 3 dollar difference in 12 Chix wings, $ 8 at HEB and 3.5 at La Fiesta. The produce here is more culture friendly than HEB. I’ll tell you I’ll be doing 90% of my grocery shopping here. So happy there’s one near my home. Price. 9⁄10. Groceries 9⁄10.
